Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I took a balance transfer loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX mastercard for {$130000.00}. I mistakenlyhad XXXX mail the loan to my Capital One ( CO ) credit card instead of 3 intended recipients including CO. I checked with CO daily`for arrival of the check and was told, if received, it would post within 24 hours. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that the check was received by CO on XX/XX/XXXX but was not posted till XXXX. On XXXX, I explained to CO that check was intended for 3 recipients and to please ACH or mail the excess funds to me. I talked to numerous reps including supervisor XXXX and I was told I had to wait 15 business days and then the check would be mailed in about 10 business days. They could not expedite it. I gave them recorded verbal authorization on XXXX for the check to be mailed. On XXXX, I called CO talked to supervisor XXXX to see if waiting time could be reduced as my other 2 intended recipients needed to be paid. She said the wait is in process and could not expedite. On XX/XX/XXXX I talked to supervisor XXXX from CO to find out my prior authorization from XXXX to mail check could not be found and I had to reauthorize which I did. I asked him to email me their wait policy or find it on their website. He said this was internal policy and could not share it. I told him as I had told others of CO all they had to do was contact XXXX to verify I and the funds were legitimate. I also told them XXXX and XXXX where I have credit card accounts would mail me refund checks promptly without wait as this was not universal policy. I am still waiting for my check while I am currently paying over 8.5 % in one account and close to 16 % in another account that I would not have incurred if I had received timely refund.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 my capital one credit card was used to make a purchase in the amount of {$1100.00} at a XXXX XXXX that purchase was not made nor authorized by me, I called and informed my credit card company ( Capital One ) they sent me a letter 5 days later stating that after researching your case we found insufficient evidence of fraud - When I reached back out to them after letter to see how hey came to this decision they told me it couldn't be fraud because I still had my card, and chips can't be fraud, I was upset anger and hurt that I was on the hook for something I didn't do. My nephew was just the victim of fraud as we discussed I explained to him that I too had been a victim a few months ago and that I had been forced to pay it back and the reason he then told me that's not true he then went on XXXX and showed me the blank credit cards with the chips on them that you can buy for very cheap, he then XXXX can cards with chips still be duplicated and they can very easy, however capital one wants to force me to eat the lost instead of them and this is not right I have never been in a XXXX XXXXXXXX in the state of Florida.

Consumer Complaint: I have an account with Capitol One since XX/XX/XXXX. I have paid all of my balances in full plus interest each month and was never late. I had an XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXXXXXX and was out on XXXX. Even when I was on XXXX, I took the money that was significantly less and paid my capitol one credit card bill. I called in and explained to them that I would need an extension around XXXX because I was still waiting on my XXXX check to come in. The representative told me that they would be give me an extension for 90 days then I would have to resume the original payments. Upon the capitol one representative giving me this extension, I did not see where Capital one gave me an extension. Instead my account was closed in XXXX and the interest rate increased even more. Now as I returned to work and rebuilding my health I am stressing out to see how Capital one is handling my account. I pay them on time all the time and because I had a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, my credit is now being tarnished by this Credit Card. I am a hard worker and I will attach my payment history to show that I was consistent with Capital One up until my health declined and that was the only time I had an issue. I just want a fair shot at paying back what I owe and not be subjected to predatory overwhelming interest rates. This is stressful and I asked Capitol for this consideration at this hard time in my life. For them to agree then close the account just does not seem fair to me.
