Consumer Complaint: I disputed Fraudulent charges on my Capitolone card on XX/XX/XXXX that occurred on XX/XX/XXXX. Capitolone reversed one, the {$1800.00} plus charge but after their investigation said I was liable for the second which was a cash advance for {$400.00} .Three days ago I received a suspicious and threatening email saying person had my password, personell info., ect..and infected my computer with Malware and demanding another " {$400.00} '' in XXXX I have filed a police report and fraud alert with XXXX. I am asking Capitolone to reopen the investigation in light that my identity has been hacked and the possibility that safeguards at the ATM where the {$400.00} cash advance was taken might have been compromised and no protection for me from fraud. A Certified letter was sent Capitolone requesting this. Lastly, I am asking that the XXXX due date be forestalled in that I had a XXXX balance before the fraudulent {$400.00} was added to my balance.

Consumer Complaint: So i recently checked my credit report for experian and noticed I have 9 inquiries but i dont recognize at least 4 of them. Starting with mortgage reporters from XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I then have gotten false credit card inquiries from XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and Capital One ( XXXX ). I have called both banks trying to resolve these issues before but they dont care to help.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One alerted me by text and email on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX of new checking account and permission to use my cell number. Separately, I emailed Capital One 's abuse reporting address to report fraud and received no response. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received a debit card by mail. I called Capital One to report fraud and was told the account would be closed and an investigation started. On that and several follow-up phone calls I was told that a " victim letter '' would be sent to me to document the incident. Weeks later I received an account statement showing the account was closed XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. I would like to have the promised " victim letter '' and information on how this fraud was perpetrated. Thanks.
