I have been patiently waiting on their response to the written requests I sent. However, any modes of response or coordination were not taken on their end. They have not complied with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC Sections 1681i within the time allowed by law and continued reporting as unverified information which now, given all my attempts to address it directly with the creditor, as wilful negligence and non-compliance with federal statutes.

Consumer Complaint: Debt collectors are not supposed to commit abuse, deceptive and unfair debt collection practices but your firm has done so. By coercing me to pay on an extension of credit. This is a violation of 18 USC 894. First thing, You do not have any lawful right to be in possession of my identifying information. Secondly, I didn't give you consent to furnish this alleged debt, that is violation of 15 USC 1692d ( 4 ). Coercing myself to pay you an alleged debt by ruining my financial reputation is a violation of 18 USC 894. Now because you all benefit at my expense, the debt collector, original creditor, and consumer reporting agencies are engaging in racketeering activity 18 USC 892 ( b ) ( 1 ) -Companies have no right to attempt to collect the alleged debt by way of judicial processes. Again debt collections can't lawfully : Possess by identifying information, Contact me about an alleged debt, ruin my credit, or SUE me for nonpayment of a debt. Please understand Debt Collector or your firm have no lawful standing. 15 U.S. Code1692i ( b ) Trying to punish me for a nonpayment of a debt by furnishing it to the CRAs is a violation of 18 usc 894 and carries a criminal penalty of 20 years. The last thing Jefferson Capital System needs to understand this is also aggravated identity theft 18 USC 1028A I'm requesting for this alleged debt entry to be removed and deleted ASAP from all three reporting CRAs.

Consumer Complaint: A fraudulent account with XXXX XXXX was opened without my consent using my social security number. They charged {$1100.00} dollars, and I never received a bill or was notified that an account had been opened in my name until the amount was sent to collections. I began receiving letters from Jefferson Capital Systems ( the debt collector ) about this amount owed, as well as daily phone calls requesting that I pay. I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to dispute the charges as fraud identity theft, and after an investigation, they determined that I was not responsible for the charges on the account, and thus cleared any debt owed under my name in their system. They also said that they would send notice to all three credit bureaus that the debt was not legitimate. I also called Jefferson Capital on XX/XX/XXXX to try and clear the debt on their end, and they said they would open an investigation to the legitimacy of the debt. I gave them information regarding the results of XXXX 's claim dispute which stated that I did not owe the debt. The calls and collection letters did not stop. On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX again to check on the status of my claim dispute, since I was still receiving collection letters and daily calls. They told me that they would send another notice to the credit bureaus and to contact Jefferson Capital. I contacted Jefferson Capital again on XX/XX/XXXX and they again told me that they would dispute the claim. I stopped receiving collection letters and phone calls around XX/XX/XXXX, but when I checked my credit report recently, I saw that I am still under collections for {$1100.00} by Jefferson Capital. I called XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX to make sure that the dispute had been settled, and they sent yet another notice to the credit bureaus and recommended that I dispute the fraudulent debt with the bureaus directly. I also filed a local police report for identity theft on XX/XX/XXXX detailing the situation. Thought I was a victim of identity theft and my name has been cleared of all supposed debt by XXXX, my credit report is still being negatively impacted by the {$1100.00} in collections by the debt collector Jefferson Capital Systems.

Consumer Complaint: I am having a hard time believing that an investigation was done regarding an account that's reporting on my credit report. A company by the name of Jefferson Capital is reporting a collection account to the bureaus. I disputed this months ago because I've never had an account with this company. The original creditor is XXXX XXXX and I have already discussed payment plans. The amount on this account is not the same balance that I have with the original creditor. A remark is on my credit report acknowledging that I disputed this account, but I have yet to receive validation. Please provide the original contract where it includes Jefferson Capital as the company to remit payment to. Also inform me of the amount of which the debt was purchased. If you can not provide this information, please remove this permanently from my credit report.
