Consumer Complaint: Description of concern : Opened a new credit card account with capital one XX/XX/XXXX. Over time, I established good credit history and received random credit limit increases and added my children as authorized users to benefit. I spoke with XXXX who stated my account was closed and that he could not provide me any more information on my Capital one checking account or Capital one credit account. Consumer Complaint: this is a complaint I filed on XX/XX/XXXX again capital one credit company claiming that the company supplied with avoidance, which the did not supply them with an IP address and a bunch of stories, the fact of the matter is I called capital one and they suppose to open the case again and they did not I send them all the correspond for the matter include a complained and a letter and have all transition with XXXX XXXX and the mistake and error they did include a lie that they gave me, A copy of the original complaint is attached OUR COMPLAINT XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NY XXXX XX/XX/2023 Capital One Customer Service [ Address ] [ City, XXXX, Zip Code ] To Whom It May Concern : I am writing to dispute a charge of {$7000.00} that was made on my Capital One credit card on [ date ]. The charge was made to a company called " XXXX XXXX ''. I was contacted by a XXXX XXXX representative who told me they could help me get a loan of {$50000.00} to {$150000.00} with 0 % interest. They said they had connections and could help me invest my money and double it within XXXX year. They told me that the cost of their services was {$7000.00}, but that I could pay it in XXXX lump sum or in installments. I agreed to pay the {$7000.00} and gave them my credit card information. They charged my card and then sent me instructions on how to download the XXXX app. They said that they would use the app to communicate with me and help me with my investments. A few days later, XXXX XXXX opened an LLC for me and sent me an IRS EIN. However, they never gave me access to my files or any of the connections that they had promised me. I tried to contact them several times, but they never responded. After a month, I realized that I had been scammed. I filed a complaint with the authorities, but I have not been able to get my money back. I am now disputing the charge with Capital One. I believe that this charge was fraudulent and that I should not be held responsible for it. I have attached a copy of my credit card statement showing the charge, as well as a copy of the complaint that I filed with the authorities. I would appreciate it if you would investigate this matter and reverse the charge. I was originally told that the cost of their services was {$8000.00}, but that I could pay it in installments. However, they charged my card for {$4000.00} and told me I could pay the remaining {$4000.00} in XXXX lump sum. When I complained, they said that they would take {$7000.00} instead of {$8000.00}. I believe that this is a bait-and-switch tactic and that I should not be held responsible for the charge. I believe that XXXX XXXX is a scam. They have no physical address or phone number, and they have refused to provide me with any documentation of their services. I have also found several complaints about XXXX XXXX online, from other people who have been scammed hank you for your time and attention to this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have previously filed a complaint on XX/XX/2023 reference complaint ID XXXX. I am disappointed that Capital One used an excuse to avoid fixing the issue. They claimed it was submitted by person who is not an authorized party. They claimed they called multiple times, but in reality they only called once and left a voicemail. They were quick to decide an excuse avoid my concerns. I have attached the letter that I received from them.

Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Charged too much interest
Consumer Complaint: I am being charged {$3.00} interest on a {$2.00} shortfall for a monthly statement payment of {$960.00}, the statement paid in full amount. I mistakenly paid {$960.00}, leaving a balance on the statement of XXXX dollars. I am told by Capital One that any payment not covering the full amount due invokes a minimum daily balance regulation, and this means that I am paying {$3.00} interest on a minimum daily balance of {$480.00} for the next XXXX months, even if I continue to pay future amounts in full ( which I typically do ). This resembles usury, as I am paying interest on an amount much larger that I actually owe ( {$3.00} for XXXX months on {$2.00} balance ). I find it amazing that credit card companies are able to institute this method of charging interest for money that has been submitted on time. Is this not just another unfair method of charging for services? Please examine this regulation ( also used by other credit card services, in the fine print ), and recommend that it not be allowed. This is costing consumers millions of dollars each month, who most probably do not understand how it is applied.
