Consumer Complaint: I was offered a XXXX XXXX credit card and I specifically told them I did not want it. Somehow they opened one anyway. I did not get the card. That card was charged for purchases anyway. I called and paid my balance and did not know I was already charged interest. I have tried calling and keep getting different stories about the status of the account. Today my daughter was helping me. We called, I closed the account and paid the balance - which is all interest - even though I do not believe I should owe any balance as I did not want the card in the first place. I am now worried I have been reported late to the credit bureaus. I pay my bills on time and this has been a very distressing experience.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Comenity Capital Bank ) Unethical late fee charges. I receive the statement on XX/XX/XXXX - I mail payment XX/XX/XXXX. They dont post it until XX/XX/XXXX & charge me a late fee of {$41.00}. ( their cut off date was XX/XX/XXXX ) This is the 2nd time this has occurred within the last year. I called to see if they could reverse the fee as other card companies have done in past - especially since the mail is even slower during holidays & they refused. I explained that according to my bank the payment should have arrived on XX/XX/XXXX before the XX/XX/XXXX cut off date. I even spoke with a supervisor XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX central time. Explained everything and he would not reverse late fee. I just received a new statement today XXXX which they claimed to have mailed XXXX which took 9 days to arrive at my residence. If I pay it today, according to my bank bill pay account it should arrive by XX/XX/XXXX. The due date is XX/XX/XXXX. This is the only card company that this occurs with and they do not work with consumers due to circumstances beyond their control- such as mail service, the company statement mail date which have a bearing on when payments are received. Bank generated checks are very accurate in determining checks arrival dates.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX from Comenity Capital bank set up an agreement for settlement to pay off XXXX Credit card account. She called me, left message on my cell phone. I returned the call. She is collections or recovery dept. We spoke on XX/XX/XXXX when I called. XXXX offered the best budget payment. For XXXX she managed to settlement {$440.00} I agreed and said I can do {$110.00} per month auto draft the fifth of each month. XX/XX/XXXX was the first withdrawal set up by XXXX and Comenity Capital bank. Again, this company defaults to take XX/XX/XXXX payment. I waited about a day or two. I called and was told the system didn't pull the Payment I said that is not my fault and you guys have done this too me too many times. I have over paid fees, and suffered tremendous stress due to negative reports and harassing calls. I was told if I can make the Payment now meaning not within my set up budget. I said no I can have it set up XXXX, I was told today my settlement expired as of XX/XX/XXXX. I was devastated and spoken to as if I created this problem and to be told by XXXX that due to the settlement expired I have to pay the balaNce and the remaining {$330.00} I paid has been put towards the full amount not the settlement. This is game, they defaulted so many times and not one of them called me about XXXX account payments and I have called al! The time to verify all is well. That is how I was able to find out again why XX/XX/XXXX isn't showing Pending as I was also told by XXXX if I have any issues call. I did asked if the XX/XX/XXXX th, XXXX XXXX can be. auto draft at the end of XXXX since my budget was not fully available for the {$110.00} for XXXX to the end of XXXX because no one called me not even sent letters of these agreements and not even letters of satisfaction of Debts. This rep XXXX was trying to blame me and speaking to me as if I didn't understand how all this works..I was solo upset. My phone was frozen and I kept telling her no no no do not play games with this with me. I will not give anymore money. These collections representatives play a dirty nasty ruining my life regarding defaults of their own, not completing the verbal recorded agreements and manipulation of words when I am so close to finish all this payments. Also after agreeing and told the accounts are still open they lie and the credit bureaus show closed accounts. I have set up these four credit cards with several Collection and Recovery supervisor and reps such as XXXX, XXXX XXXX, now XXXX who completely disregard all that was completely said to me for settlement. Also supervisor XXXX finalize all the accounts for payments. I call for her and never get her. I am not paying anymore to Comenity Capital bank who are falsifying and committed wrong doing to my Financial living by defaulting over charging me late fees dragging and dragging, and taking money out of mg checking accounts after a settlement is paid of my Credit card and sending me a letter of congratulations! Account paid in full and then still autodraft money from a finished settlement and sending me statements to make regular payments and still arguing that I owe. I HAVE BEEN GOING THRU THIS FOR YEARS!! Comenity Capital bank has me with my finance held against my debts to finish Payment in full regarding agreement settlement only for them to manipulate the system and their errors of their company, are placed blamed to me and my credit history.. And taking more money and harassing calls, judgements of how I didn't keep agreements, how supervised Collection and Recovery bosses choose wording against my truth to their errors and Make me think I am really at fault. I have been telling them I am so close to finish all this and never want anything to do with this banking from Comenity Capital bank and their allies.. I am trapped I can not believe bow my XXXX Credit card settlement agreement is and has been defaulted by their company Recovery supervisor errors and now me being told I am at fault and they were trying to contact me and couldn't get in touch with me that is false! My money was being withdrawal and never once I got any calls about their missed XX/XX/XXXX XXXX withdrawal and never got a letter to contact them about their missed withdrawal and still I never got a letter about XX/XX/XXXX th XXXX expires the {$440.00} settlement. I still did not get any any agreement settlement letter as I was told I would, not even letter of congratulations completely of settlement on XXXX of the credit cards fro. Comenity Capital bank and I still still was lied to about XXXX and they Lied about Zales, XXXX, Bed Bath Beyond. I have a huge amount of Complaints and request of unfair treatment and abuse of power and controlling my money and their wrongdoing of Collection and not complying honestly to me as a consumer who has over paid over paid. They owe me money back since all these four credit cards have been triple times or quadrupled over payments from me my bank accounts that the amount of me paying out is higher than my Credit limits issued and. Not to mention they would lower my credit limit so low that it would set off debt to ratio % of over using my cards when k wasn't they were in hardship settlement the amounts were due to the astronomical late fee charges and Double late fee and service charges omg!!!! please I'm asking to help me with this nightmare. I don't owe anymore to Comenity Capital bank they have over charged me and ruined my debt history by over over abusive of errors made by those of all who I have been subjected to lies, errors,, and spoken to bittiling my way of handing my finance. Please pull all The calls from the day I asked for hardship and settlements and the last year til today XX/XX/XXXX all payments I have triple made. All. I want my credit fixed and their errors and demands of them making huge errors causing me as if I defaulting that is what they have been doing to me and making me start all over. I only owe {$110.00} Which it is their error of not pulling XX/XX/XXXX first payment was supposed to start this is my one last Payment to finish off XXXX {$440.00} settlement agreement and my request to pull that amount by XXXX XXXX. I have four Comenity Capital bank credit cards and over five years or so. I have agreed on hardship payments and auto draft payments.

Consumer Complaint: Zales reported my account 30 days past due for the XX/XX/2023 payment. I made the XX/XX/2023 payment on XX/XX/2023. I have never made a payment more than 30 days past due and this should have been reported. They explained to me that once my payment due on XX/XX/XXXX wasnt paid on the actual due date, they generated a new statement on XX/XX/XXXX saying basically XXXX payments were due on XX/XX/XXXX. Well, I made the XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX so while there statement did call for XXXX payments on XX/XX/XXXX, I made the one that was currently due ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and paid it on XX/XX/XXXX. That was only 9 days past the due date and was not more than 30 days late. I have attached proof of my payments to reflect that I have never paid any payment more than 30 days late.

Consumer Complaint: I was looking into getting beauty treatments with XXXX in XXXX, IL. The representative mislead me to believe that it would only be a soft pull with my credit and that I would be charged on a " as you receive the service '' basis. At the end of the conversation after she had explained this, I told her that I did not want to move forward with their services because I felt like she was incredibly misleading as to how the payments would work, and that it is completely wrong to saddle someone with nearly {$5000.00} before they have even received your services. She responded saying that she was sorry that I felt that way but that everything was in writing. She purposely rushed me through everything and when I expressed some serious concerns she did not care in the slightest ( as referenced above ). I have now been sent a bill on XX/XX/2023 for {$4800.00} from XXXX XXXX, and I have no appointments scheduled with this business and have received no services from them. This is completely and utterly unethical. I would like to see if I can get this removed from my credit report immediately and get this business to do the right thing by removing this bill.

Consumer Complaint: I was approved for a Comenity Capital Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX. I received the card and tried to activate it. They wouldn't activate it until I sent them front and back photos of my driver 's license and social security card, as well as proof of residence. I refused and asked them to close the account immediately. They would not do so. My last conversation was with a supervisor named XXXX. He said they would close it after XXXX days or so. I told him that was unacceptable. I did not want a credit instrument with my name to be open against my wishes. He refused to help.
