Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024, I sent a wire transfer from my bank account to a recipient whose account is on Bank of America. However, I made a small very understandable mistake when writing the name of the recipient, and Bank of America reversed this wire and charged an extra {$45.00} fee when refunding the amount back. I had no agreement with Bank of America on this and there were no warnings what so ever and it feels like my money was stolen, and they will not honor it back.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to bring your attention to a matter of significant concern regarding Bank of America 's misrepresentation of the status of my closed account with them. In previous complaints, Bank of America falsely claimed that the Department of Labor in the State of Maryland had 'froze " my closed account, which I had used to receive pandemic unemployment insurance. This misinformation has led to unnecessary distress and complications. After thorough discussions with three sworn state representatives in Maryland, it has been conclusively determined that the Department of Labor has not taken any adverse action on my account in XXXX or at any time since I started receiving unemployment insurance. Despite filing multiple complaints with the bank, I have encountered instances where I was either discouraged or outright prohibited by bank representatives from addressing these issues. This situation is deeply troubling, and I am seeking your intervention to rectify this matter promptly. I explained id just like to cash the check because I would like my funds same day. They ensure me I could just make minimum deposit to open checking account and I asked was it an opportunity account or a regular account. I had to talk to several people in the bank to cash a check that had supporting documents from law firm and it was a business day they could have called bank. It was definitely a case of discrimination. they offered right away to just close the account they convinced me to open because I'm not a part of the demographic they usually serve. Very unfortunate event.

Consumer Complaint: I have been a Bank of America customer 14 years. Inadvertently I underpaid the {$35.00} min pmt due XX/XX/24 by {$10.00} on XX/XX/24, card ending XXXX. The next statement I received for this card on XX/XX/24 stated a min pmt due of {$47.00} on XX/XX/24 including the {$10.00} underpayment. I received a XX/XX/24 letter stating my credit line on this card was reduced from {$8000.00} to {$2900.00}, evidently because I didn't pay the {$10.00} underpayment before XXXXThey also reduced my credit line on card ending XXXX from {$7500.00} to {$2100.00} on XX/XX/24. For that card I made a {$2400.00} on XX/XX/24 towards the {$44.00} min pmt due XX/XX/24 leaving a {$2000.00} bal due. To add insult to injury my XXXX cr score reduced from XXXX to XXXX and my XXXX cr score reduced from XXXX to XXXX on XX/XX/24 because of all the above. I have been grossly unfairly penalised by these abusive unreasonable actions taken by Bank of America. I ask you to help rectify these actions. I am XXXX years of age and have never been so unfairly treated by a bank.

Consumer Complaint: We have been defrauded by this unethical immoral company. Their malicious actions has devastated XXXX economically and emotionally. They do not present nor operate in the ethical manner they present themselves. They need to be shut down and cancelled and bid from operating for their inhumane treatment. They have created all sorts chaos and instability for my household which has lead to my mother currently hospitalization as they have destroyed her retirement income. They do not operate in the likes of a financial institution. A financial institution that upholds its core values should know to mitigate an issue in order to minimize economic impact. Rather this evil company intensified the issue and prevented us from flourishing and now offering a solution that doesnt amount to our losses using XXXX systemic injustice as the basis of the resolution. They need to be dismantled for the pain theyre inflicting upon my household. Bank of America has taken advantage of unfair rulings from the XXXX court systems to defraud us and have prevent us from flourishing economically. The means my mother provided to provide for my household : a property value at {$450000.00} for rental income and a startup online business of which I was saving money for marketing destroyed as I was removed from my position with XXXX XXXX and relocated several hours away for a position that they claimed I didnt meet qualifications. However, they went ahead to apologize for their mistake and offered an alternative position and when I reached out to the recruiter for details of the new position she acted as if she wasnt aware of the new positions offering and proceeded to tell me theyre not moving forward with any positions. This evil company along with their evil employees has destroyed our lives & has made it difficult for me to obtain employment due to my civil filings as several employers referring to my numerous filings. I now have XXXX toddler boys XXXX on the way and the means my mother put in place to provide for my family and her retirement the bank has destroyed and here we are struggling with the high cost of living and housing whereas we had a plan place to mitigate the issues we are now facing. Theres no reason we should be renting and struggling whereas we had a great economic growth plan in place. Please help, please help me bring this issue to light. Civil injustices are just as important as criminal injustices. This evil bank needs to be cancelled for their malicious actions and using XXXX court injustices to destroy our lives and avoid accountability for their actions. The court system ignored important evidence ( voicemail messages ) and contrived evidence to benefit the bank whereas the XXXX used the same evidence and ruled on my behalf which this immoral unethical bank has taken advantage of to defraud and prevented us from flourishing.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, while on spirit airlines website, a pop up ad from Bamk of America offering a credit card, a {$100.00} off if {$1000.00} is spent within the first 90 days with the ability of including the ticket being purchased that day toward the {$1000.00}. An additional {$100.00} voucher in the future and XXXX bonus points. I applied for the card and was instantly approved but an error in their system prevented the ticket from being purchased with the card. This was infuriating and effectively negated the entire deal for me, yet I was stuck. Endless calls and attempts to chat with Spirit Airlines as well as Bank of America were unsuccessful and after about a week of utter frustration and finger pointing between Spirit Airlines and Bank of America, I resigned myself to a useless credit card. In late XX/XX/XXXX, I decided to make a furniture purchase to at least get the {$100.00} promised by spending {$1000.00}. I achieved this but then, the furniture ended up on back order until XXXX and I cancelled the order. I then canceled the Bank of America/Spirit Airlines card and washed my hands of the entire thing. I continued to get statements from Bank of America with a negative {$100.00} balance. I called requesting they stop. The woman I spoke with around the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX told me I would be receiving a check for {$100.00} in the mail. I argued that this shouldnt happen because I had not earned it. The woman told me to just cash the check ; she said I had fulfilled the requirement by spending the {$1000.00}. I cashed the check feeling very odd about it, and put it behind me until I received an IRS XXXX XXXX from none other than Bank of America. With dread, I called the phone number on the document and sure enough, it was for cash awards for the {$100.00} as well as {$500.00} for their XXXX bonus points which could only be used with Spirit Airlines. This constitutes tax fraud as well as fraud toward consumers. I canceled this card. I did not get {$500.00} in cash or use the bonus points. Nothing from the beginning of this unfortunate ordeal has been honest. How many other consumers fell prey to this pop up ad and it is STILL being offered currently. And the final salt in the wound? It increased my tax liability by almost {$300.00} because of the {$600.00} income. I have an appointment with Bank of America locally to try to get them to change it but its likely going to be more wasted effort. Please make them stop this practice and make them pay their full tax obligations rather than deferring it to unfortunate customers who get scammed.

Near Gates XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$7500.00} of cash into the ATM, an error occurred with the machine. Cash was not returned. It didn't reach my checking account either. It just took my money. Here are the actions I took : 1. Called the number on the atm immediately : XXXX XXXX XXXX to report the incident. No one picked up as it was XXXX 's XXXX. XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, called the BoA customer center and reported the issue. Got a claim number : XXXX. They told me they would give me credit for the missing cash deposit. They also told me that researching would complete in 45 days. XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX, I visited a bank branch in XXXX XXXX WA to report the issue once more. They told me that ATM department is separate from the banking department, and there was nothing they could do for me. The banker tried calling internally, but no one picked up as it was late in EST. 4. Deposit didn't come through. No pending deposit sign. No credit granted. No further action taken by the bank. The status of the investigation is still " researching claim ''. 45 days of research is way too long for the amount of money at stake.
