Consumer Complaint: I opened a loan with XXXX Credit Card and made my 1st automatic payment from my savings account on XX/XX/2022. This payment was accepted. On XX/XX/2022 the payment was drawn but was returned. I was charged a late fee of a {$29.00}. I do not have a checking only a savings. The 1st payment from savings was accepted but the 2nd wasnt because the company request checking not savings? On XX/XX/2022 they tried to automatically withdraw the full amount of {$3700.00}. I didnt agree to this and my credit union charged me twice for the overdraft.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX if 2021, I paid off my credit card with Comenity Bank ( XXXX XXXX ). I asked them to also close my account and to update credit bureaus that it was indeed paid off, up to date and closed. However, this company continued to charge me interest etc. I have contacted them NUMEROUS times in regards to them saying I owe them money as well as disputing late payments with credit bureaus. When I spoke to them on phone and email, they stated charges would still occur when a man account is closed. Well, noit shouldnt. A closed account, requested my customer, should in fact be closed. I literally wanted them to show this on credit reports and to be rid of them completely but that hasnt been the case. I am extremely fed up with this company and would appreciate help getting this issue resolved. I am among thousands that they have done this to. My good credit score has been damaged and they need to fix along with not sending me any more bills for a card I dont even have anymore.

Do not engage in any conduct to harass, oppress, or to abuse me, the consumer. Acc. CFPB 12 CFR 1002.7, Comenity Bank discriminated and committed adverse actions against me for exercising my rights under good faith. Comenity bank changed the terms of the agreement and closed the account twice.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Victoria Secret credit card. XXXX affected me greatly in 2020 and there were several bills including my car payment that I couldnt pay. I even lost my vehicle. I spoke with VS and I was supposed to be added to a program and they never added me to it. They continued to add interest and late fees. I tried to settle debt several times of the amount I actually owed like {$400.00} before all fees. They refused. Then they appeared on my credit report. The debt collector sent my acct to a lawyer. Apparently they tried to sue me for {$830.00} over a {$400.00} owed amount but I was never served. I once again tried to do the right thing and settle the debt and the lawyer stated the debt collector wouldnt accept a settlement. So I told them I was disputing the charges on my credit reports bc they refused to settle. All of a sudden a few days later I received a letter from the courts stating they filed a order of nonsuit. I never knew they tried to sue me. They want {$830.00} for a {$400.00} amount owed. I have offered several times the {$400.00} I did owe and they continue to refuse my settlement. And after repeatedly telling them to stop contacting me they continued to do so and threatened me with their lawyer and told me I now would be responsible for that {$830.00} plus lawyer and court fees. I do not like being threatened or harassed. I will no longer be offering the {$400.00} I actually had left to pay. I am willing to settle one last time but not more than {$50.00}. But if they wont accept that then the offer is no longer available and I am ok waiting 7 years for it to fall of my credit reports but I do not wish to be contacted or threatened ever again.

I find this to be particularly strange as I have three other cards with commenity bank that are in good standing. The individual ( s ) attempting to contact me incessantly blow up my phone ( more than 10 times daily ) and have requested to speak with my attorney, have threatened to escalate the situation, and have even reached out to family members after my family members have asked them to cease and desist. I have explained to them I intend on settling the situation ASAP and have explained this multiple times.

Consumer Complaint: I am submitting this to the CFPB to make them aware of this conversation last night with Comenitys specialized team. XXXX XXXX said she would make a fair compromise when it came to my accounts because of continual issues with their online payments. I did do what they told me to do with one of my comenity accounts and try to make a minimum payment. When there was an error with the website timing out and going blank, I emailed the specialized team saying theres an issue with the site. I have attached the email of what XXXX XXXX saying she was going to do, that never happened. 5 accounts were not adjusted like she said they would be. XXXX XXXX is now claiming they cant make those adjustments. I believe they can. This last chain of emails I received are not acceptable. This is simply gaslighting and I feel is retaliatory. I have been dealing with comenitys issues for 8 months. And so have many other customers. And instead of taking accountability, once again Im blamed for everything. Comenity and reps, I do not control your systems. I do not control your phones or computers. I will not accept any abuse or gaslighting. I have attached the emails from last night.

Consumer Complaint: When at XXXX, I got offered a credit card that would give me 25 % off a large purchase. I took it. Comenity was the bank offering the card. For the first payment, it took me FOREVER to find a phone # to make the payment as I never got a bill/statement. I finally found a phone # on the web, and make a full payment of my entire balance, on time on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid via my bank account with XXXX. I called Comenity on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX as they never took out money from XXXX account. Comentiy told me their IT systems were being repaired, but my account was paid in full, I owed {$0.00}. In XXXX, I received a paper bill at my house. Comenity claimed to have a returned check from my XXXX bank on XX/XX/XXXX. Due to the " returned check '' ( which never was ), they charged me late fees and interest fees, and returned check fee. XXXX, my bank, has no record of a returned check, and I have enough money to pay the full bill. Comenity never tried to take out the money. I went to XXXX so I had tried evidence to submit to Comenity. I got a report from XXXX showing I had to returned check fees. When I tried to submit the report to Comenity per their advice, the and Comenity website kept saying " issue - cant accept attachments '', and the messages I wrote on the Comenity " secured message center '' kept disappearing due to " system issues '' at Comenity. Comenity is a Fraudulent company. All these young people who shop at XXXX, many of who are minorities, are getting charged for things that are not accurate. The Feds need to investigate!
