Consumer Complaint: Long-story short : Capital One Travelcenter does not advertise when fares are non-refundable and when they are- I booked a fare that never disclosed that it was non-refundable, for XXXX Capital One miles ( worth approximately {$920.00} ), had to cancel that flight, and Capital One Travel refused to return the miles, and refused to provide me with an opportunity to discuss outside the Travel Center. On XX/XX/2023 I booked Capital One Travel reference number XXXX, a flight from XXXX to XXXX, for XXXX XXXX See attached documentation. Due to a medical situation, we had to cancel the flight on XX/XX/XXXX, which had to be done through the airline, XXXX XXXX XXXX. After canceling the flight I noticed the miles did not return, and called Capital One Travel Center. After our conversation, I looked online, and found countless reports of Capital One Travel Center not advertising when fares were non-refundable, and keeping the miles. I have used other travel centers from their competitors ( XXXX, XXXX ), and they always advertise when a fare is refundable and when it is not. This is a systemic issue. On both XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote to Capital One 's executive team about this issue ( see attached ). I did not hear back during either instance. I'm not seeking anything extra from Capital One, just the miles that were unfairly taken from my account.
