Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint against XXXX ( Citibank XXXX XXXX XXXX in relation to a debt in the amount of {$810.00} that was charged off in XXXX but continues to be reported on my credit report as charged off. This ongoing incorrect reporting is a clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and is negatively impacting my financial situation. Despite the debt being charged off by XXXX in XXXX, they continue to report it on a monthly basis as charged off. This continuous reporting not only misrepresents the current status of the debt but also violates the FRCA rules regarding accurate reporting of credit information. The incorrect reporting of this charged-off debt has had a detrimental effect on my financial well-being, making it difficult for me to obtain credit and negatively impacting my credit score. Additionally, I want to bring to your attention that I have not received a Form 1099 for this charged-off debt as required by the Internal Revenue Service XXXX IRS ) regulations. CBNA 's failure to provide this necessary documentation further adds to their noncompliance with relevant laws and regulations. In light of these violations, I kindly request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau thoroughly investigate this matter and take appropriate action against CBNA. Specifically, I seek the following remedies : 1. Immediate removal of the charged-off debt from my credit report, as it is inaccurately and unfairly reported. 2. Correction of any negative impact caused by the ongoing incorrect reporting, including the adjustment of interest rates and credit scores. 3. Compensation for any financial losses or damages I have incurred as a result of this inaccurate reporting. 4. Enforcement of penalties on CBNA for their violation of the FCRA rules and failure to provide a Form 1099 for the charged-off debt. I trust that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will handle this complaint promptly and ensure that justice is served. Attached to this letter are supporting documents, including copies of my credit report showing the ongoing incorrect reporting of the charged-off debt, as well as any relevant correspondence with XXXX Should you require any further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a swift resolution. Sincerely,

Consumer Complaint: Four of us travelling together went to XXXX, XXXX for a cruise. Landed at approximately XXXX on the XX/XX/XXXX, expected to have a cab sent by the hotel, but it did not show. Called the hotel, but there was some delay. A staff member of the airport found me a cab at approximately XXXX and it took me to our hotel, stopping along the way to run my Citibank credit card. The person running the credit card said it did not work, so I gave him another one, XXXX XXXX. That too was 'negative ' so my friend presented his XXXX XXXX card, which also was a no go. I then paid cash, for which I got a receipt, and we proceeded to the hotel. Once in the hotel we went on Wi-Fi and immediately started getting text messages from our respective banks asking about {$5000.00} plus charges on all 3 cards. We responded that we did not authorize the charges. All 3 cards were immediately and appropriately cancelled. Of the three cards, only Citibank went on to first post and then authorize payment on the card. We left the next morning for our 18 day cruise. Fraud department said since the 'chip ' was taken by the card reader then it was our responsibility to pay. We protested, and it ended up being moved to a billing dispute. The fraud department refused to look at it again. Billing dispute asked the vendor to respond and they came back saying I had either rented a car or car and driver, and it was accepted by the billing department as gospel, and once again it became my responsibility to pay. Now I can prove that I arrived at XXXX, at the hotel by XXXX, and left in a prearranged hire car to the port the next day. There is no way I would have rented/hired a car for the 24 hour period, and certainly not for $ XXXX. I contacted the executive department at Citibank, and have sent them all of the information, and they are supposedly looking into it. However, in the meantime the dispute center once again denied my claim, based in the response by the vendor, so I am not holding out much hope there. I contacted a lawyer who suggested I start here with you. Re the attachments : Here are some other attachments that I sent Citibank - # 1 gives the flight times, indicating our arrival time. # 2 was correspondence with the hotel setting up a ride from airport to hotel, unfortunately it did not occur and we ended up taking a cab from the airport. # 3 is transportation from the hotel to the port that we did take. This proves that we were in XXXX for less then 24 hours, and would not have taken a $ XXXX car hire/car service. # 4 proves we took a cruise out of the country. # 5 is a statement from the person travelling with us, who also used his credit card which was also charged $ XXXX - however, his card service was smart enough to not only deny but not turn around and pay the swindler. The last item is the receipt we got from the cab service, for airport to hotel.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, my Citibank credit card was charged {$240.00} by XXXX, a grocery delivery service. Even though I was on vacation in XXXX XXXX, Florida, the XXXX delivery was sent to a town in Georgia. I immediately called XXXX, said that I had not placed the order, and that it was a fraudulent order. The XXXX representative told me that they would return my money as soon as possible. I also decided I needed to get a new Citibank credit card, in case someone had stolen my identity. After not getting a refund from XXXX, I disputed the charge with Citibank, but after crediting my account, Citibank investigated the incident and decided that I was responsible for the charges (! ) Its been XXXX months now, and theres been no reimbursement resolution. XXXX said it wasnt their problem, and Citibank said it wasnt their problem. I have called Citibank at least four times, and they have never give me a clear answer as to why the charge was not credited back to my account. They always said they would send it on to their fraud department and investigate it further, but no one has ever gotten back to me from Citibank. Its been XXXX months since the incident happened!

Consumer Complaint: Citi AAdvantage charge me with XXXX XXXX ticket amounting to {$770.00} each for 4 persons last XXXX XXXX. This is a new credit card for me which I used for the first time to purchase airline tickets but when I used it, the card got declined, so, what I did was to use another credit card which was my American Express card and with that I was able to purchase the airline tickets that I want. Citi sent me an email that my card was declined they couldn't process the charge because I've met my temporary spend limit. Then, after a month Citi sent me a bill amounting to {$2700.00} which is equivalent to the 4 tickets that was declined in the first place. I called them and they instructed me to file a dispute which I did filed back in XX/XX/2023, every month they would send me a bill but by XXXX they deducted the amount of 2 tickets only. So I followed up with them again as to why only 2 tickets was credited and not all 4, they said they will follow up with XXXX XXXX. The last time I called to follow up was this month because aside from the bill each month their account section is also calling me everyday, I told them to coordinate with dispute department about this because it's affecting my credit score but until now I haven't heard of their response, it's frustrating because it's been 6 mos already and this haven't been settled yet.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I charged {$27000.00} to my Citibank card at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA.. I also charged the same amount on American Express. This was for custom cosmetic products ( sent every 3 months ) and monthly facial and full body treatments for 3 years. I received my first paackage of procts in XXXX and was scheduled for my first treatment appt on XX/XX/XXXX. When I arrived, all of the store personel had changed, no one knew that I was coming and they had no idea what sort of program I was supposed to have. They insisted on doing a facial while they attempted to sort out the issue. I re-iterated the fact that I have very sensitive skin and many XXXX XXXX ( had previouly given them a full list of the XXXX ). They were not ble to get in touch with anyone. I had XXXX XXXX XXXX, which have not yet resolved 15 months later. I visited my XXXX as soon as possible and was given XXXX XXXX and told not to use ANY products until my skin cleared up. Obviously I was extremely upset and filed disputes with both credit card companies. over the course of about 2 weeks the new management begged my to reconsider, promised they would give me all the proper services I paid for and in addition give me an at home piece of equipment and install it ( supposedly valued at {$25000.00} + ) and that we would start fresh with the 3year program as of that date. Effectively a NEW AGREEMENT. I contacted both credit card companies and withdrew the complaint after asking and being assured that if the company did not uphold its end of the agreement I could refile. It became apparent that the company could not provide the treatments and the second round of products due in XXXX never arrived. After being unable to reach the mgt. or get any answers from the store staff I called to refile the dispute at the end of XXXX. American Express did so and ultimately refunded my money.CITIBANK refused to refile or start a new complaint. I called several times asking for managers until I was told I could submitt evidence for their review, which I did on XX/XX/XXXX. I had to call multiple times as I did not receive any feedback within the time frame they said, Finally on XX/XX/XXXX they notified me that they would not accept a dispute. I immediately called and emailed to escalate the complaint and each time I received the same stock answer as to why they refused the dispute. They claimed I had received the products I paid for. Obviously the one quarterly shipment arrived but none of the others AND the 3 year time period was supposed to have restarted in XXXX after the first set of products arrived and I could not use thaat shipment because of the allergic reaction. I requested that they change it to a fraud complaint instead of a disputed charge. Multiple times I requested that they just make the attempt and I would be fine with not having even a temporary credit until the other party had time to respond or not. I had come to believe that XXXX XXXX was running their charges through some cover firm and would not respond to the complaint. I took this to what they told me was end of the appeals process- an executive complaint- which came with another denial to even make attempt to help me recover a very large some of money. I have been a Citibank card holder for over 30 years, my credit limit grew to over {$33000.00} and I have an XXXX credit rating. Everyone I have spoken to The licensing dept of the PA Attorney General and the XXXX fraud help line agrees that this is a legitimate viable case of fraud. I am also filing a complaint with the FTC to attempt some action against XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, but have been advised that short of a law suit the only way to recoup my money is through Citibank who should have processed the complaint.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, I wanted to reach out and provide detail with respect to a credit card dispute in the above-referenced case in the amount of {$1700.00} from XX/XX/XXXX. THESE SERVICES WERE NOT RECEIVED AND I HAVE FILED WITH THE CFPB AND DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME AS I CAN NOT SEEM TO PROVIDE THESE FACTS TO AN ACTUAL PERSON AND THE DISPUTE WAS SETTLED WITH ME HAVING TO PAY. For this transaction, the details are that on XX/XX/XXXX I submitted an order with online vendor " XXXX ''. The initial reservation detail indicated travel from XXXX to XXXX and then back to XXXX XXXX XXXX for a work trip. A screenshot of this is attached ( see " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' ). When I reviewed the actual travel portal the discount booking service had booked the trip from XXXX back to XXXX Arizona- which was incorrect. I immediately tried to call them. They have no phone number - only an e-mail address. I contacted this e-mail address and they only provided me with the screenshot of the incorrect booking. Note that I made the booking for an airline and contacted them within a few minutes ( about an hour ) from the original purchase. According to UXXXX Department of Transportation rules, this airline ( or the travel agent ) I think should have been able to immediately refund the flight or change to the correct flight. The screenshot of the incorrect booking from their system just reiterates the point that there was an error with the ticket. Contacting the vendor 's chat team was incredibly difficult. There were many spelling typos and they did not understand my request ( see " XXXX Customer Service '' ). I have also tried to communicate with this vendor over e-mail. Their online spelling and communication is very difficult- there are many typos ( and no phone number ) ( see " XXXX E-mail XXXX '' and " XXXX e-mail 2 '' ). In these communications, they frustratingly just sent me the picture of their incorrect system and did not offer any solutions. This is a lesson learned. In looking at XXXX, many customers have had this issue. There are over XXXX reviews and over XXXX of them are one star due to similar issues. Because of this issue, I immediately booked the correct travel directly with another airline ( with the accurate booking ). I have also filed a detailed dispute with the US Department of Transportation who appears to have a file on this merchant for similar issues ( see " Department of Transportation Referral '' ). I wanted to provide this detail to you for the above-noted case so that you may have the information necessary to hopefully proceed. I hope this can be resolved favorably. I have not received any merchandise or services from this vendor and, in fact, they appear to have just cancelled my reservation in their system ( see " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' ). Many thanks for your time and assistance- have a great week. Best, XXXX
