Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Sent card you never applied for
Consumer Complaint: At the register I stated to the cashier I already had a credit card and needed my account to be looked up since I did not have my physical card in my possession. The cashier prompted me to type in my SSN which is normal for an account look up. I repeated to the cashier I already had a card once again. The screen prompt asked me for my income which once more had me tell the cashier I do not want a new card I already have one. He typed in something for the question of my income on my behalf without my permission as he assured me he cancelled the application. Now I received a credit card in the mail. I repeatedly stated to the cashier I did not want a card and did not want to apply as I already posses an old navy credit card.

Consumer Complaint: I have a XXXX XXXX credit card XXXX which was CLOSED BY CONSUMER in XX/XX/2022 pursuant to my phone call made to Barclays. Barclays has willfully violated the FCRA by failing to promptly report the account as CLOSED BY CONSUMER on my credit reports. My credit reports for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX still inaccurately list my account as OPEN. Even though I have a perfect payment history ascribed have never been late, I demand statutory damages of {$1000.00} for willful violations of the FCRA for failing to timely report my account to any CRA as CLOSED BY CONSUMER as required. I therefore DISPUTE any stale balance which is now {$0.00} after providing a credit of {$1000.00} for statutory damages. Therefore, I demand that my credit reports contained the required caption of Account DISPUTED BY CONSUMER and that the closed and disputed captions remain permanently on my credit reports even if Barclays disagrees so that additional willful violations can be avoided.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, a fraud alert was emailed to me shortly after midnight from Barclaycard ( document submitted as part of complaint ). When I logged into Barclaycard, I saw transaction details for {$310.00}. The details referenced XXXX and a vendor named Pandakajiyo ( document submitted ). When I logged into XXXX, it showed a vendor name that I couldn't read ( document submitted ). I filed a dispute, as I had never done business with the merchant that XXXX listed. I also began receiving a large number of spam messages suggesting my XXXX had been hacked. I changed my password to XXXX as a precaution and spam messages subsided. On XX/XX/XXXX, Barclaycard sided with the seller on my dispute. Their reasoning was that the seller supplied some details. The details give no information as to what was supplied. In fact, it only gives vague statements ( document submitted ). We received no goods or services from the company, and at this point are still unsure what the XXXX vendor listed on the Barclaycard statement provided is or what it does. We have maintained continued contact with both Barclaycard and XXXX. Neither of them are able to help with this. In summary, our XXXX was hacked and our Barclay credit card charged for something we never purchased. Neither Barclay, nor XXXX has been able to help us. It has been almost XXXX weeks now.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I applied for and was approved for a Frontier credit card through Barclays with implied immediate {$200.00} statement credit as well as XXXX miles bonus. However, upon returning from Barclays to XXXX it turns out this is not the case. After calling Barclays it turns out this is a bait and switch. You have to wait for the physical credit card to actually book and get a {$200.00} statement credit. This is misleading advertising.
