Consumer Complaint: XXXX XX/XX/2022, we submitted the online form to have the cash value of points direct deposited to a checking account. When this did not happen, we made multiple phone calls, received conflicting information about how long it took, and finally, at the suggestion of a supervisor, filed a dispute that was confirmed by a letter from Comenity on XX/XX/2022. This gave the bank 90 days to resolve the issue. We received a letter in XXXX, dated XX/XX/XXXX, that says " We are currently working to resolve this issue and append the points used back to your account. When this did not append, I called on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a supervisor again and was promised resolution. I followed up on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a supervisor and a manager who also promised resolution. Since it has been over four months since the original form was filed, we have little hope that Comenity will willingly give us the money owed through the points program.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: I have a Comenity / Bread XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. They offer a promotion for any season ticket purchase over {$250.00} you have 6 months no interest promotion period. I made my season ticket purchase with the XXXX XXXX for {$4800.00}, directly with the XXXX XXXX ticket office. When the charge posted to my account there was no promotional period. I spent over a week going through their online chat to try to find out why it wasn't added with a promotional period. They eventually determined it didn't have one, even though it clearly states on all of the marketing literature that a promo exists. I then called them, spoke with two different supervisors ( the last of which was very rude and aggressive ) and the only thing they could offer was to dispute the charge in order to have it added to the promotion. The dispute takes two weeks and the balance on the card is due in a week and a half. They are essentially forcing me to pay the card in full to avoid interest charges since the dispute won't be complete until after the payment due date. This is very misleading and I still never received an answer as to why the promo period is being advertised but not honored.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Consumer Complaint: On Friday XX/XX/XXXX I received an alert on my XXXX credit reporting app about a Hard Inquiry that was placed on my credit report by Comenity CapitalXXXX XXXX It was after hours so I had to wait to file the dispute over the phone Monday morning during XXXX 's business hours. When I called. they advised that the card was opened by a sporting goods store and that I would need to file the dispute with the store. XXXX started the dispute process and found it to be fraud and had the inquiry removed. I located the contact number for the company, now known as XXXX XXXX XXXX. I live in XXXX and they have no locations in PA and I had never heard of them. When I called the company they confirmed that the card was opened online using my personal information. When I told them I had never heard of the store, never even got a card, nor an email, they confirmed that the email on file is not my personal email. I requested the account be closed as fraud and they advised that they would note the file. I also requested documentation be sent in the mail confirming the fraud and closed account and that is pending. I then went into my local police station to file a report for identity theft. Their office told me they do not release those reports unless they receive a subpoena, but that I could submit the record # to the local Social Security office and that report would be on file, should I decide to file for a new SSN. I also alerted my banking institutions. Coincidentally, my cell phone provider the day before this happened ( XX/XX/XXXX ) advised that their network was accessed and my CPNI was released, but no " personal information was leaked ''. Then, 24 hours later, someone used my SSN to open a credit card online. I called them immediately to advise that I think their breach was more than compromised and they have assured me that it was not ; I am, however, skeptical given the timeline of events. I have copies all my credit report and the report # should anyone need it.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Unexpected increase in interest rate
Consumer Complaint: This is regarding a purchase I made with XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for living room furniture for my new home. The sofa was on sale for {$2600.00} and a console table was {$1300.00} this was paid using deferred interest 245 months. I was unable to pay all by XX/XX/XXXX and on checking my bill XXXX charged me {$3300.00} in interest. I called them and the customer service representative told me that because the bill was not paid in full by XX/XX/XXXX the sale price, I receive for items purchase was retracked and the full price was applied. I told her that does not make any sense. I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor, but she told me I will be told the same thing and hanged up on me. Since opening the account my payment was made on time and apparently all payments, I made prior to XX/XX/XXXX was never applied to my balance. This does not make any sense and the interest/ balance applied to my account is excessive.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank has been wrongly reporting the account as overdue/delinquent and spoiling my credit history and FICO score XXXX I had a balance of {$3900.00} pending payment on XX/XX/2022 cycle. From XX/XX/XXXX till XXXX XXXX, Comenity bank payment systems were down and it was all over the news. I made the payment of the entire remaining balance of {$3900.00} in XXXX as soon as the systems were up. I even called them to make sure that the balance amount is paid and there should be no late payments or charges as their systems were down. The payment was posted and deducted on XX/XX/XXXX from my checking account. I have not used this card ever since. And nobody contacted me until first week of XX/XX/2022 saying, $ XXXX cents was not paid in XXXX and it has accumulated late fees. After multiple calls, they opened a dispute - XXXXThey said it was a mistake at their end and they have not sent a balance letter or called me ever since. But I started receiving emails from all the credit unions that an account is delinquent and my credit score has dropped. And when I login to XXXX, I see Comenity bank reporting that I have not paid since XX/XX/2022. They have not pushed balance history from XX/XX/2022 to XX/XX/2022 to any credit unions. I can share all the statements to prove this. Please help me get my credit score back on track.
