Consumer Complaint: I received an email to my college student email regarding a job offer on XX/XX/2023. They gave me two sign on bonus check for {$950.00}. I deposited the first one and it took about 3 days for it to go through to Bank of America. A few days later, I deposited the second check but when I found out they were fake, I went straight to the bank to cancel it. I let them know it was fake but they would not allow me to cancel it. On XX/XX/2023, I left my phone at a restaurant close to campus. I went to class and realized it was missing. I went back for my phone and later that night I realized someone had hacked my XXXX and sent themselves {$800.00} leaving my bank in the negative. I have two phones and Bank of America will send me notifications to my other phone when I make big purchases or transfers. They did not send me a notification to authorize the {$800.00} transfer. I drove to the nearest ATM and withdrew {$1000.00} out of the {$2500.00} that I had in my savings. That was all the bank allowed me to withdraw. Out of fear of the remaining balance being taken, I XXXX the remaining balance to my brother. That time I did receive a notification to my other phone from Bank of America but did not for the initial {$800.00}. One of the reasons I am filing this claim. I filed a police report ( XXXX case # XXXX ) and sent it to my bank and filed a claim with them for fraud to get reimbursed. I asked for my account to be frozen so I can still get my work study check and get reimbursed for the unauthorized {$800.00} charge once the claim went through. They ended up closing my account and keeping two of my work study paychecks. I had asked for a bank statement to see if the school still had my work study paycheck but both paychecks showed up on the statement. I called the XXXX Bank of America Fraud line to check the status of my claim and they told me my claim was closed and that they would not be able to reimburse me. I asked them to reopen the claim and they did. I called again Monday, XX/XX/2023 to check the status and they had closed it again but said their investigation takes 60 days and that they would email me updates via email. I am filing this claim because they did not send me a notification to authorize the initial {$800.00} XXXX transfer. Every time I call to get an update I am given the runaround and told different things. I am also filing a claim because when I first opened my account I declined the overdraft protection so I would not be left in the negative if I did not have funds in my account. At the time the {$800.00} that was taken, I did not have that balance in there but the bank still allowed it to be taken leaving me in the negative. Even though Bank of America closed my account they are not declining my work study pay checks. They are taking them to pay the negative balance that was from the fraudulent transaction. I have since opened a different account and my new direct deposit for my work study has gone through but I would like to for the negative balance to reversed plus get reimbursed for my two work study paychecks they kept.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a quality of product/service dispute with Bank of America for a purchase made with XXXX XXXX of XXXX on or around XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$1500.00}. I attempted to resolve the issue with the merchant to no avail. In fact, on XX/XX/XXXX, I provided Bank of America with an email thread regarding my communications with the merchant. See enclosed. Visa regulations allow consumers 120 days to dispute a transaction for quality of product/service. Although the dispute with Bank of America was filed 115 days following the date of delivery ( XX/XX/XXXX ), and 114 days after the date the transaction posted - Bank of America closed my dispute and alleged that the dispute fell outside the timeframe. See enclosed. Additionally, Bank of America never provided a provisional credit.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing regarding unauthorized ACH transactions with Bank of America on my business checking account. The charges were made to the company " XXXX XXXX, '' which I understand to be an online gambling site. The unauthorized charges were made between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Bank of America and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX after becoming aware of the problem. I became aware of the situation after multiple other accounts with Bank of America, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX 's ( XXXX XXXX ) were compromised similarly. I called XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to report the problem and emailed their legal department. I called Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX and again on XX/XX/XXXX to report fraud and asked them to put a hold on my account. Bank of America assured me they would investigate the claim and asked me to complete a form documenting the unauthorized ACH transfers. I emailed these documents on the evening of XX/XX/XXXX to the address listed on the form. I called Bank of America to follow up on my claim on Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX, and was assured by the fraud representative that they were looking into it. After not hearing anything from Bank of America for over a week, I called again on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX. At this time, I found out that the claim had been denied or, as the phone representative told me, " not found in my favor. '' I asked if she could explain why it was denied, but she could not. She agreed to re-open my claim and asked me to fax a letter of appeal to the bank, which I did that evening. I still have not received any correspondence from the bank. My bank account remains frozen. My phone line has been disconnected, my website is at risk of being shut down, and I am losing money due to this problem. Not to mention I still have {$6000.00} missing from my bank account, and nobody seems to be able to do anything to help me. I never received a claim number ; I did not receive any letters or explanation regarding my claim, nor did I get any sort of temporary credits to my account while the claim was investigated. I plan on continuing to pursue this claim to the fullest extent. I have been a loyal customer of Bank of America since XXXX and trusted them to keep my money secure. I did not authorize these charges. This is an account used for business purposes and business purposes only. I am writing because I need help to understand my rights and what I need to do next to get my hard-earned money back.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Mortgage from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which originated on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX an Assignment of Deed of Trust ( attached ), prepared by Bank of America and executed on XX/XX/XXXX, was filed and recorded in the Official Records of the XXXX XXXX DC Recorder of Deeds.
