Consumer Complaint: I reached out to Capital One In XX/XX/2023 to discuss hardship options. I advised them of my inability to pay. Capital One offered s Hardship APR reduction plan, under the false pretense they they were helping get the card current. I have been making the payments as agreed under the Hardship since XXXX until present. {$69.00} each month as been paid as agreed. This reduction would have kept the account current for 9 months XXXX payments. I noticed Capital Has started reporting this account past due and late for the past 90 days. This isn't what the representative told me when i set up the Hardship Payment Plan. Even Thought I am making the payments as agree they are still reporting me " LATE '' and PAST DUE. My credit has been crushed.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One sends printed credit card promotional offers through the mail. Capital One says on the materials that Capital One supports information privacy protection and directs consumer to see Web site at www.capitalone.com. I went to the website. The information provided does not address how to opt out of printed mail offers. The information seems to only address electronic marketing channels. I found the website was not easy to use. I would like the CFPB to check out the website and judge if opting out of US mail card offers is reasonably easy for the consumer if at all possible. I believe that Capital One should take steps to make it easier for the consumer to find the Capital One procedure to opt out of printed and mailed credit card offers. Thank you very much. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I opened two savings accounts with Capital One on XX/XX/2023. I made my first deposits ( {$100.00} ) to both accounts. Both were immediately frozen the following day. After a few weeks, my funds were still listed as currently not available for withdrawal. I assumed it was normal for a new user, but after a month of having this message, I began calling Capital One to inquire about the status of my savings accounts. The number provided on their account message ( XXXX ) directs you to Capital Ones Customer Service line. After clarifying my accounts information, it directed me to a customer representative which is actually a voice message that instructs you to leave you name, number, and issue as a voicemail and wait for a call back. Another week went by and I had not received a call back, nor access to my savings. It is now XX/XX/2023 and my savings accounts are still not updated. I have called Capital One several times, using different lines listed on their site to get someone to clarify what is happening. I have not received a consistent response. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that it could take up to 60 days from the account being frozen to receive a check after theyve investigated my account. I do not know what could be investigated being that I only made one deposit. It has also now been more than 60 days ( it has been 90+ days ). I need answers to these circumstances as I have been in the dark since XXXX. I have not had access to the money I deposited nor do I feel comfortable continuing my savings relationship with the bank.

Consumer Complaint: To whom I may concern, This decision that the Capitol One has reported to the bureaus on XX/XX/2022 the day I also applied for the credit card has scared me indefinitely. I havent applied for another credit card since this inquiry. I called the social security office and the confirmed I am not deceased. As Capitol One has stated in my denied approval letter on XX/XX/2022. I also called all XXXX reporting agencys they asked me to call to remove the deceased information. When I called they all said that they dont see that I need to call Capitol One. Capitol One stated the couldnt remove it. They then insisted for me to call all XXXX numbers again on denied letter that was sent in the mail.After calling all of the agencys as well as social security office. This should have been solved this is my life were talking about. Im hoping this can be handled and I can be approved for a credit card in the future with Capital One or anywhere else.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited my refund check from the XXXX company. I had paid to transport XXXX vehicles to XXXX York XXXX york. About 30 minutes after depositing the check my account was restricted. I called the bank to Inquire why my account restricted. They told me it was because I had never deposited a check for XXXX well. The makes sense because I have barely opened the account less than a month ago. I told lady that I had the number for the transportation company she decided to go and look online for the number to which she found nothing I offered to give. It a number. She wanted nothing To Do with it. My check was put on hold for 6 days and it's now the 6 day and my money 's there in my account and still no access to it. I have lot of wealthy person I am able To make it because I'm XXXX And XXXX. My not being able to access my money is really putting a strain on me. I would just like to receive my money in a check or be able to transfer it out to another Account of mine and then close account. I want nothing To Do Capital One and the shady business Practices that they implement an impose on their customers.
