Consumer Complaint: Owed a dollar to banter credit the month before this it was XXXX. Paid the XXXX dollars and got another bill for XXXX. Assuming bill was paid. Got somehow XXXX balance??????? Called and said that something is wrong that I paid card off. She said I owed a dollar somehow, and charged me a late fee. To resolve it without an argument I just told her to take the XXXX dollar charge for being late that she requested along with the dollar that they claimed I owed. Gave her my card number over the phone. Next month and harassing calls Im told that it was never paid. The charges are up to XXXX so far. I told them this was resolved per telephone and paid in full. That I dont owe them anything.

Consumer Complaint: This account is has been showing on my consumer credit reports as a charge-off for XXXX years plus. Ive been trying to dispute this issue for XXXX years now. It is illegal to furnish income on a consumer report. A charge-off, according to the IRS, is income and you must file a XXXX. They can't charge it off then report it to IRS. Furthermore, ( CB/VICSCRT ) is committing tax fraud. As it stands, I have not received a copy of this form. My rights as a consumer are protected under Chapter 41 Title 15 USC 1601 highlights the consumer 's informed use of credit. At the time that I entered this consumer credit transaction, I was uninformed and I did not understand as the information was not clear and conspicuous. The agreement is null and void due to my lack of understanding because of your corporations unfair, deceptive, and misleadingpractices.

Consumer Complaint: I am requesting that CFPB investigate how Comenity Bank, the servicer for the retailer XXXX, is assessing interest fees on accounts that have balances that are carried forward into the following billing cycle. In XX/XX/2022, I had a balance that carried forward. I subsequently paid the balance in full and Comenity Bank has continued to assess interest charges. I paid the balance on my XXXX statement in full and Comenity Bank assessed {$2.00} interest. On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid {$2.00} and for 5 days the balance was XXXX until I used my card for another purchase. Comenity Bank charged me {$2.00} in interest on my XXXX statement despite the last interest fee having been paid and the account having a XXXX balance for 5 days before another charge was made. Comenity Bank is stating that I can't use my card until the next business cycle or they will continue to assess interest charges. This practice is nickel and dimeing consumers.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 I was checking my XXXX XXXX account and saw that I had a new card on my credit report that I did not sign up for. I called the credit card company, XXXX Comenity Bank XXXX I spoke to a gentleman named XXXX XXXX no last name provided ). He said they would cancel the card and send me proof of cancellation. I filled an identity theft report with the FTC as well as placing fraud alerts and credit freezes on the reporting bureaus. XX/XX/2023 Today I received the card in question. I have complied a letter to the credit card company and included a copy of my ID theft report. I am hoping the card was sent before I called them on the XXXX and I have just received it on accident. I am still waiting confirmation of the card/account being cancelled In anticipation that they did not listen to my request and cancelled the account I have complied a letter to the credit card company and included a copy of my ID theft report to mail off to the company. I am also mailing the card back to them. I am also filling this report out as an extra precaution.

Consumer Complaint: Account # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I have had a credit card with XXXX XXXX XXXX for many years now. We use it to buy new tires for our vehicles, as they offer a 0 % interest rate. In XX/XX/2023, I paid off the balance, as the 0 % promotional interest rate was going to end on my tire purchase.. Apparently XXXX XXXX has switched credit card companies now to I believe Comenity. Even though I paid the balance of {$180.00}, they apparently charged me the entire year 's interest the day the payment cleared. They did not clear the payment til a few days after I submitted it, which was after the payment due date. We were on vacation for the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX holiday so I paid it online. I have never had a 0 % interest card add the componded interest for the entire 12 months, when the 0 % promotional period was over. When I try to call, the customer service representative is in another XXXX and does not understand what I am asking. It was also quite noisy in the background. I also found out when they switched banks handling their credit cards, my account was closed last year and I was never told. I have tried emailing their customer service and mailed a letter to their address in XXXX XXXX, SD and receive no response on waiving the now {$340.00} balance. I also reached out to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX has not responded to their inquiry either.

Consumer Complaint: I have a store card with Victoria Secret through Comenity. Comenity strikes again! I have not been using my store card for months just paying on it. Today ( XX/XX/2023 ) I am doing some finances and got to look to see how much I have left. I am negative!! I get XXXX because I havent made purchases and yet it says interest on purchase, several times and purchases several times for something called ACCOUNT ASSURE. I assume this is some sort of card protection that I never signed up for. I dont check my acct on a regular because I have paperless statements ( looking out for the environment ) needless to say each month I make a payment it seems it is voided by not only a charge that shows as a purchase from account assure, but interest on this false charge. They have charged me several times over the course of months and interest which totally voids out any minimum payments. Therefore instead of paying down my balance on this card every month, I pay and pay and still end up in the negative for purchases I did not make, and I service I did not sign up for. Please help because I cant afford to constantly make my payments assuming I am eliminating debt while this company is adding debt to my acct and destroying my already not great credit in the process.

Consumer Complaint: My XXXX VISA card was previously with XXXX XXXX XXXX where I had a 10 year perfect payment record. The account was transferred on XX/XX/XXXX to Comenity Capital Bank. Since the transfer, my payments were never posted on a timely basis and always just past the due date and incurred late fees. Payments were made through XXXX XXXX so the date of the payments is verifiable. One check was " lost '' and I was instructed to stop payment and reissue. The check was deposited the following day and I was charged a return check fee of {$28.00}. The replacement check for {$6000.00} was sent via certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX. The USPS confirmed it was picked up on XX/XX/XXXX. It was not posted to my account until 12 work days later on XX/XX/XXXX, one day after the due date incurring more interest. The total late fees, returned check charges and interest as a result of Comenity Capital Bank delaying the payments is {$300.00}. In addition, the cash back amount I earned of {$260.00} is not available for me. Please see the attached letter to the FDIC for additional details.
