Under 15 USC 1681 section 604A section 2 it also states that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. Under 15 USC 1666b a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open and consumer plan as late for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: I have a small business account with Capital One Bank. I opened it online and previously had access to online bill pay. I do not need it that often, but it is important. I tried to find it again yesterday. but do not have it on my account. I called Capital One this XXXX ( XX/XX/23 ) to inquire as the info online for small business accounts states I should have access. I called the main contact number. I spoke with someone ( who sounded like she was in the US ) who could not even pull up my account info. She said since I opened the account online, I needed to call a different number which she transferred me to ( non-US call center ). My issue on this is not that it's not a US-based call center, but that there are 2 classes of account holders. I was told by the other rep that my account does not have online bill pay as a feature. I can change by going into a branch, but it would create a new account number which is a hassle. The closest branch is XXXX min away.

The person had all my information even the last 4 of my ssn # and she was talking with my husband about it. She stated that she was calling from Orchard Bank that now is a Capitol one household bank. She give him an amount of {$2000.00} and to pay of somewhere in {$1800.00}. That they mail me a letter on XXXX, XXXX of this year and that I need to pay it off. I do not have any credit cards with this bank, nor I do not own any debts. Dont know where they got my information from. They number the person called was XXXX. When I file a complaint Capital one had already sold my account and did not want to remove the charge.I submitted multiple disputes to both XXXX and XXXX still this fraudulent charge was not removed.
