Consumer Complaint: I am complaining that the bank branch was closed during regular banking hours. This created a significant hardship for me on a Saturday afternoon, right before the weekend. Today, Saturday, XX/XX/2023, I drove to the Bank of America branch located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, CA XXXX ( I drove a fair distance from where I was staying because this branch, according to the Internet, was one of the only Bank of America branches in XXXX XXXX that would be open today, on Saturday XXXX. I knew I needed to arrive well before XXXX, especially because I was intending to pay off my credit card, collect my remaining funds, and close my account. By the way, I have been a Bank of America customer for 50 years (! ), since I was XXXX XXXX XXXX, but I am now retired and XXXX and I have become frustrated that they will not give me a free or low-cost account. The only way to avoid most fees is to keep {$1500.00}. in my account. ) Note : This is a regular functioning branch and I have previously visited the branch as recently as one week ago. Their posted hours on XXXX are XXXX XXXX - XXXX XXXX. I walked up to the door at XXXX XXXX and was astonished to find the branch closed! According to my online research, today, XX/XX/XXXX, is NOT a recognized federal or bank holiday. I was super annoyed and upset to have taken significant time out of my day and to have driven a distance to get to this sole open branch on a Saturday afternoon. I needed to take care of my credit card payoff and cash collection TODAY for significant personal reasons, but was unable to accomplish my banking work due to this unexpected bank closure. Why was the bank closed at XXXX XXXX when it was supposed to be open until XXXX XXXX?

Consumer Complaint: My maternity leave began, and I was approved for benefits through the state of california. I was told to contact Bank Of America EDD card holder services, to inquire about the card I was to be recieving benefits on. When I began contact with BOA, I provided all of my natural born and true information, and was told I could not be verified and I needed to head into my local branch to provide forms of identification in order to gain access to my account. When gaining access to my account I was informed all the information was changed to information that did not belong to me, benefits were being recieved and spent on my behalf. I went through the process of filing a claim, it was filed in 2 different parts one for XXXX dollars and one for XXXX. After initially denying both claims, they approved the XXXX dollar claim but have yet to approve the XXXX claim. I have filed several grievences, complaints, and spent hours on the phone being reasssured that the claim would be properly investigated only to call the next day to find out they denied it without any further investigation. I have provided my ID as well as a copy of an Identity Theft Report in regards to these claims as well as multiple accounts opened in my name. I am being refused any coperation from the bank, when there is substantial evidence supporting my claim.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Bank of America 3 % credit card. It is currently carrying a balance from a 0 % transfer offer made last year. I made a purchase on XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$2500.00}. Because I have a carried promotional balance, they started charging me my purchase APR for my purchase on the same day that I made the purchase. As such, I was charged {$36.00} for interest for a purchase made within the same billing cycle of which the statement closed. I attempted to dispute this and they said that they're within their rights because there was a 0 % balance carried from the previous month.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Consumer Complaint: This regards my paycheck dated XX/XX/XXXX, amount of {$2500.00}. The paycheck was initially received and deposited to my Bank of America checking account on XX/XX/XXXX via mobile deposit in error. I immediately called Bank of America after I deposited the check and explained to the representative that I deposited it to that accoun tby error and amount to deposit it to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account. The representative told me that they would be able to take care of the reversal and that they could reverse the deposit once the check posts, advising me to call again when I see that the check has posted. Subsequently, I deposited the paycheck via mobile deposit to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account, when the debit adjustment was said to be done by Bank of America. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX rejected the deposit stating Returned Item XXXX XXXX XXXX to Maker. I did not notice that the check was rejected right away, but discovered that on XX/XX/XXXX, when reconciling my bank account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I then emailed and informed the payroll department of the issue and asked for a new check. However, the funds were not showing credited back to my companys XXXX XXXX account so they were not able to issue me a new check. I was advised to call both banks. I called the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, and the representative explained to me that it was a returned check due to the fact that it had already been deposited and had no funds. I then called Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX, in which a representative explained to me that it takes 5-7 business days for the funds to go back to my companys bank account. The representative put me on hold to speak with his supervisor, which advised him it was actually 3-5 business days for the money to be returned and that my company should receive the funds no later than XX/XX/XXXX. I then followed up with XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) regarding this, but he informed me that by XX/XX/XXXX, the funds were still not showing as returned. I waited a few days and called Bank of America back on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX and again explained what had been going on with this issue, which I was informed by the representative that the company should have received the funds by now and that they were returned. I informed XXXX that Bank of America said the funds had been returned, which he checked with XXXX XXXX also works for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) who also said she did not see a credit for that amount. After receiving the email conrmation from XXXX and XXXX that the funds were still not returned, I then called Bank of America back again on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a representative named XXXX. This gentleman said that since it was a live check, the funds were probably not returned to my companys bank account, but the funds stand with the check and advised me to redeposit the check if I still have it on hand. I did still have the check on hand and attempted to deposit it to Bank of America via Mobile Deposit, as advised by XXXX. Unfortunately, that did not work and the mobile deposit was rejected due to duplicate check deposit. I then called Bank of America back again and spoke with another representative named XXXX and explained again the situation to her. She suggested that the funds take about 15-30 days to completely go back to the companys bank account or the live check and to wait. I explained to her that this is my paycheck and I can not be delayed in having these funds available to myself, as I have bills that need to be paid immediately and that I have not had the {$2500.00} for over 2 weeks now. I asked her if it was 15-30 days in total or 15-30 business days, which she was unable to give me an answer for. I then asked to speak to her supervisor regarding this matter. She explained the situation to her supervisor while I was on hold, during the time which I called XXXX to put him on the call with the Bank of America supervisor. The Bank of America Supervisor, XXXX, joined back on the call and informed XXXX and myself that she did research and that the funds were returned. XXXX asked if XXXX if she could trace where the money went to and she told us she can not trace it. XXXX then told her that he had never heard of a bank not being able to trace where funds are sent, then she said the funds were sent back to an account ending in XXXX ( which is my company 's account ), however it was still not showing back to that XXXX XXXX account. XXXX, my XXXX XXXX asked me to write a statement to XXXX, which is our XXXX XXXX so that they could conduct a search on the credit. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX is still not showing the credit back from Bank of America and the accounting team at my company has still not shown any credit activity back to their account. It seems as if Bank of America is withholding my funds and I am unable to get anywhere with each representative I have spoken with, as every representative that I have spoken with has told me different information on each call.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I received a notification from Bank of America stating that there may be a fraudulent activity happening with my credit card. There were XXXX purchases made in a short sequence. I immediately reacted and reported these were not purchases made by us. They blocked our cards ( we had XXXX, me and me wife ). Within a few days, we received new cards and also in about 14 days the charges were credited. After that I didn't pay attention to the ongoing claim investigation as I thought everything was already resolved. Now the interesting part! On XX/XX/2023 our new cards were charged {$740.00} and {$1.00}. We also received a message from Bank of America that our fraud claim was resolved. I called them immediately and asked for explanation. They just told me that based on our shopping habbits the AI they have built into their claim resolution process decided that the XXXX transactions- both made online, {$740.00} at XXXX XXXX in XXXX and {$1.00} XXXX XXXX were made by us. I couldn't believe it! I am thinking that I immediately identified the fraudulent transactions when I received the notification and blocked the card but they are telling me now that I was the one who actually purchased the items. Called Bank of America, they apologized and told me they are going to review it again by a human being this time. A week later I received another claim resolution stating that we made the purchases. I immediately called them and they told me on the call that XXXX XXXX sent them the online order made by my wife and the address was matching with our home address. I asked them if they can send us the delivery proof because we never purchased it and never received the items. Waiting on them but this is truly outrageous! I don't understand how is this possible when I stopped the transactions the same day as I was notified but they still continued with the sale and are acting like they have the order saying our name and that is why we purchased it. Before - Bank of America does not offer fraud protection with their credit card and clearly does some suspicious business activity with merchants such as XXXX XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX!

Consumer Complaint: This is a follow-up complaint from a scam issue that started with a phone call on XX/XX/24. I did not answer, and the female left a voicemail message regarding fraud on my Bank of America account with a reference number and call back number. A letter was received as well regarding the need for additional information to complete a " credit application ' with the same date and reference number as in the voicemail message. Again, I did not respond as I knew it was fraud. I have credit score services with XXXX XXXX in addition to other accounts and they allowed " Bank of America '' to run a hard inquiry on my credit report and without my consent or knowledge also on XX/XX/24. Since my initial and previous complaints here with XXXX XXXX and Bank of America no one wants to accept any fault. I received another letter from " Bank of America '' on XX/XX/24 to please call them so they can help with " my credit card request and they need additional information ''. My credit report inquiry was done by a Bank of America in XXXX XXXX XXXX. This needs to be resolved and I can't call because my calls are probably being rerouted to the scammers. These people have my phone number, name, address and email and they must have part of my SS # as they did a hard inquiry on my credit report.
