Consumer Complaint: Capital one closed all my account and they used a bogus excuse saying that I had a disruptive call with a customer service agent that is unexceptable people have bad experience sometimes calling customer service no reason to close all my accounts checking savings and credit cards account then a few months down the road I applied for a secured credit card was approved sent my funding amount to fund my account then they close that account like this is stopping me from building my credit and making a better life for myself I need something done about this I want my secured credit card account reopened double Jeopardy you already closed accounts for one situation so someone must be monitoring my account personally to know I'm applying for credit card with the company I also will be speaking to my lawyer about this if I'm restricted from your platform then I should be able to apply I want justice severed company can't be taking advantage of customers like this most of the customer service agent are imagrants they don't understand you have to keep repeating your information several times this can be aggravating and if I got a little frustrated with them it's still not a good reason to be closing my accounts this needs to be fixed

I also have one on my account that opened XX/XX/2023 from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The only credit card that I have is from my credit union. I had one from XXXX but I closed it out. I really need help getting these off of my account because this is messing with me badly in life. I am to that point in my life where I want a car of my own and to get a house but I can't because of these cards of my account having my score low. I was going to pay them out to see if that would help but everyone I talk to told me not to because I didn't make those purchases.

Consumer Complaint: I had a conversation with XXXX from Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX who began a fraud investigation, after I reported that two credit cards from Capital One were taken out in my name without my knowledge or consent, at my family 's address - from whom I am currently estranged and where I have not lived since XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, my mother was called who was informed, via voicemail, that the investigation was resolved. When I called them to check on this, a Capital One recovery department representative told me it was resolved, but it was " resolved '' as invalid fraud, meaning that they claim there is no fraud issue and that I took out the cards. This was predatory, in that if I hadn't called to check, I would have assumed the claim was " resolved '' in a positive manner, because the voicemail did not make clear there continued to be an alleged fraud issue. Further, when I asked them why my mother was called and why I was not -- even though they are claiming the cards were taken out by me -- they refused to answer or provide information from their investigation. This makes it seem to me that my mother is also on the card, or her information is, and I was placed there as an authorized user. The company would not give me information that they used in their investigation over the phone -- even though I verified my identity over the phone earlier in the conversation -- and are making me appeal the issue without an understanding as to the charges. This is predatory. I have the last four digits of the two credit cards from my credit report, but I do not have the full credit card information -- which they will not give -- as I did not take out the cards.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute immediately after discovering a fraudulent transaction of double charges ripped off from my credit card by the XXXX company. I never authorized that transaction, however my card information that was saved in my portal of the XXXX company, was misused and fraudulently charged by the merchant. Capital One Bank-my creditor, was notified immediately after discoevring that fraud and financial abuse. Capital One Bank executives including the CEO and President, were informed of that fraud that was covered up by the creditor 's dispute department. My creditor acted in favor of the fraudster merchant company and neglected all facts supporting my dispute for full chargeback and refund. The Capital One Bank bureaucrats-teh CEO and President repeatedly refused to address my concerns and avoided me. SInce XXXX up to date, the Capital One Bank blatantly denied my disputes cosnpired with the XXXX company fraudsters. I demand from the Capital One Bank immediate resolution of my dispute and full refund based upon credible evidence and burden of proof provided by me in support of my legitimate dispute. See attached copies of my emails sent to my creditor bank executives.

Consumer Complaint: SUMMARY : This is an identity theft issue. A Capital One savings account was opened in my name without my knowledge or consent. Capital One closed the account, but the process was difficult and the bank has not been very cooperative on followup. XX/XX/XXXXXXXX : I receive two emails from Capital One indicating that an online savings account had just been opened in my name ( see attachments 1 and 2 ). I found the Fraud reporting number for Capital One online, called them and confirmed that the emails came from them. After I was transferred twice, Capital One agreed to close the account. When I requested followup, I was informed I would have to email a police report to XXXX. XX/XX/XXXXXXXX : I file a Police Report with the XXXX XXXX Police Department, incident XXXX. Report available on request. Unknown XXXX XXXX ) : I call Capital One to ask whether there was another way I could submit the police report. After being transferred at least twice, I am told that emailing the report to XXXX. I am also told that they will not share information with me, they will send it to the police once they have my report. XX/XX/XXXX : I file an online request for the copy of my XXXX Police Report, reference number XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : I pick up the Police Report from XXXX Headquarters. XX/XX/XXXX : I send a PDF of the Police Report to XXXXXXXX XXXXXX/XX/XXXX : I receive email confirmation from Capital One that my email received ( see attachment 4 ). XX/XX/XXXX : I file an identity theft report with the FTC, report number XXXX. ( Report available on request ). The FTC website recovery plan recommends that I request a letter from the bank, stating : the fraudulent account is not mine ; I am not liable for the account ; and it was removed from my credit report. ( I understand that banks can report some non-credit transactions to the credit reporting bureaus. ) ( See attachment 3 ). XX/XX/XXXX : I call XXXX, the phone number on the report receipt confirmation email from Capital One. I am transferred at least once. The agent informs me that she can not find my police report, and that I will have to fill out another form and fax it to Capital One in order to receive the letter that the FTC recommends. She also stated that the letter will not include the statement that any mention of the account has been removed from my credit report. Capital One has been really squirrely about resolving my fraud complaint, and I hope CFPB will take a closer look at their fraud resolution process.

But Two weeks or, my checking account was restricted due to my unusual activities. At the same time, i received one letter from capital one, and it said they wan na end relationship with me. I tried to ask capital one why my account was restricted and why they wan na end relationship. They said I have mutiple unusual activities. I didn't know why they did it, and they didn't tell me more. I tried to call them mutiple times, and i wan na get my money back. They said once my claim was closed, they would send me close-out check. Why? I couldn't wait. That's my family 's money, and i need it today or right now. Why can't i get it back. That's ridiculous, and what capital one did made me disappointed and angry. No matter what, i wan na get them back. That's why i am here to complain the capital one. Not just that, one supervisor of protection resolution team talked to me, i tried to need help from him, but he hung up without listening to my help suddenly.
