Consumer Complaint: The account is fairly new and hasnt been added to my credit report- though the hard inquiry is. I am in the process of buying a home and my lender needs proof of the account and that it is XXXX XXXX I asked capital one to provide a statement showing my account is XXXX XXXX They refused saying I had to make a purchase and a payment before they could generate a statement. I tried explaining that 1. I do not have time for that and 2. I shouldnt have to do that to get a statement of my account. They basically hung up on me saying there was nothing they could do.

I can use my phone number to receive codes any other way and it works flawlessly, as soon as I use it to " convert rewards '' to an airline partner it gives me various different errors depending on the troubleshooting method I used. Was on the phone for close to 2 hours to end up being told its a known bug and they are doing nothing to fix it, the technical service agent also complained that no one is doing anything to fix the known isssue.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am a former XXXX customer who opened a high-rate savings account many years ago. CapitalOne purchased my account and several years later lowered the interest rate without telling me. I only found out this year when beginning to do my taxes. They call my account a " XXXX XXXX Account '' - deceptively close to their " XXXX XXXX XXXX Account '' which receives a much higher interest rate. I attempted to both call and chat with support to determine when this happened and what could be done about it, but I only get trapped in loops and dead-ends, unable to reach a human being to discuss.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Unable to open an account
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I opened a checking account online because someone who holds an account at the same financial institute, Capital One owed me money. She asked me to open an account with Capital One so the money can be transferred/credited without any issues. On XX/XX/XXXX, that person deposited the money into my account via wire transfer and said that they were charged {$30.00} for the wire and the whole amount of {$21000.00} plus {$30.00} was debited from their account right away. Those funds were showing as the current balance but not as available balance in my account. In fact, those funds were never made available in my account. When I checked my account on XX/XX/XXXX, those funds were in available balance, but the message said " Your funds are currently not available for withdrawal. Please call us at XXXX ''. When I tried to contact the bank at that number, they said they don't have a record of that transaction. And few days later, the funds were gone, and the balance showed as XXXX and they closed the account. So, we asked the person to send us the checks for that same amount so we can deposit it into my other account, and when they did, I deposited into another financial institute and those checks cleared without any issue. Few months later, when I went to open an account at XXXX and XXXX XXXX, I was unable to open it due to being reported to early warning. That was a shocking news for me because I never did fraud of any kind. The money was deposited into my account, and it wasn't me who attempted any fraud. I have screenshots and pictures of the transactions. I failed to understand the reason for reporting me to early warning as I have not done any fraud. I was received a wire transfer from the same Capital One bank account holder and I didn't write any fraudulent checks. Why was I reported for no fault of my own? Please correct that error, so I can open new accounts and continue on with my business. I want this corrected right away please. This was reported erroneously as I see no reason to be reported.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: For two months, Capital One has not properly processed my automatic payments for my XXXX XXXX Account ending XXXX. I was charged XXXX for each late fee. Capital One waived the XXXX late fee because I had never been late on the account. I checked on my auto pay on XX/XX/XXXX and it was on. I received notification from Capital One today stating I was charged a late fee for XX/XX/XXXX. However, my auto pay was on and Capital One claimed I cancelled the payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not. I did not receive any notification that my XX/XX/XXXX payment was cancelled. Capital One claimed I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX informing me of the cancellation. I did not receive an email from Capital One nor text on XX/XX/XXXX. I enrolled in auto pay over 7 years. I have three accounts with Capital One but the XXXX XXXX account is the only account that I am having problems with the payment processing. After speaking to a supervisor, Capital One refused to waive the late fee for XX/XX/XXXX. I believe Capital One is intentionally not processing auto payments to unlawfully charge late fees.
