Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint with Comemity Bank almost a year ago about a defective air conditioner that I purchased from XXXX. I never received any correspondence regarding the dispute and every time I called it the dispute had still not been worked in over 6 months. I spoke to several managers who said that they would escalate my concerns. After I didn't hear back again I don't try the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Comemity never set the charge aside and continued to charge the disputed amount plus interest. XXXX promised to refund my money after numerous complaints but never sent through with it and they gave me a nonworking number for the manufacturer. Comemity never acknowledged my dispute until after my complaint and the letter they sent does not pertain to my dispute about a defective item. XXXX has violated the credit card agreement.

Consumer Complaint: My concerns are that the credit card company did not acknowledge hardship and continued to add late fees and added interest that was not at the reduced APR as agreed. I contacted Comenity bank in XX/XX/XXXX and explained that I needed payment assistance and request to be placed in hardship program. I spoke to a rep from overseas and the payment arrangement was set for 12 months and I began the program ( so I thought ) In XXXX, I began to receive phone calls from Comenity bank stating that I was past due and I notice that the charges they placed on my account for late fees and ridiculous amounts of interest. Under the hardship program, there was a reduced ARP of 10-11 %. This was not it. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that the last rep I spoke to did not enroll me into the hardship program, and did not offer to fix the issue. They simply said they can enroll me at that time. But I asked several times how and explained that I obviously did because I have payments scheduled for the reduced amount for the next year at the reduced rate. The rep did not have any solutions and did not offer to reverse previous charges that should not been on the account. I requested to speak to a US representative and was placed on a long hold to wait. Once a US representative was on the line, she did not see the XXXX conversation either and stated that after a few billing cycles the late fees should be reversed but now my credit score has lowered tremendously behind this and due to the high interest they werent supposed to charge me and late fees, Im nearly at the max and I dont know how to fix this. Its hard getting through with the telephone number thats on the card and on the website. Then, the company decides to lower the limit on my NYC credit card from XXXX to XXXX further damaging my credit score and left me with a remaining credit limit of XXXX. I paid that account on time and didnt have any issues with that account so Im frustrated with this company and their unfair practices.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX I paid a XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me, on line using my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX It was accepted. Then, for the next, 6 ( SIX ) months, they have refused to acknowledge that this bill was paid in full, on TIME. They continue to accrue interest, penalties and fees on that {$210.00}, no matter how many calls I make to XXXX XXXX and their collection Bank, XXXX! My over XXXX point credit rating has plunged more than XXXX points, making it impossible for me to do anything requiring an excellent credit rating. I have a file an inch thick on paper work associated with trying to get this straightened out. XXXX XXXX XXXX bank have recorded their letter to them stating that the bill was paid on line through their financial institution ... .everything completely ignored! When I am actually able to get through to a real person from either XXXX or XXXX XXXX, I am treated with no respect, threatened, put off, hung up on ... .transferred to others who insist I repeat the whole story to them over and over and over.

Consumer Complaint: I paid my XXXX credit card bill on XX/XX/2021, via my online banking account with Bank XXXX XXXX. It was {$140.00}. JCrew claims they never received payment. I sent to JCrew proof of payment from XXXX XXXX XXXX showing that the funds from my checking account were electronically transferred to JCrew on XX/XX/2021. They have that document. Despite that proof, XXXX continues to claim the bill was unpaid. I now have a bill in excess of {$810.00}. Anything above the {$140.00} represents interest and fines. My credit score is being damaged. And I am accruing more and more debt. XXXX refuses to acknowledge payment but offered to settle the matter today for {$490.00} which is outrageous.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank did not make it clear that I was in a promotional plan. They put the blame on the store where I got the card saying they should have told me. I still never knew. I had autopay enabled and thought it was doing the correct payments and then get charged a deferred interest payment without any notice afterwards. The only notice I got was on 3 statements in small font. They never reached out or warned me of this predatory lending. I had to pay this because I was being charged more interest on it. I paid everything off and closed the account and get some other late interest fee a week later from them. I called when I closed my account and asked if there was anything else needed and they said no yet still charged me. They consistently are hiding things from me and I never know what I owe.
