Consumer Complaint: Capital one placed its own fraud hold on an attempted purchase of mine online. The first phone call I placed to the Capital One fraud line, I gave all of the information required, verifying purchases, address, phone numbers, etc. I was then asked to give my login ID and password For my Capital One app to the representative. I said no. That in itself sounds fraudulent to me. He said I could go ahead and use the card, when I tried again, it was still declined. I called back. The next representative asked me to send a picture of my Rhode Island state ID to her, I said absolutely not, hung up and called back and got a third representative who told me that Capital One now requires this to unlock a card. I did not call them and report fraud. My card was used 50 times within the last XXXX weeks, its XXXX! if I am not reporting fraud and they are questioning it for some reason? Verifying purchase amounts, places and address and phone numbers should be enough to unlock a card. I have XXXX more and will just be using those from now on, not the point.

Consumer Complaint: I had chose capital one recently because I am a average person trying to rebuild my credit after receiving multiple offers on how their secured credit could help me rebuild my credit. And it did over the past few months few months have gone by and capital one offered for me to apply for a non secured credit card I was excited my credit score had gone up yet again I was making purchases and making my payments in full right away. Then the worse happened they would take payment in full for my credit card balances due and sometimes it would take days if not over a week for my credit card balance to take affect and my credit card available spending limit to update even tho theyd take my payment from my checking account instantly then Id call them and complain about how waiting a week for them to post my payment isnt fair. They didnt like that because they closed both my accounts with no notice and ruined my credit scores! I want my accounts restored and my credit score fixed this unfair and deceptively wrong to target a average man trying to rebuild his credit score and give false hopes.

Consumer Complaint: I asked Capital One weeks ago before i filed this complain, to refund me 4 charges related to fraudulent transactions made by two different merchants in XXXX, XXXX where i am at the moment staying due to Business, Merchants are Jumbo Supermarkets and XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX as they charged my debit card, later told me card was not read and i had to pay cash at their stores, later finding out the charges were made, i even provided CapitalOne with the requested receipts and additional documentation that proves that even the receipts show Payment made in cash yet CapitalOne comes in a phone call i made to them yesterday XXXX XXXX, 2023, ( because i did not heard from them even on an email or anything since i placed this charge disputes ), with a bunch of excuses and lies of information that was not provided to me by them, saying they wont issue a refund because I Paid in cash, also the Representative who took my call, tells me in a very unprofessional attitude and tone to better take my Money to XXXX XXXX or other XXXX if they refunded me in the past for fraudulent charges, as answer because i told him before how irresponsible CapitalOne is with clients that keep their business moving, ended the call refusing to refund me this unfair and fraudulent charges, as its my right as customer not having to pay double for products and services.

When I try to do this, there system does not allow transfers out to any of their partners. This functionality is core to the benefits of this card, and no where in the terms of the contract does it state that this should be limited in any way. Capital One is not fulfilling its end of the contract I entered in to with them.
