Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I went to merchant and made a purchase for {$81.00} in the drive through. I accidentally left card in drive through at merchant and pulled off. Before i could even get a block away I realize this and turn around. As im sitting in the drive through a second time to get my card I get a text notification that someone at the merchant had made a {$320.00} purchase on my card. I immediately hop out of the drive through and go inside of the store to find out whats going on. When I explain to the employee up front what happened she goes to the back for about 10 minutes to talk to her manager. Im sitting on hold trying to get ahold of capital one when the manager comes from the back and strangely hands me my card and apologizes saying the charge will be reversed and it was a mistake. I dont know how you mistakenly charge a card that isnt yours {$300.00} plus dollars but thats what i was told, and to wait 3 days for it to clear. So I call capital one that same day anyway and explain the situation. The rep tells me to wait to see if it reverses before filing a claim and ordering a new card because it could mess with the transaction if I flat out cancelled my card. So i instead locked it to wait and see and sure enough the charge posted. So i call capital one again and explain the situation to a new rep who honestly seemed like he didnt know what was going on or how to do anything on his end. So i had to call back again once he said he couldnt or didnt know how to file a claim which was insane. So on XX/XX/ with the final rep i explain the situation and they go ahead and cancel my card and file the claim. There is absolutely no way they actually investigated the claim as they ended up filing a resolution saying that I benefitted from it which theres no way I could benefit from this purchase. There are cameras at the merchant everywhere and now im being forced to pay for something I didnt buy when a simple investigation, or rather an actual investigation would let you know I did not make this charge.

Consumer Complaint: Inquiry on Credit Report XXXX has not been removed after Capital One contacted me on XXXX and I confirmed it was not me who applied for credit. Was verified it was identity theft/fraud. XXXX advised it would take 60 days for Inquiry to be removed. Contacted Capital One on XXXX to inquire why it was not removed told it could take up to 90 days. Contacted Capital One again XXXX was told will expedite within 15 days. Contacted Capital One once again on XXXX XXXX from Dispute Escalation dept. stated would send message to last Fraud manager working case to address immediately and to wait 5 days. Later on XXXX received call from XXXX from Fraud & Dispute Resolution advised inquiry would be taken off on next cycle to CRA 's on XXXX. Contacted Capital One on XXXX manager XXXX now says I must send in a detailed letter explaining the situation. Again on XXXX manager XXXX stated same as last agent to send in detailed letter. I submitted previous complaint about this situation and reply was that agent showed it was taken care of and inquiry was removed. To this date XXXX inquiry has not been removed. XXXX advised for me to get letter stating it was Fraud from Capital One and they would remove it. Capital One refuses to give such a thing.

The payment was not overnight rush. USPS shows being received on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX at that post office box. Capital One representative said that Capital one was not the only business to receive mail at that box number, the representative said to mail it to the overnight address - Capital one attn : Payment Processing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NC XXXX. The previous month, the payment was sent early in the month to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and was not recorded as payment until the end of the month. I was charged {$25.00} for that month for late payment. I also had to pay an extra payment because it took 3 weeks for Capital One to recognize payment.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 I placed an order online for two pairs of XXXX. My credit card was charged {$26.00} for XXXX pair to be picked up in store and {$26.00} for XXXX pair to be shipped to my house. I had accidently selected the wrong store ( it defaulted to XXXX in SC where we were visiting at the time of the order ). When the order was ready for pick up, I realized my mistake and called on XX/XX/2023 to have the order exchanged and have the order sent to the correct store. The rep could not exchange it but told me they would cancel, refund the order and sent me kohls cash to ensure I could order to the correct store at the same price. On my statement, the refund for the order shows as XX/XX/2023 Return at XXXX XXXX and a refund of {$16.00} was placed. I waited expecting to receive the rest of the refund ( {$10.00} as the total paid was {$26.00} for the returned pair ). I contacted kohls today XX/XX/2023 looking for the refund. I was told that because of " kohls cash '' issued and used, I was only entitled to a refund of {$16.00} which was already applied. This was never explained by the first rep. I spoke with XXXX different customer service reps ( XXXX and XXXX XXXX and neither would fix the mistake. I should not have to pay {$10.00} for a pair of shoes I do not have in my hands. The order was canceled and a full refund should have been given. I asked to speak to a manager and XXXX XXXX came on the chat. She sent me their FAQ and also would not assist. I want them to review the call to see that the rep who helped me with the return was wrong, they should have explained the kohls cash situation because I would have returned the other order. This is predatory lending. No other company partially credits you because of a coupon they give you for shopping at their store. When I brought that up I got the same " I'm sorry '' response.
