Consumer Complaint: Had never even heard of Jefferson Capital Systems until I received a notification from XXXX XXXX my score had changed and I checked it. I have never received ANYTHING from this company in an attempt to collect any type of debt. On my credit bureau Jefferson Capital Systems is shown as " CLOSED '' but are reporting that I am in default to them although I have never had any type of corespondance with them. Jefferson is claiming I owe XXXX XXXX {$170.00} on an account I had CLOSED 7+ yrs ago WHEN my CONTRACT ENDED! They have NOT supplied me with ANY type of documentation, statement, account number, contract or contact I will be contacting the FTDCA dept. How can a company possibly report you as deliquent when they have NEVER contacted you! This is Blatant Violation of FDCPA rules and regulations. Time Barred Accounts and Non Validation of this account. I will be filing with the FTC and the Attorney General 's office as well regarding their practices.

Please see the status below : Completed JEFFCAPSYS Reported on XX/XX/XXXX {$130.00} Item Results Result : Verified As Accurate And Updated - It looks like this item is actually correct and that it's going to stay on your credit report, but info has been updated to reflect recent activity. Dispute Reason Ownership : This account was opened fraudulently. **************************************************************************************** I had a XXXX account until XXXX. I never had a XXXX account until XXXX. XXXX called me and saw that it was not my account. They reported as fraud but it is STILL on my credit report under Jefferson Capital System.

Consumer Complaint: Jefferson Capital Systems placed a collections record on my credit with all three bureaus. This collections was a purchased collection that was out of statute of limitations and is a debt too old to be reopened on my credit. This collections started as an account that was opened with them in XXXX of XXXX. No account was opened or agreed to with this company at that time or anytime in the past. I am no longer legally responsible for this debt and their attempt to park debt on my credit report after the statute of limitations is against the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I contacted Jefferson and spoke with a representative that assured me that the dispute would be complete and that the account would be deleted off my credit. The account was not deleted off of my credit and remains open until XXXX of XXXX.

Upon viewing my credit report, Jefferson Capital Systems reported a delinquent account for XXXX XXXX. I NEVER received a letter from Jefferson Capital Systems nor have I received any telephone calls regarding this account. My mobile phone carrier has been XXXX XXXX for over three years. I have never received any communication from XXXX XXXX and I've had the same mailing address for over 12 years. I have Informed Delivery from the USPS.com and I am happy to provide records of my mail that has been delivered. There has been absolutely nothing from XXXX XXXX or Jefferson Capital Systems.
