Consumer Complaint: We had our mortgage payment processed through Autopay, initial XXXX payment made on the XXXX. A second payment was made by B of A on the XXXX creating an overdraft which has been cascading since. Auto payments have been sent and rescinded on 3-4 of our accounts needing to be payed. The bank keeps telling us that we had two payments in Auto Pay for the mortgage. If that was the case they should have been payed concurrently not 4-5 days apart. Resolving this has been difficult due to the XXXX holiday which has a similar feel to the algorithmic problems of the overdraft problems created a dozen or so years ago. I digress, if we had mistakenly put an additional payment to our mortgage company and mistakenly did not properly delete it the second mistaken payment would have been for the old amount not the new amount paid in XXXX. Also every time we call in we have to start the whole process over and still can not get back the money that was taken out of the account. We are now entering more than a week we have been backing here for 30 plus years but will no longer in the future.

Consumer Complaint: On Monday XX/XX/XXXX I deposited {$5200.00} in cash and a check for {$2300.00} at the ATM of Bank of America located at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX MA. After depositing the money the machine shut down and I was unable to get a receipt. I called the number on the ATM and after waiting a while got connected to a person. The person explained that they would do some research and I would get a temporary credit to my account within 48 hours. I waited until Thursday XX/XX/XXXX and there was no credit to my bank account. I called the bank and after waiting on hold was eventually put in touch with a representative. The person after a while said she could see no pending credit and transferred me to the fraud department. After waiting on hold again I finally got a representative who then told me that it takes 10 business days to get a temporary credit. I was so mad. I told him that his colleague two days earlier had told me on a recorded tine that I would have the credit in 48 hours. I also asked him why it takes 10 days to balance an ATM machine, there was a camera over the ATM which clearly showed me making the deposit and this to me is completely unacceptable.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, between XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I deposited a total of {$4900.00} into the Bank of America ATM IDXXXX XXXXXXXX ( check ATM camera ) located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX CA, of that amount the ATM only accepted {$3600.00} and returned {$1300.00} back to me. I attempted to redeposit the remaining {$1300.00} multiple times ( XXXX times ), every time I inserted the money, the ATM would try to count the money making the fast-ticking counting sound and returning the money back to me. On the XXXX attempt, the ATM did the same action, the fast-ticking counting sound, and the the insert money window tried to open multiple times making a strange sound and suddenly the screen turned off, kept my {$1300.00} deposit, and displayed a message to contact Bank of America because the ATM is temporarily unavailable. I immediately called Bank of America to report this matter. On XX/XX/XXXX, I get a message in my banking app with the resolution We adjusted your claim because we received {$100.00} in cash for your deposit. Since we gave you a temporary credit, well debit your account {$1200.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. This resolution is NOT ACCEPTABLE because I deposited {$1300.00} on that ATM before malfunctioning and I do not know how investigators do their job. I went to the location where those ATM machines were and they are no longer there, I spoke to the employees on site, and they said that the XXXX was broken-in and that these ATM machines were stolen.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024 I made a {$50.00} XXXX from my an external bank account to my Bank Of America Checkings account. This money was received into my account and I have attached a copy of the email stating it was received into the account. Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue: Changes in loan terms during or after closing
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX XXXX we purchased a home. It consisted of two mortgages being serviced by Countrywide Home Loans Inc ; they designated [ XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX as nominee for their successors and assigns. Countrywide Home Loans Inc ended up being involved in a lot of deceitful and unethical practices ; as a matter of fact, because we were young and for the most part, clueless about the financial aspect of home ownership, my wife and I were goaded into having two mortgages on the property. The loan agents also assured us that having two mortgages was a temporary solution and we would be able to refinance both mortgages into one mortgage within a couple of years of maintaining the mortgage. In XXXX XXXX XXXX we sold that home. The day before settlement we were alerted by a real estate agent via the title company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that there was an open mortgage on the title. As it turns out Countrywide Home Loans Inc never assigned the second mortgage to any other entity even though the first mortgage was assigned numerous times. So either they neglected to assign the second mortgage over due to all their unscrupulous and deceptive practices or they wrote it off as a means of their incarceration agreement and neglected to issue a clearance of it.
