Consumer Complaint: I am a college student from XXXX XXXX. I opened a bank account from Bank of America and I deposited a fake check of {$2400.00} in late XXXX, 2022. I was looking for a replacement to take over my apartment lease but the person turned out to be a scammer. Of course, I realized right after I deposited the fake e-check and the money bounced back right away. In about 6 months, in early XXXX, Bank of America suddenly closed my bank account which still has money of about {$1100.00}. I have been trying to talk with BofA customer service, but they always keep telling me to just wait until they finish their investigation and they always say how long it will take. I have been calling them for the past three months, they always answer the same thing. I am graduating and going back to XXXX XXXX in XXXX. If I can't get my money back by then, I have to lose my money since I have to seek a job in XXXX starting XXXX. I did not do anything wrong but deposited a fake check from an unknown person. The money just bounced back right away so I've never been able to use any amount from the fake check. But bank of america closed my bank account without any notice and also reported me to XXXX system and still hold my money not giving my money back. This is unfair. They do not talk with me always read the lines saying " wait ''.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2023, Bank of America sent me advertising for a 0 % interest XXXX credit card. I applied, got approved, did a balance transfer to another higher rate credit cards, and used it for some purchases. All went well and no purchases was charged interest. Just like all the other cards with 0 % interest that I have. In XX/XX/2023, Bank of America sent me another advertising, this time for a 0 % interest XXXX card with XXXX XXXX. They put me through the exact same application process and screens, I got approved, set up another balance transfer and started to use the new cards because it was 0 % interest just like the other cards they just sent me. Now, I got the bill from the XXXX card and they are charging me over 20 % interest on all the purchases I made. So, today, XX/XX/XXXX, I call customer support and they told me that they could not do anything about the misleading advertising and sequence of events in which they tricked me into thinking I was getting the same deal as the first XXXX card they offered me. So I asked to open a complaint and to give me a case number, they said there was no way to open any complaint that all they could do is write my concern in their notes and that the responsibility to read the contract, their fine prints and misleading financial jargons was on me. So I asked for the advertisement that they sent me with the huge 0 % rate on it to see if that had clearly explained that there would be charges for purchases and only the balance transfer was part of the promotion. They said they don't have any way to give that information and there is nothing else I could do to dispute those charges and that was all my fault for assuming that the previous card, with the exact same application process, was not the same promotion as the second card. So then, I started to record XXXX XXXX XXXX, who gave me these responses and asked him to repeat all of them, he did and then told me he could connect me with the marketing department, which I said yes please connect me with the marketing team, so he gave me a sarcastic good bye and put me on a automated system that had no options to talk to anyone in the marketing department and the call was disconnected. I have the recording available if you need. Your side does not allow for large files to be uploaded so I couldn't attach it here.

Consumer Complaint: I received a bank statement from BofA in XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately called a reported this. I let the fraud department know I received the card and had not even activated it. This was not my transaction. In XX/XX/XXXX I received another bill with a letter indicating that the findings concluded I was responsible for XXXX dollars. I called and spoke to them again and the fraud case was reopened. To make this story short, Ive spent hours on only days off dealing with them. It is XX/XX/XXXX and Im still calling to get this figured out. I was told there was a balance transfer via XXXX and that I was responsible to pay this. I requested documentation for the the transaction and received a blank page. The second time I received a carbon copy of documentation that had everything whited out. The third time I received nothing. This company has began reporting to the XXXX that Im behind 30 days while maintaining an ongoing investigation. This is a violation of FDCPA standards and regulations, a violation of my rights.

Consumer Complaint: I called Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX to make payoff of loan. Spoke with customer service who provided me with a pay off of {$9100.00}. Now the bank states I owe them {$110.00}. Starting XX/XX/XXXX my balance was XXXX my interest per day was at {$5.00} per day. XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$380.00} bringing my balance to {$18000.00}. XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$10000.00} on principle bring my balance down to {$8900.00} and my % to {$2.00} per day. XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$9100.00}. giving me at credit of {$110.00}. Now from XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX there where 35 days @ {$2.00} per day= {$80.00} interest from XXXX. Also BofA states I got a NSF of {$25.00} Total {$100.00}. Being I had a credit of {$110.00} - {$80.00} int % - {$25.00} NSF fee= {$5.00} Credit. Bank of America state I owe them {$110.00}. Which is incorrect based on all the numbers I was given on a recorded line with XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX till XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023. I drove to a Bank of America ATM after cashing a check from XXXX XXXX so I wouldn't get a 10 day hold. I deposited XXXX hard earn cash in the ATM, it only recognized {$2300.00}. I touch the button to continue to make more deposits and deposited {$400.00} it had returned to me. After that deposit the machine instantly went into an error and gave me a receipt to call electronic claims. I called and was told there would be an investigation up to 45 days but my account would be credited within 48 hrs. Well 48 hrs has passed now they are saying the amount is to much to credit me back. Clearly everything is on video it should take so long for me to have access to cash.Never will I put that much cash into an ATM Bank of America always give me a hard time.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, my wife and I used a Bank of America ATM XXXX XXXX ) located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA and made a cash deposit of {$7000.00}. The ATM only recognized {$300.00} and ate the rest of the money. We were told to file a claim and it can take up to 45 business days for the final resolution. We were in the process of selling our car. The buyer gave me {$7000.00}. We were hoping that the ATM would process the bill before we can close the deal with the buyer. Because of this issue, we are now in a very awkward position. The buyer is pressing us to sign the title to complete the transaction. Meanwhile, we dont have the money in our pocket. We dont want to proceed until we get the final confirmation ( not a temporary credit ) that the $ XXXX is secured. By any chance, will you be able to help escalate the issue such that we can get the issue resolved by BofA asap? Waiting for 45 business days is too much for us. Your help is very much appreciated! The Account is completely fictitious. Plus The Bank Can Create XXXX 's XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Ending In : XXXX ATTENTION : CFO TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN : I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE ALL CURRENT AND BACK UNEARNED INTEREST that was received when I open the account using my social security number obtaining a loan on my behalf the BENEFICIARY/TRUSTEE/LENDER so once you guys BORROWED the money from me... The BORROWER. XXXX from the TRUST ACCOUNT and borrowed money to create stocks and bonds connected to the social security. With that being said then ALL ACCOUNTS can not be REFUSED or CLOSED without my written permission the ONLY beneficiary/trustee of the account. The bank became a A REAL PARTY AND INTEREST TO THE ACCOUNT once they accepted my social security number NOT EIN NUMBER but social security number and open the account. Buy refusing to pay me fiduciary of the account they are defrauding me as well as the government. That means the gain the money by false pretense. With the intentions of defrauding the goernment as well as me. I was told ONLY the Secretary of State could create DBA but I see that Bank of America was acting a Secretary of State of Arizona there's no such name with the ARIZONA SECRETARY STATE. Because I don't have a DBA XXXX XXXX nor was no {$730.00} less known XXXX plus ever was credited to my account then that would explain why I could no longer access my online banking information and when I called in no one could help me. Nevertheless the plot or scheme you'll chose to use to continue to DEFRAUD me. The bank did not have my express permission to shut the account down. I demand that the account be re-opened. Which they violated the TILA " Truth In Lending Act especially when they closed the account and since they have continued to receive money from that account that they " allegedly " claimed was closed and they NEVER gave me any of the unearned interest nor inform me that you'll was keeping it. And I was unlawfully blocked from access to the account. When again, I am the ONLY fiduciary ( BENEFICIARY ) over the account. So, I due to repeatedly being ignored I have already contacted the IRS and filed an ( 3949-A ) and requested an audit so that I can receive my proper REFUND and I have requested a ledger of balances and credits on the account which you'll have to refused to show AND JUST PATIENTLY WAIT on the political parties to change and they will. this I am sure of so .... im sure they will help BOA remeber their fudiciary obligations since they have forgotten. And is embezzleing money from the trust and keeping it all for themselves. The only thing that you'll show is the account information but not showing. WHAT YOU'LL REECIVED FROM THE " TRUST ACCOUNT from the government? I would like to ask AGAIN toput me back in right standing promptly and without delay within 15 days are less and if my request is not granted to me. So, again I have requested another audit due to you guys ' false pretenses. When in reality you'll had access to the TRUST ACCOUNT which means ALL my debt is pre-paid so I don't owe you guys anything you'll actually owe me. You'll are in violation of the TILA " Truth In Lending Act, when guys did not inform me that you will be withdrawing money from my TRUST ACCOUNT with interest. I will not let this go away you'll have robbed my ancestors and they died broke, yet they weren't. So, if you'll think THIS GENERATION is falling for it I am here to tell YOU that. Your sadly mistaken this is personal to me so I will not GO NOWHERE UNTIL I AM GIVEN WHAT I AM RIGHTFULLY DUE. I will be continuing to file a complaint with CPB for a paper trail you'll will not just push me to the side.
