Consumer Complaint: I opened a credit card account with Big Lots in 2016 my credit limit was very high. I also had an account with XXXX XXXX as well. I make my payments for both Big Lots and XXXX XXXX XXXX Comenity Bank for my payments. Big Lots I have auto pay and XXXX I have paid them off. Comenity Bank when asked about why my credit limit was lowered, XXXX XXXX of the customer service reps said to me, it was because of my credit score. I called back to see what another customer service rep would say if I asked the same question. The next time I called I got Destiny, who said that Comenity lowered my credit card limit because of my credit card score. Comenity teaches their customer service reps to LIE. It is funny when I paid off XXXX XXXX and I told the customer service rep to close it, because I really didn't like the makeup. The next thing I know they lowered my Big Lots credit limit, I thought that to be very odd. The LIE these 2 customer service reps XXXX and Destiny told me because of my credit score, when my score is over XXXX makes me very angry. I pay more than I am suppose to pay, and my balance doesn't go down much. By now it should have been paid off. Comenity is a very crooked bank to deal with and they teach their employees to tell LIES. From the complaints I have read I see I am not alone. They should be closed down from being unfair to the XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: The card was opened in the beginning of XXXX. This was opened with out my knowledge. I received the card in the mail. I then called and reported the identify theft. I also contacted the Federal Trade Commission, they sent a letter to XXXX as well. Still no response. I contacted the three credit bureaus and filed fraud. They have removed everything from my credit report. I Still have not heard anything from XXXX. There were two other credit cards opened in my name that same day. Those companies sent me letters stating the accounts were closed stating it was indeed fraud. I now have a freeze on my credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: I payed off my account with Comenity bank before my special 6 months no interest and they continue to charge and harass me. It started with them losing my money orders in their facility for a MONTH! During that time I called repeatedly to fix the issue and I kept getting brushed aside. That was in XXXX here I am halfway through XXXX getting called for money for interest I was assured would not be accrued and what was accrued would be cleared. Between the first week of XXXX and now I have spent XXXX hours on the phone with these conmen and Im currently on a call that has lasted over XXXX minutes that they initiated and have now placed me on hold without permission and are currently trying wait me me out and make me hang up. I have received dozens of false promises about them reviewing my account and calling me back, they dont give me their names, they pass me from supervisor to supervisor and there are thousands of stories like this their reviews are XXXX star from over XXXX people because this company harasses and frauds their clients consistently! This is a huge issue and I would love to start a class action but I have no clue where to go so here I am hoping the CFPB is my solution.

Earlier this year, after paying off the balance, a low dollar interest charge racked up months in fees- without notice- and I did not notice until my credit score was dinged. Now, unaware that I had a balance ( zero emails, texts, calls, mail ), I have found out I am late again - only to find out after reporting to the credit bureau. I have worked very hard and have a perfect payment record except for this unnecessary blemish and am devastated.
