Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam : I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/, I purchased a roundtrip XXXX XXXX XXXX plane tickets for {$1400.00} from XXXX XXXX to XXXX, XXXX and back via search engine called XXXX at XXXX : XXXX. I received the attached email confirmation from XXXX on the same day showing the {$1400.00} that I paid. However, later I saw a credit card charge in the amount of {$1400.00} on XX/XX/. I submitted a dispute online to my citibank costco visa credit card on the same date for the amount of {$40.00}, which is the difference between the amount I actually paid and was charged for. With the dispute, I submitted copy of the confirmation email I received on XX/XX/2023 from XXXX showing the {$1400.00}. However, on XX/XX/2023, I received a letter from the Citibank asking me to sign a letter confirming the disputed amount and mailing it to them. Citibank did not offer any faxing or emailing options. See the attached letter for details. I called Citibank on XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX explaining that I submitted digital copies of the confirmation letter and that I do not understand why I need to sign another letter and send it via mail. A customer service representative understood my issue and tried to be helpful by submitting additional information such as that I called confirming the amount and flagging the copy of the confirmation email with charged amount during the initial submission of the dispute. However, on XX/XX/2023, I received the attached letter from the Citibank stating that they were not able to resolve my issue and the charges will stay valid. I do not understand why Citibank continues to spend so much time to resolve a {$40.00} dispute which is costing it way more than that in labor hours and supply. It is also wasting my time. I am a great customer who brings a lot of business to the Citibank. I kindly request to refund {$40.00} in difference because I did not authorize the charge.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem making or receiving payments
Consumer Complaint: XXXX I contacted citi bank because I could not log into my checking account through the app for several days prior. So once I spoke with a customer service rep they told me that my account is blocked due to a security fraud risk. Prior to me calling I was not notified via email or phone call. So I proceeded to ask whats the steps to regain access to my accounts and citi bank tells me I have to wait 5-7 business days for a letter in the mail to gain access to my account. I told them that is ridiculous because this letter can be lost in the mail and why isnt this letter expedited they tell me this is the only way. I explain to them this is my primary bank account and I have transaction that are linked to this account as well as money flowing in and they basically telling me I have to still wait 5-7 business days. Since then I had to cancel my car payment which is now late which was {$410.00} and I also have money on there I have to use so that my car is not booted and towed. So now my car can potentially be towed XX/XX/XXXX because I could not access funds to pay my bill let alone have money for food and other necessities. I called back XX/XX/XXXX to see if this process can be expedited they customer service rep was very XXXX as I was explaining I could lose more money if my account is not accessible immediately she basically tells me she haves to hang up. I am very disappointed in citi bank as a whole and now I am going to suffer because I can not access my funds. I feel that this letter should have been expedited especially if its the only way I can gain access to my account. Its already costing me money and extreme stress i can not access my account and was not notified about it until I called. I feel they should be responsible for the damages
