Consumer Complaint: My XXXX payment was submitted in full to Comenity Bank on XX/XX/XXXX via electronic payment from my bank account at XXXX XXXX XXXX The funds were debited from my acct on XX/XX/XXXX and according to acct. history the check was delivered on XX/XX/XXXX. The due date on the Comenity bank statement was XX/XX/XXXX. I received my XXXX statement and the amount due is the previous months balance, a late payment fee and interest on the previous months amount. I spoke with 3 agents and each one said the previous months balance was due although I disputed that I owed anything. Not one of those agents told me that I could dispute this and I had 60 days to do so. I did make a payment in the amount which was reported on the XXXX statement but cancelled it after some investigation of my account history. I went to my bank got a copy of the cancelled check sent to Comenity on the XXXX which showed they received a payment in full and cleared XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I did make a payment of {$41.00} as a minimum payment. But I believe that is money that needs to be credited back to me since I had no balance due. I did file a dispute according to the instructions on the statement and sent it certified mail along with supporting documents. The number of phone calls from Comenity about every other day was annoying and there was one on XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I have been receiving repetitive calls from THE DELEGATES GROUP to collect dept that has been already paid. They have called my family and my empllyer to obtain information. They are rude and very pushy on the phone not even introducing themselves professionally. When I asked for a debt collection request through mail they refused to provided it. On multiple occassions they said they have Comenity bank on the other line but never connected me with them. They ask personal questions that a debt collector should not be asking. When I asked that they do not bother me while I am at work they were rude and refused to call after XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX XXXX XXXX that used Comenity banking system. Their website has always been difficult to navigate. Plus quite often having maintenance issues. During XXXX and XXXX of 2022, their site was going to be down for couple days for repairs but it was down for most of 2 months. They were thoughtful enough to put up a disclaimer that they apologize for any inconveniences and blah blah blah wouldn't be charging any late fees while access to their website was down. Around first part of XXXX they installed a quick access to make a payment but it was non functioning also. Towards the end of XXXX, I wanted to pay this credit card off but it took half of XXXX to do so. I was able to log on and used the pay in full feature the website provided. Day or XXXX later I was able to get logged back on again and checked to see it was paid off. It showed XXXX balance and I canceled the card. Then in XXXX I got email that that I had late charge on credit card. I tried to contact them and also sent email through their website but to no avail. I had no reason to check an account that had been paid off and closed. Would think if a person paid off an account and then closed the said account, they would not be checking it again. I didnt figure they would try to scam me on a {$20.00} interest charge that they had been posted late. I suppose during this time, Comenity was too busy with the selling of their interest to Brands.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank is not licensed to conduct business in California and they have no " Local Agent for Service of Process '' as required by law and are Unlawfully attempting to collect a fraudulent debt that has already been resolved by XXXX which provided CFPB with their written response that the money was returned to my account. Comenity failed to conduct due diligence and provided a fraudulent response to my complaint. I have no lawful responsibility to transfer any money that was done without my knowledge and consent, forcing me to work for free. This matter needs to be resolved by XXXX and Comenity Bank who get paid to work. Secondly Comentity Bank, etc. has to provide me ( XXXX ) with the name, address and telephone number of their local California XXXX for service of process. I called Comenity Bank and spoke with XXXX employees. ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX who told me they would call me back with said information in 3 days but have failed to call provide me with their California local agent for service of process. California State Law requires they have an XXXX For XXXX XXXX XXXX. Records revealed they are in violation of California State Law in this regards.

Consumer Complaint: I had an account with wayfair. I ordered two items. An headboard and modern sofa. I returned the sofa because I did not like it. The other item was an upholstery headboard which was only {$110.00}. I made my payment and verified with the representative after me paying the last XXXX since I owed nothing. She justified that. A year later Wayfair hit my account stating I never paid. I called them and the representative said she didnt know why it was on my credit. I paid them off and it should not even hit my credit. They had no explanation. I asked if they could send the notes from my account where they saw it notated I dont owe anything. I have been reaching out to wayfair more than a year. They have now sold my account the second time to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX where they are saying I owe XXXX and calling and harassing me. I do not owe them XXXX. They should not even have my information.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint about my credit card account, which has been closed without proper notice or for an invalid reason. I received an alert from a different creditor that there has been an account closed. I was shocked to receive this notice, as I had been making all of my required payments on time and had not exceeded my credit limit. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the credit card issuer had closed my account without providing the required advance notice, as stated in the credit card agreement. I have contacted the creditor, and they claim nothing could be done after an account has been closed. I am requesting that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigate this matter and take appropriate action to address the credit card issuer 's failure to follow the terms of the credit card agreement and provide proper notice. I also request that the Bureau consider my claim that the reason for the account closure was never provided. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
