Consumer Complaint: Tried a third time today. Company refuses to open the account or explain why they won't. The CFPB refuses to take my complaint and read it. Proof that no one has ever read my complaint is that no one will respond to it. If a real live person has read this, please write me at XXXX. I am a former State Representative. I shouldn't have to call in political favors to find out why a bank rejected my application. This doesn't require a Congressional hearing. I merely want to know either : 1 ) why they won't open the bank account ; or 2 ) Failing that, I want the CFPB to tell me whether or not you consider yourself to have the authority to investigate this matter. If you don't, please give me the statute or regulation that prevents you from helping consumers find out the reason a bank account wasn't opened. As it is, I am 99 % confident no one ever reads these complaints and you never do anything. But if I'm wrong, prove it. Please respond to be at my email address. If you're overworked and unable to respond to most consumer complaints, you can let me know that as well. I think the public has a right to know if the CFPB is able to do its job or lacks resources to do so. Maybe I can help.

Consumer Complaint: I have done several disputes with several credit card companies trying to get them to send me info showing that the accounts are mine. They sent the account to a collection agency XXXX XXXX. I paid the balance due bc I needed my credit fix with XXXX XXXX. I told XXXX XXXX that even though these accounts are not mine I am willing to pay so I can better my credit. I paid the express store card from comenity bank and the Victoria secret store card from comenity bank. I keep disputing with express from comenity bank and Victoria secret from comenity bank, and they dont respond or send anything validating the accounts are mine at all. I been disputing this with these companies for a long time now. If they cant produce paperwork indicating these are my accounts then they need to remove these accounts from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a store Card. Was denied based on a Credit freeze on. The company listed for the credit freeze was " XXXX / XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. Upon calling them they didn't have a credit freeze on me. They don't do credit freezes. They looked up the information in their system on me and reported that there was nothing that would cause a creditor to deny me credit. They also had no record of Comenity bank making a credit check. I had unfroze my Credit reports with the three credit bureaus- XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX. Records show that the bank had in fact made a credit inquiry with XXXX on XX/XX/2022. I'm not sure why they fabricated this story about XXXX when obviously my credit was checked with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I have applied for the Victoria Secret Credit Card ( for the promotions as advertised on their website and in-store ) XXXX ( XXXX ) times over the past XXXXhree ( 3 ) months. Each time they claim that they will send a " letter in the mail in 10-14 days to give an explanation '' and each time I NEVER receive any communication or letter as stated. I have contacted Victoria Secret multiple times on XX/XX/2022 to see exactly what they need me to do ( as I have a credit freeze ). I was told that I needed to remove my credit freeze with XXXX and XXXX, ( which I did ) and reapply to get the same message. I believe at this time Victoria Secret has a fraudulent and/or deceptive process in processing applications. They do not seem to have a department that actually handles application and their customer service reps just repeat what's stated on their website " wait the 10-14 '' days and I expressed multiple times I NEVER receive any letter. This is ridiculous. Once again I miss out on their promotions.
