Consumer Complaint: I purchased this car loan in XXXX it has had an oil leak recall ever since. I have taken it in a few times to get the oil leak fixed and every time I did, they would say it was fixed but it never was. Had to stop paying on the car because I kept having to put money into fixing it. Fast forward to XXXX the car transmission went out due to the oil leak. No one in that 4 to 5 years ever came to get the car. Nor did they send me any papers requesting information on the car. Now in XXXX in the last month, I started receiving calls about this car. The amount showed up recently for {$20000.00} I am now being asked to pay. The amount is incorrect considering I paid over 2 years {$450.00} a month. I have asked that this be removed from my credit report 1. Because this last month is the 1st I've heard of this account. 2. Because in the State of Texas the loan and collection is passed the statutes of limitations.

Consumer Complaint: I ran my credit and saw varied amounts being reported. XXXX to XXXX and XXXX to XXXX. I was able to dispute through XXXX and XXXX, however XXXX when they investigated removed. XXXX stated that they are now reporting a credit date of 2018 and a balance of XXXX. When I called Jefferson Capital Systems who is reporting the debt they advised after verification of my identity they can't and won't provide me any details about my amount owed, or why its owed unless I pay them to check my credit reports. I refused to pay them money to check my credit and requested balance of reported collections and why. I advised them I have had identity theft from the 2018 questioned year and need to find out where this balance is coming from ... they again refused to tell me information unless I paid them a XXXX and allowed them to run my credit. This is not legal and needs to be stopped immediately.
