Consumer Complaint: I have been having this credit card for 5 years and have yet to receive a credit limit increase on my card in which when i signed up for this card i was told i would be able to request a increase. I have had m y credit run multiple times and still have NOT been able to get a credit increase. I have a good paying record with this company as well. One of my cards was a secured card and i have yet to even get a increase and i was also told on that card if i made 6 on time payments i would receive the increase automatically but each time they run my credit with a hard inquiry and leave that mark on my credit without me receiving a increase and actually being denied as if im not a valued customer.

Consumer Complaint: Received an email from Capital One stating that they I have an offer to upgrade my current credit card, no fee, no new account, no hard credit pull. On the morning of XX/XX/XXXX I responded to the link and logged in my current Capital One account, clicked the accept for the upgrade, next thing I received a credit alert, they actually pulled a hard copy of my credit report, I called XXXX ( service number ) agent apologized but said it was a new application. I stated exactly what the offer was, not a new account, keep the same everything except different card name and cashback percentage. She said her supervisor said they could only delete the application, I again stated I did not want a new card/account, that this was very deceptive and they are probably doing this to numerous individuals. I asked them to retract and issue an error message to the three credit bureaus, they said they would not be able to. I stated that I was going to file a complaint, and that is what I am doing now.
