Consumer Complaint: I contacted Capital One concerning a credit card that I have with them ( I am an authorized user ). Capital One has been reporting the usage of this card to XXXX and XXXX but NOT to XXXX. The good usage of this account shows favorable on my XXXX and XXXX reports, but its absence on XXXX has my scores unbalanced, and this is negatively affecting my score averages so I can pursue a new mortgage. I requested that Capital One confirm that they would report the correct and timely information to the XXXX credit bureau. They first stated that they were reporting the account correctly ( see their letter dated XXXX ). But I called to let them know ( again ) that the issue is with them not reporting the card 's activity to XXXX. I need it reported to ALL three bureaus. I received confirmation from them via letter dated XXXX stating that they would report the information to XXXX, but they have failed to comply. I need the assistance of the CFPB to ensure Capital One reports the card activity to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

While I acknowledge your perspective regarding my responsibility for the account in question, I would like to emphasize that from the years XXXX to XXXX, I was unjustly incarcerated abroad, far from the United States. Given my circumstances during that period, it would have been impossible for me to open or manage any accounts. Additionally, the phone number associated with these accounts is entirely unfamiliar to me, and I have never used it. public records may show it linked to me but he probably used it for numberous other accounts he creaeted so it would make sense. I kindly implore your understanding and compassion in this matter. It is my belief that you do not possess my signature on file or have undertaken a thorough verification of my identity. Tho im not blaming your institution, I have reason to suspect that XXXX may have received assistance from his former girlfriend, who was employed there. Her involvement could shed light on how these accounts were initiated she was later fired I humbly request your assistance in rectifying this situation by removing these erroneous entries from my credit report. My hope is to establish an honest and mutually beneficial relationship with your institution, one that I personally initiated and can confidently participate in. Over sixty days later they claimed we owed them XXXX cents and billed us an additional fee 's and interest of a substantial amount. They also closed this card without any written notice either electronic or physical. They claimed they could do this without cause. Previously we never missed a payment.

Consumer Complaint: After checking out at the hotel ( XXXX XXXX on the hotel zone ) in XXXX, the bell boy called a taxi to take us ( my XXXX and I ) to the airport, who informed us that the fare would be {$45.00}. When we arrived at the airport, we wanted to pay the taxi driver in cash but he didnt have change, so we gave him {$40.00} dollars ( 2 x {$20.00} bills ). The airport employee who was stationed outside the airport by the taxi area gave him the remaining {$5.00}, and told us that he will charge that {$5.00} on my credit card, this way we are even. I agreed and gave him my credit card. He had a little handheld card scanning device and was attempting to use it but he said it did not work. Thats when another employee showed up with his little handheld device to charge my card the {$5.00}. I received no receipt but I was under the impression that I was being charged {$5.00}, the amount that I was supposed to reimburse the worker for. My XXXX and I went inside the airport, went through security already when I noticed the emails from CapitalOne bank regarding the possible fraudulent charges. There were two large amounts on our account. One was {$920.00} and the other one was {$1700.00} I had right away disputed those charges as they were not valid. They were supposed to charge us {$5.00} and instead they had charged us a total amount of {$2600.00}

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX is unlawfully and without permissible proposes reporting inaccurate and unlawful information to my credit report. Company responded that theyre allowed to report such activity which in their terms they state credit bureaus and others. The only bureau is the CFPB as proof is included in attachment. Others is misleading information to consumers and not specific as to who others are. Company is violating my privacy rights by furnishing such information. I have a right to privacy by law. Information is incomplete and not accurate which is a violation of usc 1681 b and inaccurate information can not be furnished on a consumer report.

Consumer Complaint: Good morning on XXXX I made a claim because once again money I needed to pay a bill with was taken off my account at a atm, i immediately got in contact with capital one to get a new card. But I still have not received the funds that was supposed to be sent to me in 2-3 days. Now my problem is with capital one is I recently fell on hard times once again and been doing little side hobbies I mentioned that to capital one and they still are withholding my funds but apparently now my account is being closed. Instead of doing that they could have easily sent me a email but they didnt nor did I receive a call from them. My only problem with them now is they are withholding funds I need the XXXX and they dont care. Its frustrating because here I am really needing the money and they not even allowing me to transfer it.
