Consumer Complaint: CitiBank , N.A . is creating false and fraudulent XXXX form ( XXXX ) against my saving account which was opened on/around XX/XX/XXXX and closed on/around XX/XX/XXXX. I have opened the saving account with the promise of " competitive '' interest rate, but turned out to be the lowest interest rate, during that period I was given {$4.00} as interest but was surprised that I was sent XXXX form for {$190.00}. I have called the number given on the formXXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX MST and spoke to XXXX and XXXX, XXXX looked up my account and agreed I only received {$4.00} in interest and he submitted a request to correct the 1099 form sent to reflect this amount and I should be getting the corrected form in XXXX business days. I didn't receive the correction as of today and called again on XX/XX/XXXX and this time the reps XXXX from XXXX call center and XXXX and XXXX from XXXX call center requested my account number or ATM number to access my account. I explained that I don't have it since once I closed my account, Citi cancelled my online access and I had to create new ID and pwd to be able to view my credit cards. Citi never sent me ATM Card nor statement in order for me to have the requested info, I gave the last 4 digits of my account and ATM that were sent in emails promo ( XXXX and XXXX respectively ) and also gave the ref above that was sent on the form as my unique identification but still they refused to look my account using my Social security as they did on XX/XX/XXXX. I never recieved any interest from Citi Bank in that amount and Citi has caused me to pay extra taxes due to wrong interest and pushing me to new Tax brackets. I think Citi is trying to avoid paying taxes by issuing these fraudulent forms to their customers and should be investigated. I have the records to prove the original deposit amount, interest paid and final check after closing the account and can be provided upon request.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX every account I have was hacked. Hackers went into my email and went into all accounts associated with that email. The hacker added themselves as authorized users on every one of my accounts using the name XXXX XXXX. The hacker then ordered credit cards with their name on it. The hacker also added a stolen bank account as an account linked to the credit account. They ran up a bill and even used the stolen back account to pay the credit bill down to a XXXX balance ( increasing the credit limit so that they could purchase things again ). The owner of the stolen bank account that was used fraudulently had all of the payments reversed leaving a bill over {$8000.00}. The credit limit on the card was only {$2000.00}. I have spoken with the fraud department numerous times regarding this issues and they dont seem to care or even understand the situation. Ive worked very hard on building my credit and my score dropped over XXXX points to this. I have a great credit and payment history on all accounts. I dont know what to do or where to turn to get help. Im desperate here

Notified Citi many times. I think many other bank depositors are suffering the same problem as I was just finally told there is a backlog. This seems to be an intentional deceptive national practice that allows Citi to earn interest on customer money illegally. I suggest that an investigation be opened immediately.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 - I applied for a Cit Advantage Platinum Select Card after receiving an advertisement while checking out of an American Airline purchase. The advertisement specifically mentioned that I could use the card to " Pay Today '' and received a " {$200.00} '' statement credit and receive XXXX bonus miles. After following the advertisement, it was clear the bonus miles were dependent on a {$2000.00} in purchases during the first few months- which this ticket should qualify towards and I submitted the application and received approval. However, despite contacting Citi several times using there web-chat, phone, and escalating to a manger ; Citi representatives indicated there was no way to get temporary card numbers needed to " Pay Today '' and that I would have to wait for the physical card to be received 7-10 days later.

Consumer Complaint: Good Afternoon. I am a real estate appraiser that has completed appraisals for Citi before. About 10+ years ago, during the foreclosure days, I was engaged by Citi to complete an appraisal for a refinance. The subject was 1/2 mile from my office. If anyone knows the comparables and area it would be me as this is the area I work and live in. They sent me a letter telling me that I completed an appraisal and they had a review done. I don't know who reviewed my work or if they were even competent in this area. This rural area of Michigan only has a couple resident appraisers, me being one of them. They told me that I should have used different comparable sales based upon a review they had. They didn't provide the sales they thought I should have used. They told me I had one chance to explain myself and didn't provide enough information for me to respond. I needed more information to formulate a proper response. I wrote them back and asked them to please provide me with more information and if they could tell me what comparables their reviewer thought were better, I would be happy to explain why I didn't use them. Instead of giving me information so that I could properly respond, they wrote me back saying that was my one chance to respond and now I am blacklisted from future work with them. I considered filing a complaint however at that time I was so busy with work I didn't have the time to handle it. The blacklist does effect my future work opportunities as it is published for other lenders to see. I work very hard to do the best appraisals & I have been appraising for 23 years. I do not feel I should have been blacklisted as the appraisal was very good and I stand by it. Citi shouldn't damage an appraisers name without allowing the appraiser to properly stand up for themselves. I've worked for numerous banks, credit unions, attorneys for 23 years and have never been removed from any lists besides CITI. I have never been in any kind of trouble with my state licensing board or any trouble period. I ask that someone from CITI Bank please take care of this and remove my name from any of their blacklists that damage my reputation. There are other banks that use the Citi Blacklist as a guide for which appraisers not to use. Thank you for your time and please let me know if there is anything I can do to clear my name. I'm happy to do what it takes! Thank you! If you need the documents sent to me by Citi I can look those up and provide them.
