Consumer Complaint: I received a voicemail on behalf of Kohls sometime on or around XX/XX/XXXX to which I responded to by returning their call. I was informed they had yet to receive my payment. After looking further into the matter ( remind you I have never been late ) it was discovered that my address had not been updated and that automatic payment was not on ( which I thought I had my account set up for ). The payment was made at this time over the Internet as the agent stayed on the phone and the agent confirmed. My very next question to the agent was late reporting. The agent responded to me and I quote " You will not be reported late '' " Kohls reports late after 60 day period ''. My late fee was even refunded at this time. I promptly made sure my account was set up for automatic payments. I received notification from the credit bureau that I had a negative item being reported on my account on XX/XX/XXXX and it was Kohls. I then emailed Kohls 's customer care explaining the situation. Kohls responded with their " I don't care attitude '' that they were reporting correctly and there was nothing that could be done. Come on Kohls? Really Kohls??. I have worked in the credit bureau and that is far from the truth as we both know you can remove this reporting. I have been such a long-term customer of Kohls and XXXX am shocked at their response back. I responded to the email that I would be issuing a complaint through your office cfpb which brings me back to a complaint being filed. I thank you as always for your assistance in such matters. On a personal note, one would think that a department store would value its customer/s in a time of such disarray and uncertainty with the economy

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I received a denied auto loan application with an inquiry to my credit report that I did not requested nor apply from XXXX XXXX XXXX, is like the third time and third agency or company that I received this denied notification and I did not make any auto loan recently with this company nor Capital One nor XXXX XXXX XXXX I need that these inquiries be deleted and remove from my credit report I did NOT apply for an auto loan, because I moved to other state and I am working and lived near my work. FOR NOW I am not applyimg to any auto loan someone without my authorization and without my concern is doing this inquiry to harm my credit and when I decide to apply in the future can not apply because of those denied applications and credit inquiry.

Consumer Complaint: I opened account with Capitalone 360 Savings XXXX, XXXX {$4700.00}. I tried to to use it all the features such transfer, send money, etc from my account but it blocked. I made some phone called to consumer protection CapitalOne and their answered I can get my money from the origin previously bank. But obviously i get bill statements for 2 months afterwards and i can check my account online too. Than i got busy looking and moving house. XX/XX/XXXX after I settled in new house I checked my online account the balance {$0.00} and mentioned withdrawal that i never done it. So I called again customer support or service why their is withdrawal not by me? She mentioned that the CapitalOne closed my account and send check to my new home address. XX/XX/XXXX till to date I received only Bill statement mention that my balance for XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX are {$4700.00} to {$0.00} and I have not receive the check, I made some calls again to customer support or customer care to resend check, no response yet.

I am also only required to pay if there is a deficiency and there is no paperwork outlining what the deficiency is or is not. I am also entitled to any monies if there is a surplus.

I sent them a letter regarding the inaccuracies in my report such as date of last activity, date opened, date reported, payment status, etc. They took more than 30 days to complete the investigation and they claimed that they did a thorough investigation. However, when I checked my report, I did not see any changes made at all. The inaccurate information are still reporting. My rights have been violated numerous times. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States that I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 604 A Section 2. It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instruction.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed by a Capital One credit card fraud department representative my personal credit card ( ending in XXXX ) was closed yesterday on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked the representative why the card was closed, and the representative said because it had been used for personal use. I informed the representative I am a victim of previous identity theft, and that the card is not a business card, therefore, it can be used for personal uses. On XX/XX/XXXX my CapitalOne Spark business card ( the representative would not provide the last 4 digits of this card on the phone today ) was closed by the company due to the same fraudulent reasons, and the card had not been used at all. I informed the company I had resolved all existing issues regarding fraudulent activity on my accounts dating back to XXXX and ( XXXX ) that involved my maiden name XXXX XXXX and/or my social security number. Since then, I have been approved for business and personal credit cards for them to only be closed by someone or something ( CapOne 's system ) at the company.without good, fair, or ethical cause.

Consumer Complaint: According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' XXXX and XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. I have the right to make sure my private information isn't shared which is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states " It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' Capital One is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' Capital One the financial institution and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX and XXXX and XXXX do not have my consent to furnish this information and they surely do not have my written consent. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, Capital One whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. Capital One Never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states " Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' This account is an adverse item they are reporting again without my permission which is against the law. 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A states " A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. 15 U.S. Code 1681e states '' Every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX and XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR 1016.7 states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am opting out of your reporting services.

Consumer Complaint: I have been depositing the same checks from the same reputable company for almost a year, every time I deposit this check, its put on hold and Im not able to access my funds because the bank states its suspicious. This is extremely discriminatory and offensive. I am not able access the money for around a week after I deposit the check. The funds have always cleared and Im still being treated as a suspicious person depositing questionable checks for almost a year with no valid reasoning.
