Consumer Complaint: My identity has been used to open a credit card with Victorias Secret ( Comenity Bank ) for the third time now. I have disputed this two times in the past. This most recent time, I did not catch the alert soon enough ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and opened a business in the last two months ). Now my credit score has dropped XXXX points from past due balances. The fact that the bank has allowed the use of my identity THREE times is absurd. I have never and will never hold a card with this company. Also, I have had my credit frozen for the past year except for a few choice days. I am not sure how they were even able to process the credit check. Most recently : Account opened XX/XX/2023 Amounts owed : {$95.00}

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Consumer Complaint: My grandson purchased a {$50.00} XXXX XXXX gift card with cash at the XXXX, RI XXXX on XX/XX/2023. It would not activate, I tried repeatedlt to contact XXXX XXXX to no avail. I searched on line for XXXX XXXX card help. I called the number and the man I spoke with said he could help but he would have to put the credit on my XXXX account because my grandson ( XXXX yrs.old ) was a minor. I agreed to that. I gave him my XXXX account to do that. I repeatedly asked him if he worked for XXXX. He replied yes each time. Then I see several charges on my XXXX XXXX card in the amounts of {$100.00} and {$99.00}. I called the credit card company immediately. They agreed that the suspicious charges totaled {$1000.00}. XXXXis the name of the merchant making charges on the account. I also received a call from XXXX XXXX notifying me of suspicious charged. They resolved the issue ( credit and new cards ) within XXXX hours. I looked further and they also made charges on my XXXX credit card. XXXX responded the same as XXXX ( resolved within XXXX hours ). XXXX was also hit for {$300.00}. They contacted me and immediately reversed the charges through XXXX XXXX for that amount. XXXX XXXX XXXX is still dragging this out for 2 months. The amount remaining is {$690.00} Fraud is saying it is a dispute and dispute is calling it fraud. I have spent several hour over these 2 months tring to resolve to no avail. I also made the knowingly futile attempt to complain to XXXXThat is why I am asking for help from a higher source.

Issue: Improper use of your report

Consumer Complaint: The debt collectors who put unauthorized inquiries on my credit reports. The creditor of these inquiries did used misconduct and fraud while invading my privacy because I did not give them permission to pull my credit, nor did I give them permission to allow others to pull my credit at the same time. I did not give them written nor any permission AT ALL. The FCRA states it is against the law to report anything on my credit report that I did not authorize or want to be or should be not there!! I reached out through dispute XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX inquiries with XXXX that were not authorized, nor had my signature or anything to pull my credit and the investigation came back in one day from XXXX stating that this remains the same. How dare they come back in a day without any investigation with no change or deletion. Their bad tactics and incompetence behavior to help the customer is appalling. This was not authorized none of the inquires I disputed on all credit reports. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY OF THESE INQUIRIES,

Consumer Complaint: I paid the balance on my credit card late. ( I thought it was due on the XXXX ( XXXX ) but it was due on the XXXX. ( {$84.00} ) When I went to payed it off I selected pay the entire balance but it didn't say that I had a late fee ( {$30.00} ) or of course I would've payed it then. I already made an account when I payed the balance off but it wasn't working. I called them and I had to make another account. I paid the late fee and was told I would be charged another late fee because I only paid off the balance and not the first late fee when it didn't show up on my statement online. I explain this to the customer service representative and explained that I would not pay another late fee and she told me oh well.

Consumer Complaint: During vision XXXX, I signed up for an Alpheon Credit Card in order to take advantage of a promotion. Both the medical practitioner as well as the credit company represented to me that this promotion would allow me to pay the balance of my XXXX costs ( approx. {$4000.00} ) interest free over XXXX years. Thereafter, every month, I would receive an email reminding me that I had an upcoming payment. I was expecting to make such a payment on a monthly basis and understood that they would have divided the {$4000.00} balance owed over a period of 36 months and charge me for that amount each month. My vision XXXX was in XXXX. My expectation was that the payments would continue until XXXX. When I last checked my account, I realized that the the company had started charging interest in XXXX, including a lumpsum interest in the amount of $ XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for failing to pay off the balance of the card. Thereafter, Alpheon began charging monthly interest in the amount of $ XXXX every month, even though I believed that I was still on the promotional timetable. My understanding is that Alpheon, both in making the initial promotion, as well as during the course of the promotion, intentionally and/or fraudulently made representations that were untrue regarding the terms surrounding the promotion. Alpheon also failed to keep me apprised of the status of the payments, or that interest was being charged. Furthermore, Alpheon failed to warn or otherwise make clear that a lumpsum interest payment ( accrued as of that date ) would be charged if the balance on the card was not paid off by a certain date. Alpheon had my email and phone number, and failed to make any reasonable effort to clarify and/or explain the upcoming charges. It is my belief that Alpheon intentionally attempted to make difficult to assess or otherwise concealed the interest charges in the hopes that consumers would not notice. Had I not confirmed and calculated the remaining amounts owed on this account, it would have taken me 15 years, making the minimum payment, to pay off the balance, and Alpheon would have charged nearly {$6000.00} worth of interest on top of the initial cost of the procedure.
