At XXXX Eastern Time I received an email that Bank of America had opened a Bank of America XXXX XXXX Banking Account in my name. I reported the fraud to Bank of America 's fraud department via their XXXX email address at XXXX and XXXX the same day for each of the respect emails.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I transfered XXXX from my XXXX business account to my bank of america account. I then drove to the store which is approximately 1 mile away I got gas and some snacks and stuff it came up to about XXXX dollars I used my bank of america debit card to pay when I swiped the card it declined I said that's not possible so I tried again same results so I opened the bank of america app and seen a pending transaction for XXXX XXXX dollars from XXXX XXXX. I then transfered the amount needed just to pay for my stuff when I get home I call the bank and explain what had just taking place I filed a dispute they said they would reimburse my money during the dispute process a couple days later I received a phone call from the bank saying they were closing my account I asked why they never gave me a reason they never even told me what was going on with my {$400.00} on this paper the dispute paper that I received in the mail well I dispute of the transaction for {$400.00} at the top they have XXXX I don't know why they have that I was disputing the XXXX transaction that I did not authorize so it's been around three and a half months I keep getting statements in the mail then they call me and tell me that on XX/XX/XXXX they're going to close my account fully out and send me a check for my remaining balance when they told me they were closing my account I switched my direct deposits and everything to another account I never received the check from my money for the {$400.00} I don't even know where the money went I don't know who took the money besides XXXX and so I work hard for my money and I just asking for these people give me my money back you can go and look on the IP addresses or if they did the proper investigation they would see that it I'd had nothing to do with this transaction nor did I authorized nor did I allow anybody to use my PIN number or password or anything like that there ain't no one person on the account and that is me I have not been able to get no resolution with them I've even requested the documents that made them make the determination to deny my claim I have a valid claim and I just asked that I get my {$400.00} back this was a fraudulent transaction and I ask that the person be found and punished.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted the Bank Of America fraud department for XXXX payments withdrawals from my account I did not authorize. XX/XX/XXXX I got a letter stating a decision was made XX/XX/XXXX in my favor that these withdrawals were fraud and a check would be mailed to me in the amount of {$3400.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I spent over an hour at the Bank of America XXXX PA branch updating my mailing address and trying to get a status update on the fraud reimbursement check I never received. The gentleman on the phone said a credit was made to a closed account and the money was in limbo. He thanked me for bringing this to the banks attention and I would recieve the check in 7-10days. XX/XX/XXXX I spend over 1.5hrs at the Bank of America XXXX PA branch with XXXX the branch manager trying to get an update in the same reimbursement check I still had not received. The final result that day was to return XX/XX/XXXX when the fraud department was open. I came in XX/XX/XXXX and after over an hour of department phone calls with the branch manager XXXX, we were told the check was going to be mailed that day, Monday XX/XX/XXXX. Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX I again entered the Bank of America XXXX PA branch to receive an update to the fraud reimbursement funds check. After over 2hrs of phone calls between departments the branch manager XXXX escalated my complained to her supervisors. I called XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to see if there was any update at which point she informed me the fraud department overturned their decision in my favor and I am no longer entitled to a reimbursement of fraudulent charges.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I opened a credit card with the Bank of America and since that, I set an auto payment with the total amount every month and had no single missing monthly payment with them or with other creditors in my whole life. My Statement balance on XX/XX/XXXX was {$7.00} and for some reason, the bank removed my auto payment so that amount was not paid as usual and I never know that. The following month ( XX/XX/XXXX ) the bank charged my account {$0.00} as interest for the {$7.00} that was not paid due to the removing the auto payment by the bank, and in XXXX they charged my account {$0.00} for the same reason without noticing me that my account has a problem that needs attention. When I realized that I paid the full amount immediately. The problem is that was reported to the three credit bureaus as a late payment for more than 30 days and that affected my credit score and has decreased by XXXX points for the late payment of just {$7.00} after dealing with that bank for XXXX years with no even single problem or delinquency. I contacted the bank to explain that was a mistake by them to remove my auto payment and I would never make a delinquent and destroy my credit history for just {$7.00}, they refused to solve the problem by sending any notice to the credit bureaus removing that and showing that was their mistake and not mine. I disputed that with the credit bureaus but they said the information that was reported to them by the bank is accurate and correct and they are not able to do something until the bank is sending them a notice saying that was their mistake. The bank made that mistake and I pay for it, they destroyed my credit score and my credit history for just {$7.00} while my credit line with them is {$5600.00} with a good standing and clean history, That is odd and ridiculous! I am asking you to investigate that and let the Bank of America send a notice to the three credit bureaus to remove the late payment from my credit history and fix my credit score that was affected by that. Thank you!

I immediately called their fraud department and they closed the account. But I only heard about this because the fraud used my real email address. If they had not I would have never known about it. I then got 3 more emails on XX/XX/XXXX, saying someone tried to open yet another account.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX files a claim with unemployment and i recieved one check from bank of america i filed claims after claims and the bank has not paid but 4 claims of mine then i have not recieved anything from them i called bank of america for over three years going back and forth with the bank i have filled police 5 reports i have sent 2 letters and copys of my id because the bank had no id for me so they did not know what i looked like the money was taken out of a bank i never ever used i wrote bank of america a letter and explained that to the bank well the other day i called up bank of america and asked to talk to claims i talked to a XXXX from texas he asked for me to give him the claims numbers i had i told him i have over 30 claims so he said to give him 5 at a time and i did that well after the second claim number he asked me to repeat the second claim number again i did he told me that was not my claim number it had belong to someone else it came up under some one elses name i told him how was that when i got the claim numbers from a person that worked at bank of america he said he was not sure but that it was not mine thats all he knows well a few days passed and i called up bank of america and there was a recording and it said that i could not talk to no one about claims until after XX/XX/XXXX that they where doing maintenance on the computer so we can call after XX/XX/XXXX after XXXXXXXX XXXX so i did and thats when they had told me that all my claims where paid and that they where marked off that someone signed them off but they where never paid so im asking you to please help me because they took all my unemployment

Consumer Complaint: I am a new customer of Bank of America. It's been about XXXX. I deposited my payroll check through ATM on XX/XX/XXXX. The payroll check is a Bank of America account too. The next day which is XX/XX/XXXX, my check is been on hold so, I went to the Bank of America branch and ask them to release my fund. But they said they can't release because my account is a new account. So, I complained about that because my company check was cleared that day. The check was on us check, that's why I thought they could credit the fund to my account immediately. But they said they can't because of the bank policy. The check will be available on XX/XX/XXXX. They gon na hold my check with 10 business day!! I can't pay my rent and utility too. How come they hold 10 business day the on us check even they took the money from my company account. I'm very upset and so sad. I think it's not fair!
