Consumer Complaint: I had a fraudulent charge of {$330.00} from a shady XXXX in XXXX. I submitted numerous disputes through Citi 's customer service. They repeatedly agreed to refund my money but I never saw a XXXX. The most I got was a letter in the mail simply saying their investigation was resolved and they sided with the fraudsters. Mind you, this was a XXXX who just got their credit card machine, swiped behind a glass bullet proof counter, illegally sold counterfeit cigarettes, and broke every rule in the book during Covid. And Citi enables them to rip you off!

Consumer Complaint: Citi bank does not honor new account promotion bonus account was opened XXXX and {$1000.00} bonus will be deposited to my account if a ) deposit within 21 days of {$75000.00} and higher b ) keep money 60 days c ) bonus will be deposited within 30 days I called 3 times to customer services, one in XXXX, another one XX/XX/XXXX however each time I was told a different days of the bonus deposit. each time they were able to look up my account using my ssn or account number. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX ( the customer service agent0 kindly caculate the days with me and I was told it will be completed on XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX. Today, XX/XX/XXXX calling the office to ask for status, and I was told there is no promotion code in my account, no record of coversation in last 2 times. At last, I talked to the supervisor, XXXX, and he filed a complaint on my behalf, but still no good answer. He is not able to fix anything. My concern is whether it is a SCAM. Why I was not told the first time or even 2nd time. They would like to keep my money and not payment bonus as advertised. It is false advertising. I followed all the rules, I contacted the office after account opening before I deposit the required amount within 3 days after account open. I should be paid the bonus amount

Consumer Complaint: My complaint is related to completely false information being presented to customers by CitiBank. Most specifically, the predatory and completely false information be presented to customers related to payment options on their credit cards. Citi bank offered a loan option called a flex loan and like other credit card companies had various promotional offers for balance transfers or purchases. I personally utilized a flex loan at 6.99 % APR for 60 months and later utilized a promotional offer for a balance transfer at 0 % interest for 10 months. My intent was to maintain my flex plan for the 60 months and payoff the balance transfer before interest would accrue. Citi Bank offered an option on their online payment center titled Adjusted New balance + Flex Plan Monthly Payment the description for this option was This includes your monthly Flex Plan Payment amount and the non-Flex Plan portion of your last statement balance, it does not include XXXX XXXX payments due in future months. Accompanied with this payment option is a dollar amount that represents all balances not part of the Flex Loan and XXXX monthly payment for the Flex Loan. On XXXX XX/XX/2023, I selected this option and made a payment of {$7900.00}, believing that his would payoff all balances on my credit card not related to the Flex Loan and one monthly payment of the Flex Loan. Citi Bank has instead utilized this payment to pay the majority of my Flex Loan and has left the promotional balance transfer because of their payment hierarchy. I fully understand the payment hierarchy, but this payment option was very clear about where my payment would be utilized with my balance segments. This action is extremely predatory, seems illegal, and is utilized to take advantage of customers so that they will have to pay higher interest on balances at a later time. I would not have paid that balance if the Adjusted New balance + Flex Plan Monthly Payment option did not exist. I fully understand that I would have had to wait for the non-flex plan balance to be the higher interest rate if this option was not available and very clear on how my segmented balances would be paid.

Consumer Complaint: Citibank XXXX XXXX account inactivated my account for inactivity even though the account is funded on a weekly basis. No help calling and there is not a branch near me to go in. A letter must be written to get access to my funds. Im buying a house and need the money very soon. Extremely disappointed. Please be aware they may inactivate your account and you cant get your money out. Be aware especially if you dont live close to a branch.

Consumer Complaint: I made a chargeback billing dispute for a {$2000.00} pre-payment for a pinball machine, specifically dispute XXXX. It was closed and I formally appealed. It was then considered by Citibank that the " investigation complete '', without giving me back my {$2000.00}. I disagree and am complaining about the decision and formally request the {$2000.00} to be returned. For reference, the {$2000.00} was prepaid for a product I never received, and I had concerns about the quality and workmanship of the product and did not want to continue with the purchase. I provided documented evidence of quality defects occurring in the same product of pinball machines being manufactured prior to my pre-order.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022 I noticed that my credit score had dropped, which is unusual because I've had a perfect credit report for more than 7 years. I looked further into this to see that an unauthorized charge went unpaid on my Citibank credit card that I don't use. Because it was a late payment, I had late fees roll over and Citibank reported this to the 3 credit agencies. I called Citibank to dispute the charges, and they agreed to remove the charges and late fees ( see attached credit statement showing my balance return to {$0.00} ). However, Citibank is still reporting to the 3 credit agencies that I have a 60-day late payment, which has negatively affected my credit almost by XXXX points. I have tried to dispute this with Citibank and all 3 credit agencies two times, but this is remaining on my credit report, which has an incredibly negative impact on my financial life. Citibank is claiming the information is correct, even though they already refunded me the unauthorized charges and late fees. Because these unauthorized charges and late fees were refunded by Citibank, this should also be removed from credit reporting and return my credit to its previously excellent standing.

Consumer Complaint: I presently have both an XXXX XXXX credit card and a savings account with CitiBank. I typically track my credit purchases at least weekly via the CitiBank mobile app, this site also includes access to my savings account. Last week when I logged in from the app, I was immediately taken to an activation page where I am provided with two choices ; enter new card ( doesn't specify credit or debit ) and choose " continue '' or " cancel '' which routes you back to the login page. I do not have a new debit card ( I destroyed the original as it was neither needed nor requested ) and have already activated and used my credit card which was received approximately 6 months ago. I have tried their automated phone, spoken with approximately 8 people none of which can help me gain access to my account ( one resolution was to drive 329 miles to my nearest branch office to complain in person ). They can not tell me when the card was sent only that I need that card number or the original one that I destroyed in order to gain access. The reason provided was for security despite being able to provide my full name, address, credit card and savings account numbers and date of birth.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased orthotics from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Store in XXXX XXXX XXXX SC at a cost if {$1700.00}. I realized that was much to costly fir off the rack orthotics. When i got home ( NC ) i looked at my receipt for XXXX Return policy. There was no mention of Returns. I went on their website foe instructions- all I found were complaints about this company being extremely difficult to get money back, if at all. I called Citibank customer service immediately for advice. I was told they would cancel the card ( ending XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, i took allmerchandise back to the store, they checked the bag and boxes to ensure all products were- they were going to return the {$1700.00} to the Citibank. I explained that based on the horrible Return practices noted on their website that the account was closed. They gave me a receipt doe {$1600.00} .... I checked my Citicard and found that Citibank gave me a new account and put the {$1700.00} on that card! i called them immediately to alert them to their error. to make matters worse, they started a dispute under FRAUD ( not true ) I got a letter from Citibank that they found no evidence of fraud and i owed {$1700.00}. immediately called Citibank and they changed to bill discrepency. Ive been to the XXXX store 3 times and they say they haven't heard from Citibank. Citi bank says they have nothing from the XXXX store. I was able to get the name and number of XXXX bookkeeper ; she assured me twice she had sent the reimbursement to XXXX. this has been pending sinceXXXX! Ive talked to probably 10 citibank employees and all they says is they " reached out '' to XXXX. I explained over and over that XXXX sent the reimnbursement before XX/XX/XXXX, So a simple purchase/return/reimbursement has been my nightmare. Two of my XXXX scores dropped from XXXX. Citibank did give me a provisional credit till problem solved. Please help.
