I told them this was fraudulent and not me, and I asked them to correct it but they again told me to contact the credit unions.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Capital One, I, the consumer and natural person, was unfairly discriminated against when my credit card account was closed by Capital one. I consistently use the card in good faith and have repeatedly made on time payments. Adverse actions against a consumer are AGAINST THE LAW according to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act which is codified in the 15 U.S.C. 1691c and is pursuant to civil liability under 15 U.S.C. 1691k. You are subject to criminal liability for violating 15 U.S.C. 1691 as I have proof that I was discriminated against by Capital one due to the account closure. Capital One is in violation of 15 U.S. Code 1642, U.S.C. 1681m and 12 cfr 1002 because I, the consumer, made an application in good faith, but my account was closed. Furthermore, because my social security number ( credit card ) was used and i received NO benefit. this is proof of fraudulent activity ( unauthorized use of credit card ) on behalf of Capital One. If Capital One fails to make any reasonable procedures to resolve this matter and compensate me for the use of my credit card, I will indeed make Capital One criminally and civilly liable for all actual damages pursuant to 15 USC 1681n and USC 1681o. According to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ) the credit bureaus have to modify or delete accounts that are not reporting accurately According to 15 USC 1681b ( 1 ) the credit bureaus don't have no written premission According to 15 USC 1681 I have the right to privacy According to 15 USC 1681s-2 A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Maryland XXXX RE : Affidavit of Truth This Rescission notice is made Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1635 ( a ), as I was never told I had 3 days to rescind the agreement. Neither was I given the notice that comes along with all consumer credit transactions. On XX/XX/2021 I was refused a refund and cancellation of contract with XXXX XXXX or Capitol One XXXX after the vehicle was towed to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Maryland XXXX 2 days after purchase. They replace the battery and gave me a car fax and stated I can not return the car.Furthermore, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX failed to clearly & conspicuously disclose all of my rights as a consumer including but not limited to my right of rescission. I, XXXX XXXX, participated in a consumer credit transaction and not a loan : Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1602 ( i ) ; Take further notice that Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1605, the finance charge in connection with any consumer credit transaction shall be determined as the sum of all charges, which was never disclosed to me by your organization in direct violation of this law. You XXXX XXXX XXXX also accepted a cash down payment of {$4000.00} violating 15 U.S. Code 1605 which clearly states : The finance charge does not include charges of a type payable in a comparable cash transaction. Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1611 ( 1 ) ( 3 ) : one can be fined up to {$5000.00} or face imprisonment for up to one year, or both, for giving false or inaccurate information or fails to provide information which he is required to disclose. Consumer Complaint: I received an email stating that an XXXX XXXX was on its way in the mail. I did not apply for this credit card. I called XXXX right away and had this card shut down. The fraud department at XXXX has been alerted and they filed a report. Then I looked at the rest of my credit report on XXXX XXXX and noticed 2 hard inquiries that were not made by me that also brought my score down by at least 50 points. The first inquiry took place on XX/XX/XXXX and the second one ( for a capital one card for which I did not apply ) happened on XX/XX/XXXX. I have also been notified by my XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX cards that someone in California tried to use my information to purchase product at The XXXX XXXX and online at XXXX, purchases I did not authorize. Those purchases were fortunately caught and blocked by the credit card companies but I had to close my XXXX XXXX account and freeze my XXXX card.

Consumer Complaint: I booked a flight on XX/XX/XXXX with Capital one travel. I am a new Capital one XXXX card holder. While booking a flight all it told me was i can cancel the ticket for full credits. However it didnt tell me that there is XXXX hours window for it. When i cancelled it few days later they gave me credits worth only XXXX $ instead of 2000 $ which i paid. During booking the flight on capital one travel site, it was only mentioned ill get full credit while i was booking the flight. XXXX was not mentioned prior to booking. This feels like mis-leading the customer and taking advantage of them not reading a fine print hidden somewhere.
