Consumer Complaint: I noticed recently that a collection hit my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX XXXX and the amount of {$2300.00} I believe it was. I saw this on my XXXX XXXX reports. There was never any mention that I owe XXXX XXXX any money until Jefferson Capital put it on my credit report. I am curious as to why XXXX XXXX did not do this. Furthermore I am being told that Jefferson Capital owns the collection yet I'm being contacted by XXXX ( an agency that Jefferson Capital admits to utilizing to collect for Jefferson Capital ). XXXX tells me that they own the account as of XX/XX/XXXX. I was told this by XXXX just several days ago. Doing the same phone conversation where I was badgered and bullied for over 30 minutes for a credit card or bank card after repeatedly stating I have no bank card I have no credit card I have no debit card I have to mail things. I asked for the mailing address several times and took over 15 minutes for the representative XXXX from XXXX to give me a mailing address. The mailing address that I was given is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX South Carolina when I looked the address up online it belongs to XXXX XXXX. Directly before making this contact to you I called Jefferson Capital once again I questioned why XXXX would give me an address to mail things to XXXX XXXX and no one seems to know why nor does anyone at Jefferson Capital seem to care. The address that Jefferson Capital has on file for me as an address I left many many years ago long before the supposed account with XXXX XXXX was opened in XXXX. And Jefferson Capital actually has two addresses for me the one I left and another address that does not exist this is the same address that XXXX has. I am aware to open an account with XXXX XXXX a government issued ID must be used. It is my belief that someone obtained my social security number or the last four and that they also obtained an invalid address they believe to belong to me. It is not difficult to gain this information almost anyone online. The address and question does not exist it is a blend of two different addresses I have had. These two addresses were blended together by someone and they false address was made. So I'm having issues understanding how I have an account with XXXX XXXX since XXXX I have never received any communication nor contact from them for a collection I have an issue understanding how Jefferson Capital is the owner of this account yet XXXX claims to have taken it over in XXXX of XXXX when it just hit my credit report in XXXX of XXXX. Also an understanding why it is that I was bullied and badgered and harassed when I asked for an address to mail things to and then finally received an address to mail things to XXXX XXXX. When I asked Jefferson Capital they don't have an answer and don't seem to want an answer. No one is able to tell me where this account was opened what the phone number attached to it is or anything else at all. When I called Jefferson Capital and I was asked to enter the account number or my social security number I entered my social and the recording stated that nothing was found and asked me to please hold. Also and I would have to look at my bank statement to get the correct date but a representative from Jefferson Capital had said he would help me to place this in dispute and that he needed my credit report from all three agencies he asked me to pay a dollar I did this and then I found that other charges were being taken from the card aside from the dollar I have been told about. On my call to Jefferson Capital moments ago I questioned this and the lady I spoke with the supervisor told me that no one from Jefferson Capital had ever taken my information to file a charge. But honestly it is my belief that I stopped her by speaking when I should have been quiet and that I gave her time to realize that she was in the midst of saying that I had told them that I have no card. I believe my interruption gave her time to catch herself and regroup herself and she changed the sentence to go elsewhere. She also told me that she is not tied to XXXX lines thru Jefferson Capital I believe this to be a lie simply because the music that plays when you are on hold with Jefferson Capital is the same music that plays when you call you XXXX. I could be wrong but I don't think I am. I want answers and I want removed from my credit was it understood that it was a fraudulent charge I should have never been. I also want the companies involved to answer for the harassment and such

Consumer Complaint: There is an account that was reported on my XXXX credit report for XXXX XXXX. This account was opened on XX/XX/2016. I have disputed this charge multiple times as we do not owe this false charge, however the charge continues to re-appear on my credit report. This charge has been bought out by several different agencies. XXXX XXXX was not authorized to charge me and all balances were paid in full upon closing our account with XXXX. We have contacted XXXX XXXX several times attempting to settle this matter directly with them but XXXX refuses to make any changes. I will go to all measures necessary to ensure this is made right and the charge is dropped.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted during the Pandemic by Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC which said they purchased a credit card account I had with XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX had already inflated my credit amount ( by giving me incorrect balance amounts while on vacation and this card services allowed me to keep charging over the balance limited amount ) and the result was financially impossibility for me to settle. The XXXX card began to charge over the balance fees, late fees and some other charge fees. the balance was almost {$2000.00} over the limited. Then the Pandemic happened and I could not afford to pay the XXXX card. During the Pandemic Jefferson Capital System, LLC contacted me to create a agreeable settlement. I agreed to settle with a final 1 time payment of {$2100.00}. Purchased a bank check, after they drafted a letter which said the debt would be paid in full upon receipt of the proper check. See attached letter and proof from Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC This collections has messed up my credit with XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I sold my auto which had expensive repairs and often inoperable. Now I can not qualify for a auto loan because of this false collections. Auto loan companies use XXXX and XXXX XXXX... I have either been declined or received very high interest offers. Can You help? XXXX does not show this collection and my score is much higher ( Good status ) but auto loan companies do not use XXXX as I have been told. What a racket hurting the general public and making are life worse. Again can you help this XXXX single women?

I only have knowledge of one account through the cellular company who contracted them, and the cellular company has verified that I have only had one account with them. Jefferson Capitol System has made 3 separate entries on my credit report and they are refusing to delete 2 of them, through a dispute with the credit companies XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) making it impossible for me to contact them to verify that the debts are actually mine, and to pay them if they are.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I sent Jefferson Capital Systems a letter asking them for Validation of a alleged debt that they said I owe them in the amount of {$840.00}. Instead of complying with my request and sending me what I asked for, they sent me invoices that are supposed to be mine. By validation, I am asking for the follwing : Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt. Agreement that bears the signature of the alleged debtor wherein he/she agreed to pay the creditor. Any insurance claims been made by any creditor regarding this account. Any Judgments obtained by any creditor regarding this account. Name and address of alleged creditor. Name on file of alleged debtor. Alleged account number. Address on file for alleged debtor. Amount of alleged debt. Date this alleged debt became payable. Date of original charge off or delinquency. Verification that this debt was assigned or sold to collector. Complete accounting of alleged debt. Commission for debt collector if collection efforts are successful. They continue to attempt to to damage my reputation by reporting this collection account on my credit reports. I also am attaching a cease and Desist to this complaint and I need the company to cease all collection activity and cease communication about the debt which includes the reporting of this inaccurate information to my credit profile. By reporting this information to the credit bureaus they will be in direct violation of the cease and desist letter attached to the complaint and the credit bureaus will be complicit in this violation if they continue to report the account as well.
