Please be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. Consumer Complaint: On the date of XX/XX/XXXX, I recieved a statement from capital one stating that I owed interest, I paid off all my cards before the due dates, and I was told multiple time by their customer service staff that I would not be charged any interest. Paid off my cards on the XXXX or XXXX, and the payments were due the XXXX, they charged me XXXX $ for nothing. I have bank statements that proves they received their payments on the XXXX. I have contacted them, gave them a chance to resolve this issue, through talking to one of their supervisors on XX/XX/XXXX, and they refused to do anything about it, their excuse was because they closed my account theirs nothing they can do, but they were the ones who closed the accounts. They are charging me for purchases for litterally nothing, I did try to contact the company in writing and they do not have anyone at the company who accepts billing issues in their company that accepts writing, phone only.

Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX with my Capital One Venture X credit card. When I came back from XXXX I reviewed all my transactions and saw there was one transaction on XX/XX/2023 that I did not authorize for {$190.00}. I reached out to capital one fraud department and they did an investigation and did not find it to me fraud and refuse to credit my account. They informed me to reach out to the merchant however I did not make this transaction so I do not have any information on the merchant nor do I know what service or merchandise I was charged for. I have no information regarding this charge and can not dispute it myself even if I wanted to. I have informed capital one that I do not have any information or contact with the merchant because I did not make this transaction and nothing was done to resolve the issue and the case was deemed closed.

Consumer Complaint: I am submitting this complaint on the advice of my local Congressman 's office ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) where I requested that he take action to initiate a House Committee on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX inequity and discrimination in the policies, procedures and customer service training at Capital One Bank XXXX I am not requesting action on my personal account which I finally succeeded in closing in XXXX. Here is the cover email that I sent to Congressman XXXX 's staff : XXXX XXXX XXXX you so much for taking the time to talk with me at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX week. This is just to confirm that my concern with Capital One Bank is a systemic concern about their inequitable customer services policies and procedures, that clearly discriminate against any customer who is not white, rich, aggressive and articulate in XXXX ( unlike me ). As my lengthy interactions showed, their staff are clearly programmed to deny all Capital One responsibility for errors and to tell customers to contact a credit bureau directly. They steadfastly refused my requests to put in writing that they had corrected their error and that they had closed my account. Ironically, the only information that they put in writing was that they had lowered my credit limit. The two letters to CEO Fairbanks that I left with you contain the detailed interactions that led me to this conclusion. Lower credit limits and the resultant higher interest rates and damaged credit rating had no effect on me personally, but are a form of " red-lining '' for most of Capital One 's less advantaged clients- and most of your constituents. I am asking that Congressman XXXX raise this systemic behavior with the House XXXX on XXXX XXXX and initiate an investigation into Capital One Bank 's customer service policies, procedures and training. I will follow up on your advice to also contact XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: There are multiple accounts & inquiries opened and being reported on my credit report that do not belong to me. I have took the necessary steps to contact these companies & the credit bureaus to advise that whats being reported is fraud & not accurate. I have made several attempts in disputing all inaccurate information being reported on my credit but there has been no resolve. I filed a police report regarding this matter in XXXX of 2022, I requested alerts be put in place on my credit as an extra layer of protection yet that didnt work either. This has affected my credit & score tremendously & i am now choosing to escalate this matter in hopes of it getting resolved right away.
