Consumer Complaint: Hi, I just wan na let you know that someone use my Social Security number and apply for Macys Citibank American Express credit card on XX/XX/2023, when I got this email from Macys immediately, I call XXXX and I have put the fraud and dispute this application and also I have phrased all my credits, and also I called Macys, American Express, credit card, phone number regarding that application, and I let them know that it was not me, and they removed this application and put the fraud on this application, then I call to XXXX after I put the fraud and freeze my credits they said you have to report this application to this website, please let me know if I have to do anything else from my side. thank you so much.

Consumer Complaint: My credit card ( Master charge ) was charge on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$6100.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, by a company called WF WAYFAR I found this charge and immediate I contact the Bank ( CITIBANK ). and fill out a dispute to this charges., I was told by them that they will deal with the merchant, I have not use this card since XX/XX/2022. I was very surprised that i did not receive any alert to this charge considering the high amount of charges. I also call the merchant and they told me they will do an investigation.

Consumer Complaint: I have received a response from Sears/Citibank in response to a complaint I made against this company. This response was also copied to you. Case # XXXX. Because this is Citibank, they were allowed to Police themselves and to send to me a condescending response in which they did Not address my complaint. My complaint had Nothing to do with discrimination of which they seemed to want to concentrate on. My complaint was in regard to the Promotional Interest free ( within 18 months ) purchase I made. When I called to set up the Promotional Payments, they agreed to the terms I asked for in order for me to pay this balance off by the expiration date. I knew I had to continue to make payments on my regular account balance, but they NEVER informed me they were going to add that purchase into my regular account. Since I made that purchase, they have deceptively raised the required payment on the existing balance I had, and have charged me a higher interest rate on that balance, as they stack an additional interest balance on the side, in an attempt to cause me to not be able to pay this promotion off, by the expiration date. I do not understand why these companies are allowed to treat consumers in this manner. I am asking that you inestigate this matter yourselves, or is their no protection for consumers after all. I do not have Citibank money, but I do have a Brain, and I do pay my debts. I think what they are being allowed to do is absolutely foul. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have a Citi Double Cash credit card. It was incorrectly flagged for fraudulent activity on XX/XX/2023. I called Citibank Fraud Prevention Services as instructed online at XXXX. However, they were unable to resolve the issue in a timely manner because of an incredibly frustrating identity verification procedure. They asked for several phone numbers that belonged to me and told me they " did not meet the criteria for verification '' without elaborating what that meant. Then, they asked me if I had any other Citi accounts, which I do not. The only remaining option, apparently, was for them to send me a letter through the mail with further instructions, which they said might take 7 to 10 business days. I am unable to use my card during this time. I can not even cancel my card.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I overpaid Costcos Citi Visa card by {$20000.00}. I have desperately worked to get this money back from Citi Bank in order that I can pay XXXX XXXX instead. I have been delayed, lied to, delayed again and put off. Meanwhile, XXXX XXXX is charging interest on this amount which I actually owe to them. Citi claims they cut a check to me finally on XX/XX/2023. I should have had it by yesterday at the latest and of course I do not. They sent through snail mail. I asked them yesterday to send it electronically which takes 2 days. They said they can do that but it will take another 7 to 10 Business Days to do that which we all know is a bunch of BUNK!!!! They are using my money and dont want to send it back to me. I can see on XX/XX/XXXX where they backed the money out of my account but I still dont have it. Meanwhile XXXX XXXX is charging interest on. This money that Citi refuses to return to me Will you please light a fire under Citi Bank and force them to return my money AND PAY THE INTEREST Im being charged at XXXX XXXX? I appreciate all help you can give me.

Consumer Complaint: This may not be the proper way to address this, and I apologize if it is not. I was looking for work around the time I was graduating with my XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. In XXXX, the pandemic happened. All my finances were fine, but my job search was incredibly difficult and lengthy. I kept up with all my bills for as long as I could but by the time XXXX hit, I couldn't keep up anymore. The best I could do for work at the time was to adjunct for my university. I only made $ XXXX {$1500.00} a month doing this. I worked with all my creditors throughout the pandemic however eventually, I just couldn't keep up. Fortunately, I landed a wonderful job in XX/XX/XXXX and since then have been able to meet all my obligations with ease. The purpose of this is that, to this day, my report still shows all these late payments. I tried negotiating with the credit card companies to have these removed, but they were unwilling to remove these and said the fair credit reporting act prevented them from doing so. This was XXXX XXXX that said this. I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done other than just keep making my payments on time. Prior to the pandemic, for years my credit was spot on. Since at least XXXX. I worked hard to rebuild myself after the XXXX crash in which I lost my job and my home. Which is why I was going back to school to get my degree in mathematics and eventually a XXXX in math. I had to reinvent myself. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I opened a checking account with Citibank using a Member XXXX XXXX Checking Offer ( see attached confirmation email with terms and conditions ). XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX I fulfilled the requirements of the offer for XXXX XXXX XXXX See attached statements. XX/XX/XXXX I called Citi to confirm that I've met the terms of the offer and haven't received the miles. I was told that the miles would be deposited in my account by XX/XX/XXXX. See attached call log from XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I called Citi again and was told an investigation would be opened and given reference number XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter stating that Promotion Code XXXX ( a code that I have never seen before ) was not offered in conjunction with my account, and a request to " provide a copy of the Promotion Disclosure ''. See attached letter. XX/XX/XXXX I tried repeatedly via Citi Live Chat, XXXX, and several phone numbers to provide such Promotion Disclosure. No one was able to help and I was constantly transferred to different departments.

Consumer Complaint: I placed an order online with Best Buy on XX/XX/2022 for in-store delivery at their store location - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX with my citi-bank credit card. As stated in their pick-up policy, the customer is required to show an official ID and order info to be given their item. Best Buy authorized my item to be picked up by someone else - I was NOT the one who picked up the item. I was not aware of this until I checked my email and saw a notification from Best Buy that my item was picked up, but when I checked my order status online, it said it was returned and that I was refunded. I thought I missed the pickup deadline, and since I did not pick up my item, my order was reflected as refunded. When the charge was not refunded I filed a dispute with my credit card company, Citi-Bank , and an investigation was opened. It was discovered that the item was picked up and returned at a different location on the same day XX/XX/2022. They returned my original order and exchanged it for an item of similar price, a XXXX XXXX XXXX at the Best Buy location on XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX. The transaction was logged at the price of XXXX, the price difference between the two items. I did not receive any notification of this transaction from Best Buy at the time it was placed. This order transaction did not appear on my best buy account until after I filed my dispute with Citi-Bank and they discovered the exchange. When I told Citi-Bank that I was not the one to make the exchange, they refunded me the original amount of XXXX and issued me a new card. They stated that an exchange should not have been able to be made with my card information if I was not present. I thought the issue was resolved, but the charge showed up again on my new card. When I called Citi-Bank , they said that it was misclassified as fraud when it should be considered a dispute. I keep getting a different representative each time who does not fully understand my case and is giving me different answers. I have contacted the merchant who tells me to contact Citi-Bank , and Citi-Bank tells me to contact the merchant. Neither has given me a clear answer or resolution. In conclusion, another person picked up my order and made an exchange with my information. I do NOT have a XXXX XXXX XXXX OR the TV I originally purchased. My order of a XXXX XXXX XXXX was stolen by another person and they were allowed to exchange it for a XXXX XXXX XXXX without a proper identity verification process. I should be refunded my original purchase of {$1400.00} as I am not responsible for the lack of security protocols in place that allowed another person to pick up my order and make an exchange with it.
