Consumer Complaint: Hi, I was recently applying for an apartment and signed up for XXXX to check my credit report. I noticed my credit was extremely low and the reason was an impact to my credit by a credit inquiry. I opened the file and it showed a company Comenity Capital /XXXX XXXX I asked myself what the XXXX is this? So, I looked it up. It says it is an online bank, I dont have any online bank accounts. So I decided to file a dispute with Equifax and then call the company reporting this Comenity which informed me that they did not have a file with me and this May be a fraudulent account. The address that was used was an address I lived in 2015 and the bank Comenity, my husband informed me it was the same bank the two tenants from the basement used to pay the utility bills. We actually moved out of this place because they were stealing our mail. But now I now where one of my W2s that was mailed to me went. The tenants name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am going to now file a police report and have to fax all of this information to the credit company. Please report these people and the company.

Gravens ( Mo ) 281 SW 715, 719, I may presume that no proof of the alleged debt, nor therefore any such debt, in fact exists. Note that the collector has to stop all collection activities until it can provide all the evidence. Under the FDCPA Section 809, Validation of debts [ 15 USC 1692g ] I have the right to verify any alleged debt on my credit report and if the alleged debt is being disputed, the debt collector shall cease.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I recently opened up a XXXX XXXX credit card through Comenity Bank. I purchased around {$19000.00} of furniture from XXXX XXXX and received my first bill for {$6000.00} in XXXX of XXXX. The bill was due on XX/XX/XXXX and we mailed out the bill on XX/XX/XXXX for the full balance of {$6000.00}. Yesterday ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received my second bill and the bill said I owe {$29.00} late fee and {$210.00} interest charge. I thought there must be some kind of mistake so I promptly called XXXX to discuss my bill. XXXX said that. they didn't receive my first payment until XX/XX/XXXX, which was 5 days late. I explained that we sent out the bill a week before and that should be plenty of time to receive the payment. Our bank withdrew the money on XX/XX/XXXX. We explained that it's not our fault if the post office is running behind. Since we are a new customer with great credit and spent a lot of money at XXXX XXXX, we asked if they could please refund the interest charge and late fee. They said we can refund the {$29.00} late fee but not the interest charges. They said we shouldn't have sent the payment through the mail, it's not our problem. I have never received such HORRIBLE customer service from any credit card company. It's not our fault that it's COVID and the mail is running behind. We shouldn't be penalized from using the post office. We went to support them during this difficult time. After I didn't get anywhere with the first agent at XXXX, I asked to talk to a manager. The next person, said the same thing and was very matter of fact. I asked to be transferred to highest person that was available and I wouldn't get off the line until I got a reversal on the interest rate charged. I waited on line for over an hour without being connected to next manager. I hung up the phone and called again and again got the same response. XXXX didn't say I'm sorry that we can't reverse the charge, they just basically said your out of luck. I hung up the phone and researched if their were complaints about XXXX and found thousands of complaints about the company and that they had horrible customer service. And I saw that they had numerous law suits as well. In addition, I received a robo call a few weeks ago and I could barely understand the recording. But I listened to the call again today and it seemed to be from Comenity Bank saying we call help you with your bill but I thought it was a call from a company trying to rip me off. I have never had an issue with paying my bill and felt that I was treated horribly being a brand new customer who pays their bills in full. I shouldn't be penalized for the delay from the post office. I would really like a refund for the interest charges and I really want the company how horribly they treat their customers. I will tell everyone not to get a credit card from them. I also want others to know about this terrible company. Thank you so much for you help in this matter. Also, we just paid off the next bill in full om XX/XX/XXXX so we wouldn't incur anymore interest charges.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX provided me with a letter stating that they found that my account was fraudulent and that I owed them no money. They then have this account listed on my credit report as a collection. I wrote Comenity bank and sent them a copy of the letter that they sent me, and this still shows as negative on my credit report. This company is in violation of the FCRA and FTC by reporting fraudulent information to the credit bureaus. Comentity reported that I owe {$1200.00} to all 3 credit bureaus after the letter was written and sent to me about the fraud that occurred in my name on this faulty XXXX XXXX department store account. This account as state din the letter was supposed to be deleted and removed from my credit report. This has affected my credit tremendously by my score dropping because this is the only account I have in collections.

I have paid and settled this account but its still reporting monthly as a charge off, and its listed on my credit report twice. When I call they inform me when they switched from regular cards to chipped cards it ended up reporting twice on my report. I would like this removed from my credit report.

I initially sent a request for XXXX to validate the account, and send proof such as a copy of a signed agreement or any other documentation to validate the information being reported was indeed mine or correct. After 4 different attempts they have failed to provide me proof of this account. I have disputed this information four times on XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, and have given them warning that if it could not be validated, to remove it from my report or i would be filing a formal complaint. In addition the information XXXX is reporting does not match the information reporting by the other credit agencies. I have gave them ample time and opportunity to resolve this issue before having to take the route of filing a complaint

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX sent a payment to comenity bank for my bjs credit card. The payment was for {$4200.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX it was cashed by comenity and taken out of my checking account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I got an email from bjs showing my bjs bill was {$4500.00}! I called up comenity and they say they never received payment but it was taken out of my account! I went to my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX and got a copy of my check front and back showing it was cashed by comenity. I called again comenity and was passed around until I was told to make a dispute and send the copy of the check which I did. I call everyday and was told they will not credit my account until the dispute is resolved! They say it could take up to 60 day! Can they do this? I feel this is ILLEGAL! THEY CASHED THE CHECK. THEY GOT THEIR MONEY! Can you help me please.
