I sent Jefferson Capital Systems LLC Debt Validation Letter, they responded my sending me the same statement. they did not validate the debt or showed me any of the information i asked for stated in the letter

Consumer Complaint: Hello my name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. have a ZERO debt profile with a credit score of only XXXX. Jefferson Capital is the collection agency that are RELENTLESSLY trying to get over {$1800.00} from me for a XXXX bill or debt that is NOT mine. I have tried to no avail to get this company to remove this off of my credit reports. I have requested proof of debt, i have sent in faxes, nothing has worked, As stated above I have ZERO debt and this collection from Jefferson Capital is really a thorn. I take my credit very serious and this debt is causing GREAT HARM to mine and my XXXX year old daughters lives. She wants a puppy and I need space to pursue my art career. Neither can happpen with this collection on my record. I need and want badly for this debt to be fully removed from all three credit bureus so that we can continue our quest to be firs time homeowners here in this great state of Texas. I stated to the representative that I have not had XXXX as my provider. She stated that they have this on record as a debt and they are reporting it on my credit report. I asked her to provide me proof of the debt and advised her to remove it from my credit report. She wasnt willing to provide me proof of the debt belonging to me and demanded payment.

Consumer Complaint: I received notification through credit monitoring that a debt collection from Jefferson Capital Systems was reported on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$700.00}. It originated from XXXX. I called the company and learned it was from XXXX XXXX, had been turned over to debt collection in XXXX of XXXX, and was being pursued for collection with a letter having been issued in XX/XX/XXXX. They can not tell me what the debt is for aside from a phone number not used by any member of our household unless it was a hotspot number. I called XXXX XXXX on a local level. The manager could not, nor would assist. I called XXXX XXXX 's billing department. They could not, nor would assist, aside from providing me with this telephone number for resolution. I called Jefferson Capital Systems again. No assistance, but did file the account as disputed. I've also disputed with XXXX and XXXX. I left XXXX XXXX due to billing issues that arose from their change in billing systems in XXXX. It was a widespread issue that affected many. One month your balance is {$0.00}, the next {$900.00} and overdue. I resolved the issue in store, went straight to XXXX with a {$0.00} balance from XXXX XXXX and terminated my services. The store manager was directly involved and knew I was terminating the account due to the lack of reliability and best business practices of the company. I've also reported to the XXXX. Note, the company 's score is 1.9 of 5 with hundreds of complaints registered. After six years of having no issues, no contact, and no supporting evidence of the debt owed, I believe this is just shy of criminal behavior. I would like this removed from my credit report immediately. Not listed as a charge off. Dismissed. Erased, Gone. The staff of both the collection agency and company are of no assistance and can provide no details. Again, the contract was terminated in XXXX after having been a customer since XXXX. I have maintained the same cell number throughout the years, and continue through today. Also, I will note that during Covid, I was being called and harassed by credit card collections for accounts not even in my name. They were calling me due to an old residence that my husband and his cousin had shared in the past. Because companies could not reach the cousin 's wife, they were calling myself and my son for information. I've never even met this woman. It makes this recent collection all the more suspicious and unnerving. Therefore, I've locked my credit in fear of fraudulent activity. This is impacting my ability to apply for a job. Quick resolution is of the essence.

FCRA section 609 required you to send the wet ink contract bearing my signature showing that I have contractual obligation to pay you. Furthermore, FDCPA Section 807-8 if you are unable to validate this debt I demand you to request all credit reporting agencies delete the entry IMMEDIATELY!

Consumer Complaint: I was laid off in XX/XX/2020 due to covid and fell behind in making my payments to XXXXXXXX XXXX ( now sold to a collection agency JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEM ). I notified the company and tried to make small payments out of good faith. I've asked them to stop reporting late payments and they refused. As a result, they continued to report my payments late and my credit score has decreased. It's not that I don't want to pay them. Due to Covid and the loss of income I have been unable to.
