Consumer Complaint: XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received multiple emails from Bank of America ( I am a current customer, mobile and desktop usage ). First email " Your Statement is ready, XXXX business account '' Second email " Verify your Email '' Third email " Welcome to Online banking, with your new account '' Forth email " Unable to Open your Online Account '' - This is when I contacted Bank of America and reported the activity. I was informed that an attempt to open an account had been made ; it was confirmed. However, no additional investigation would ensue beyond that point, because the account was never actually " Opened '' per their standards. So I received a follow-up email with " Tips and Tricks '' for responding to fraud on your own as a citizen. It was useful - I followed the email 's suggestions and it reminded me that this happened same time last year XXXX have the old FTC reports saved, credit freezes are in place for me since XX/XX/XXXX. So, this is a pattern officially, and I want to increase my protections ( if such a thing is even possible ) I want to get a deposit account review for my XXXX also! The XXXX was the newest resource for me; led me to this form at the CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: I had an XX/XX/XXXX loan back in XXXX. I did a loan modification and the 20 % loan in the amount of $ XXXX went away around XXXX. In XXXX I tried to work with the debt collector XXXX, XXXX as this debt was very old and I no longer owed it. I had to sell my home in XXXX and they had a lien on my property for $ XXXX. They took my money from the sale of my home. How did it go from $ XXXX to XXXX. This left me in major financial bind. I called XXXX crying and they didn't care. I wasn't able to complete the sale of my house until they got the money. This was a great rip off, it wasn't fair and I would like you all to look into this so I can get my money back. I am a XXXX minority and I did some research and found out that many of us were treated the same way, today the CFPB did a press release also talking about the same thing! My family and I were treated so unfairly and this was simply a money grab for them. Almost like a knife to my throat.

Consumer Complaint: I found a weird transction and the amount was {$4.00}. I tried to get in contact with XXXX and one of their employees blocked the line and asked me to download an app and the hacker ( one of the XXXX staff ) has gained control of my phone and is monitoring it, accessing my personal information and making unauthorized transactions. The transactions amounted to {$2000.00} and {$8800.00} respectively and occurred in CA, but I am based in New York as an international student attending courses. I NEVER WENT TO CA and do not know anyone living in CA and have only transferred money to XXXX individuals with a small amount of money before. It is crucial to note that I did not authorize any money transfers, especially for the amount {$8800.00}. I attempted to contact the bank regarding the unauthorized transaction of {$8800.00}, but they informed me that I either carried out or authorized the transfer, despite my certainty that I did not. As soon as I noticed the pending transaction on the app on XX/XX/XXXX, I requested that the bank block it immediately. Unfortunately, Bank of America did not comply, resulting in the transaction being completed. This has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Can you assist me in resolving this matter? BTW, the hacker 's phone number is XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I was issued a treasury refund check from the Federal Government for {$17000.00} on XX/XX/2023 with an initial hold until XX/XX/XXXX. I was patient regarding the initial hold they placed on a treasury check, but now I am frustrated as they extended it to XX/XX/XXXX. I went on tcvs.fiscal.treasury.gov ( which my wife, who works in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, says is common practice ), and the check was marked as paid- which means it has cleared to Bank of America. Never in my life have I had a problem with treasury checks. They are usually made available the same or the next day - and the fact that the reps are unwilling to escalate this issue to help me is nonsensical. Is Bank of America struggling- are they next to collapse? This is genuinely concerning. Please Help!

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2022, Bank of America authorized an individual on to my business bank account, without notification to myself of any kind and proceeded to allow them to sign up for ACH transactions to XXXX XXXX showing my name as the Transaction description. A total of seventeen transactions took place over the next four months, totaling a monetary loss to my account of {$35000.00}. Since this initial dispute, both Bank of America and XXXX XXXX have documented admittance to these transactions being fraudulent and not be condoned, signed by, or authorized by me. Both companies have been continuously difficult and negligent with their due diligence to help me recover my funds, or release information of the individual who committed grand larceny within my account, or taken responsibility for allowing these transactions to take place, unannounced to me until I caught the transactions myself. I have spent countless hours, days, weeks, trying to battle these FDIC insured businesses to give me my money back or the information of the individual. They have told me excuses like I found out too late, or they cant, due to privacy laws, release their information. Well, Bank of America finally did. I was given the name of the individual they allowed into my private, business bank account, and allowed to take almost $ XXXX of my money in four months. With that being said, not only did Bank of America allow this criminal to get onto my account without notification, they admitted it was fraudulent, told me they couldn't release their info, and now just did. So there are a number of things that need to be address and multiple suits that need to happen. Aside from the larcenist who needs to be jailed for this fraud, Bank of America also needs to be held responsible for the action they took to let them get onto my account, steal my money, lie to me about it, belittle me for it, and now deny to give my money back that they released. I have called lawyer after lawyer, police, news stations, the Attn General office. I finally sent a demand letter to both Bank of America and XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to respond with answers to my questions or return my funds. Return receipts showing those banks received those letters on the XXXX and XXXX of this month. I have no idea why this has been such a nightmare when these Federal Institutions hold an oath to uphold honest and fair banking to us consumers and I am getting no help. I have documents, proof, statements, even the name of the criminal and still, no one is helping get my money back. I have attached the demand letter that was sent to the bank with relevant attachments including all the fraudulent transactions, the letter from XXXX XXXX and Bank of America, and the attachment Bank of America sent me with the criminals name showing on my account, as STILL ACTIVE.
