Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a Home Depot credit card to purchase windows for my property. I was approved, I received a receipt for the transaction and on XX/XX/XXXX a HD representative arrived at my property to take measurements of the windows. Home Depot advised that I would receive the windows within 6-8 weeks. Within XXXX week, I received a credit card statement to pay for the window purchase and the first payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX. I called the bank issuer to advise that I had not received the product I purchased, therefore I did not understand why a payment would be due, but they advised that this is their policy and that I needed to dispute the issue with Home Depot. On XX/XX/XXXX, after numerous calls to Home Depot ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), I received an email advising that the measurements for my windows had been received and that my windows would be ready within 6-8 weeks. Meanwhile, I have been making monthly payments for a product I am still not in receipt of. The company has been uncooperative, unresponsive and illegally demanding payment for a product that they are refusing to deliver. Unfortunately, I'm forced to continue making payments so that my credit rating will not negatively be affected and I'm being forced to pay for a product I'm not going to receive. The Home Depot is not willing to reimburse me for their inability to abide by their contractual agreement which is to provide the product that I paid for with 6-8 weeks after the measurement of the windows. This problem is a financial burden for me and Home Depot is not cooperating nor are they responsive. Home Depot is illegally stealing money from me and I need for this to stop and get rectified.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I had unrecognized transaction on my card for {$200.00} done in XXXX. On XX/XX/2023, when I discovered that, I submitted a dispute claim and notified my credit card company ( Costco Citi credit card with Citibank ) of the issue that this is not authorized transaction and asked them to reverse and refund me the money. Then, I haven't received any communications from my credit card company after this, so I kept calling them many times to resolve it, but the credit card personnel were very unprofessional and incompetent. After few months, I received a letter from credit card company stated that they closed my dispute, so I called them again wondering why they closed it and they said that it was a mistake, and we will reopen it. Then, after few months, I was told that this dispute is transferred to the fraud dispute department that when I called, they told me that they don't have any claims for me. Every time I call the credit card company asking them for updates, letters and/or full names of people I talk to, they refuse to help me. Till now, I don't have any information about my claim, nor the money was refunded to my account.My case number is XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Dear XXXX XXXX XXXX, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent events concerning my credit card account with your company. Despite previous assurances that a {$190.00} interest charge would be removed from my account since I paid the balance to zero, I am dismayed to find that the charge still remains. I remind you that charging interest on a {$0.00} balance is illegal and unacceptable. Furthermore, I am deeply concerned about unauthorized charges that have appeared on my account. Despite freezing my card and canceling subscriptions with XXXX XXXX, you company " authorized '' a {$50.00} charge that I did not authorize have to go through. In addition, your card company also " authorized '' a {$15.00} charge from XXXX XXXX that I did not authorize. It is evident that your company is allowing charges without proper authorization, while my card is frozen, which is both unethical and potentially illegal. I want to emphasize that you have never had my permission to authorize XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX or any other charges on my behalf. My card is frozen and I am considering closing my account as a reseult of your illegal predatory practices. These unauthorized charges not only violate my trust but also cause significant harm, compounded by your high interest rates and fees. Please be informed that I am currently in the process of acquiring legal representation to pursue a lawsuit against your company for these unauthorized charges, as well as the failure to remove the interest charge as promised. I am prepared to take all necessary legal action to rectify these issues and ensure that my rights as a consumer are protected. I demand immediate action to rectify the situation, including the removal of ALL charges currently on my card, including the {$190.00} interest charge, the reversal of all unauthorized charges, and an explanation for the negligence in allowing unauthorized transactions to occur. Additionally, I expect compensation for the inconvenience and financial harm caused by these actions. The balance on my card should be {$0.00}. I have not used my card since paying it off last week AND I froze the card so it could not be used, and yet you still are charging me fees, etc. I urge you to take this matter seriously and address it promptly to avoid further escalation. Failure to do so will result in legal action being taken against your company. I expect a response within 24 hours confirming the resolution of these issues. Through several engagements with Citi 's XXXX XXXX XXXX, I've been denied coverage under both the Military Lending Act ( XXXX ) and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act ( SCRA ). XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : Applied for Citi 's XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX card. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : Received and activated the card. Emailed Citi 's XXXX XXXX XXXX requesting my annual fee be waived under the XXXX. Provided information from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX verifying my status as an XXXX XXXX military member. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : Received response from Citi denying request to waive annual fee under XXXX. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : Called Citi 's XXXX XXXX XXXX, who stated I was not eligible to be covered under XXXX and could not have annual fees waived. I asked to cancel the card. The technician transferred me to an account management member, who reviewed my case and told me that wasn't accurate. He transferred me to another XXXX XXXX XXXX member who informed me that my social security number was incorrect on the account. He corrected it and submitted XXXX requests to have my annual fee waived since I'm an XXXX XXXX military member : XXXX under XXXX, and one under the SCRA. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : Received response from Citi denying second XXXX request. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : Received letter from Citi denying SCRA. On all denial responses, Citi has stated that because the card was opened after I came on XXXX XXXX, I was not covered under either the XXXX or the SCRA.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, In XXXX of XXXX Citibank closed my " Costco Anywhere '' visa card without my permission. I called repeatedly to ask them to reopen the card and they refused. This was very frustrating because they would tell me things like " we can't tell you why we closed your account, you need to wait up to two weeks for a formal letter '' Finally they sent me a letter stating that the account was closed because of an issue with my payments -- which I had already called on the phone to resolve. I called back and asked them to reopen the account, and they told me they could not, and the stated reason was my credit report. This is confusing to me as I had been in good standing with this credit card and always paid it on time. I had even made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$500.00} and they provided me confirmation that my credit available would increase by {$500.00} at that time. A few days later the account was closed. So I have the following issues : 1. Citibank unilaterally closed a card I was in good standing with because of an issue with my payments. This has never happened before, and the representatives all told me I could have the account reopened but the account was never reopened. 2. I did not request the card to be closed 3. There is some damage to me as I have been using this " rewards '' card to get credit at Costco. I am now no longer eligible for a 2 % costco rebate due to Citi 's actions. 4. Citi has refused to reopen the account. 5. Citi sent me the attached letter which is not correct. As I have stated to the citi representative : 1. If my account has been closed, citi should not be charging me a 30 % interest rate ( a credit card rate ). As Citi should be aware, a credit card is a revolving product allowing me to use up to a pre set credit limit and pay it down as I see fit provided I make some minimum monthly payment ( as I have a always done ). At best, what we now have is a loan -- there is a set amount of principal due and the interest rate should conform to loan interest rates which I believe is capped at 9 % in NY State ( so they are committing usury ). XXXX. I have offered to let them reinstate my credit card with no hard feelings but they have refused to do so. XXXX. As such I dispute the debt and ask them to cease and desist all communications. XXXX. The credit card can not be " past due '' because they themselves have closed the account. XXXX. This has all been told to Citi representatives yet they insist on calling me and sending unsolicited emails. I would therefore demand that either a ) citi reinstates my Costco card with full privileges and no late period ( as they have caused the same ) or b ) ceases and desists all contact with me until such time as they reinstate the credit card, as they did not have my permission to close the account. Additionally, as they closed the account on their own they should no longer report this as an account to the credit bureaus, and I plan on using this complaint as evidence of such. Again, they have unilaterally modified the contract and are thus in default. If they don't want me as a customer then they can forgive the debt. Otherwise they should reopen the account and give me all normal privileges associated with this account. Thank you, XXXX

To date, I have never received the {$2000.00} bonus, and I have also been charged monthly service fees because I must maintain the account open until the bonus is paid. I have contacted my CitiBank representative, XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX several times about this. Although he has been very helpful and offered to file a formal inquiry, my balance has never been credited for the bonus. Rather than file a complaint ( see XXXX XXXX ), I wanted to reach out to you first. As you know, the deliberate failure of CitiBank to follow the terms of their bonus offer would constitute, inter alia, fraudulent conversion and violate XXXX XXXX. This provides for treble damages up to {$1000.00}. If you were aware of this delay by CitiBank to retain bonuses, you would be subject to Judiciary Law 487 which provides for treble damages. At this time I am only asking for {$3000.00} which is the {$2000.00} bonus, and the {$1000.00} additional deposit. The account balance is now less than {$1000.00} due to monthly service fees, since I was required to keep the account open until the bonus was credited. In addition, I request {$150.00} which I would have earned by buying $ XXXX of short term T-Bills through my treasurydirect.gov account for the past 12 months. I go to look about this debt and have found it was sold to them from Citi Bank, further investigation found the account opened in XXXX, not by me, but by my mother XXXX XXXX. Found she was listed on my credit report as secondary name, since put in a report to have her name removed from the credit report. My name is also spelled wrong, which i also put in a dispute for. I am not the owner of this debt, i am not the account owner nor do i have access to the account. I do not have a citi bank card nor have i ever. Please let me know the action i need to take to prove this. Consumer Complaint: Subject : Cease Unauthorized Credit Reporting Immediately - Reference to Florida FCRA Identity Theft Fraud Laws Dear CITI Bank, I am writing to address a serious matter regarding the unauthorized reporting of information to my credit report, which constitutes a violation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically Sections 1681b ( a ) ( 2 ), 1681c ( a ) ( 2 ), and 1681s-2 ( a ), as well as Florida state laws pertaining to identity theft and fraud. It has come to my attention that CITI Bank has engaged in unauthorized reporting to my credit report without obtaining my explicit consent. The FCRA explicitly mandates that consumer consent is required for such reporting activities under Section 1681b ( a ) ( 2 ). Furthermore, Florida state laws, particularly those regarding identity theft and fraud, underscore the severity of unauthorized access and misuse of personal information, such as Florida Statutes Section 817.568. I assert that I have not provided consent for CITI Bank to report any information to my credit report. This lack of explicit permission constitutes a violation of my rights, potentially damaging my creditworthiness and disregarding federal and state laws.
