Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: This account was fraudulently under my name with XXXX XXXX. It was brought to my attention and it was closed out. They sent it out for collections years back which is how I found out about it and we absolved the situation 3 years ago. Now it has appeared again on XX/XX/XXXX on my credit, and it is stating that this collection was opened on XX/XX/XXXX which is not accurate. This account was a result of itentify theft, has been closed out. I need debt verification of this account. Why has this reappeared again on my credit as a delinquent account?
