Consumer Complaint: I received a check from XXXX XXXX, NV on XX/XX/XXXX for {$13000.00}. Bank of America is the bank that is listed on the check. At the time, I did not have a bank account that would accept a check larger than {$10000.00} so I had a friend deposit it into their checking account at XXXX XXXX The check was properly endorsed over to them and deposited into their account on XX/XX/XXXX, however, it was returned because you can not use mobile deposit for third party checks. A substitute check was issued as a replacement. We then properly deposited the substitute check in person, both of us present with photo ID on XX/XX/XXXX. This check was also returned because it was outside of the cash within 90 days period. Another substitute check was issued which at this point would be useless since it cant be re-deposited due to the date. I've been in touch with XXXX XXXX to have them reissue the check, but they're adamant that their records show it was successfully cashed on XX/XX/XXXX, which isn't the case. XXXX XXXX has been very helpful in this situation with providing whatever I need to show proof that the money was returned. XXXX XXXX won't budge without confirmation from Bank of America. Here 's where I need your help : since I'm not authorized on the account, BOA won't release the necessary information to XXXX XXXX. It's frustrating to think that a simple conversation could resolve this and get me the money I'm owed. I'm reaching out in the hopes that someone can assist in bridging this communication gap and finally get this check sorted out. Your support in getting BOA to provide this essential information to XXXX XXXX would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for considering my situation and offering your help.

He got into the account and transferred money to a card that I haven't been able to find fit to weeks and I had a feeling he XXXX. He then XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX took my car and left. I logged in and saw that money had been transfered and take out and spent. Local law enforcement is involved.

Consumer Complaint: My XXXX son checking account experienced fraud via atm w/d in XXXX Fl we live in XXXX ; we called BOA the first fraud claim was mishandled and not file correctly so 5 days later I had to call back and re-file the claim also request for the {$15.00} rush card fee to be reimburse that had not been reversed as promised. I also asked for provisional credit since my XXXX son was not in XXXX and had his card in his possession the entire time. I call today XX/XX/24 to follow up on the status of my sons claim and inquire about the ATM footage also offer to file a police report if needed and was told they could not provide me with information only to my son which is ridiculous since he is at school and again a XXXXyear-old XXXX and my name is on the account as joint account holder and the adult! Also, the representative slipped and stated they would take the provisional credit back XX/XX/XXXX because they said my son gave his card to someone, which is untrue since again only my son and me have access to his account and my son has the original debt still in his possession! I would like to mention that I recently left a XXXX career in the XXXX industry. Th representative did absolutely nothing to assist me resolving this matter and I find it disturbing as one of the largest banks in the United States. Let 's get back to taking care of people and doing things right in banking because without people placing their hard-earned money and applying for loans these intuitions would not be in existence especially in today 's world of up-and-coming XXXX companies. I WILL bring my complaints to media, our local government and state gov along with the state of XXXX banking commissioner office. XXXX

Consumer Complaint: The deposit was made on XX/XX/XXXX which was a holiday. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at this time I was told once the funds were verified, they would likely become available in a couple of days. I needed to pay a contractor. If not, I said I could cancel the check and go back to my credit union and get them from there. It was suggested I wait until Thursday. I waited until Thursday when I got attitude from several associates. The issue is when I contacted my other banking institution to make a stop payment, I was told the funds had already been debited from my account. Making me unable to go and retrieve them. Also, keep in my I have a HELOC from my credit union and deposited a check for {$7000.00} the previous week as I am getting work done on my home. This hold is extremely long for the funds to already have been removed from my account. They do not sit in the clearing house for 5-8 days. They will be released on XX/XX/XXXX as I have been told multiple times is ridiculous. The money is somewhere with B of A collecting some dividends until they decide to hand them over. Meanwhile, I have to keep calling my contractor apologizing explaining that also he is done and is owed his balance I am waiting for funds to be available with no reasonable explanation. Bank of America just has poor customer service. The branch that I have a personal relationship with could not even release the hold. They were very apologetic and said I should be made because it made no sense that the hold was that long.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, Bank of America approved me for a XXXX interest for 21 months card. I was never told by the bank that they were going to be charging any interest rates prior to 21 months. However, the bank imposed an interest rate that was not agreed upon or discussed with me. I took out the card because I was promised a 0 % interest rate for 21 months. In XXXX of XXXX, I submitted a complaint to CFPB. The outcome was that BOA agreed with my complaint. BOA has once again arbitrarily charged me an interest on my credit card, when I agreed to the refund, we agreed to extend the XXXX interest to XX/XX/XXXX. I am ready to pay whatever I owe, but only at XXXX interest rate, it seems BOA has a habit of ripping off its customers. As soon as BOA rectifies their mistake for a second time, I will resume my payments.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX of XXXX I contacted Bank of America let them know I was moving and to please not to send my check of {$7000.00} from the remaining balance of my closing Prepaid unemployment money card please not send the check to my old address I'm moving to a new place and I'll give them that information as soon as I get there I live in an RV so it's changing RV parks. They sent the check there anyways so I had to wait for it to go there get sent back then finally they receive it back this took months finally in XXXX of XXXX I received an email saying I needed to update my address with them so they could send the check out to me so I did that called the number on the email they sent me updated my address they told me it would be up to 40 days that's how long it normally takes for a closed account to get a check I asked him if they could expedite it please since I've been waiting since XXXX now for this check that I told you guys not to send to the wrong address but you did anyways they said they couldn't expedite it I said OK just please help me get it as soon as possible it's XXXX XXXX here not just a couple XXXX bucks they understood the dire need for the funds I called on the end of XXXX which had given them 30 days now I still hadn't received the check I didn't have my cell phone on me at the time the one that was registered with them to get their 2 step verification code so I couldn't pass their verification I was at work at the time in the mine fields so on that day the XXXX of XXXX the Lady Red flagged me which XXXX XXXX my account completely I literally after conversation multiple times with different supervisors and complaining about that lady I ended up having to fly back to XXXX go into a Bank of America branch show two forms of ID to get those red flags removed off the account this is after multiple phone calls of talking to multiple people and trying to get around having to fly back to XXXX anyhow XXXX now I went in with two forms of ID gave them my updated address again and asked them to please expedite the check if they could since it's been now three or four more months they said they couldn't expedite it whatever I told them I also had to fax over documents a piece of mail that I had received at my address to prove to them I did in fact lived here because my ID has my old address on it currently because it doesn't expire until XXXX so I didn't get a new ID with my new address on it because I just had moved here anyhow I sent them via email/fax A couple pieces of mail my old address and my ID and new address documents at least 5 or 6 times just to make sure they got it because I never heard back from them if they received them or not so now it's XXXX I've been told from four different people in the NSS department of Bank of America and card services that they personally would make sure my check got sent out and got here as soon as possible I still haven't received that check I've lost my storage unit with all my belongings I just got my 10 day notice 10 days ago to move out of my house XXXX was terrible XXXX XXXX XXXX was a joke this has cost me everything last week XXXX someone from the NSS Department or check services the head supervisor there told me that he apologized they sent the check to my address but didn't get the lot number correct so he canceled that check and sent me a new one this is the 5th or 6th time I've heard the same silly story I don't understand what the problem is at one point I had a supervisor tell me if I had a Bank of America account I could just transfer the funds into that I told her I didn't have one my girlfriend did and then she backpedaled and said oh no we can't do that why can't they just transfer the money to one of my other accounts any other account that I have I need my money I've lost everything in this is my last ditch effort to try and get someone to do what they're supposed to do and send me the remainder balance of my checking account funds if the account is closed up to 40 days is their policy it's been way longer than that I'm not asking for anything special I just want what's rightfully mine if they want to give me some extra on top of it for the pain and suffering that it's caused me that would be great but I can't count on them giving me the money they owe me I surely aren't gon na count on them doing anything extra please help me thank you

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America allowed a levy to be put against my savings account in the amount of XXXX The lien or levy was initiated by a lawyer, in XXXX XXXX, using whats called a confession of judgment. I knew absolutely nothing of this. Ive never received a summons or been notified in any fashion shape or form. Nothing of this has showed up on my credit report. Nothing after speaking to the law firm that actually initiated it is come to my attention that this is an identity theft situation. Someone has used my identity to apply for a merchant, cash advance, essentially forming a company and getting a cash advance from these people in XXXX XXXX and never paying it back. I have attempted to handle this with Bank of America without any success. Ive also sent the law firm the appropriate paperwork showing that I filed a police report for identity theft. They have told me I am out of luck and they dont care. Bank of America has told me that I have to handle it with the law firm that started it and I cant because they dont care I dont have the money for a lawyer because Bank of America has assets Im a resident of the state of California in the state of California, a confession of judgment which is the method used in order to initiate this lane is not valid they dont recognize them in the state of California In the state of New York, where this is issued, they can issue a confession of judgment and put a lien on an account, but not for out of state residence Furthermore, in the state of California, the only time you can put a levee in, and a of possession signed by a judge, and they do not have anything signed by a judge. The Levy was placed using a confession of judgment that is not valid in the state and which I reside. Bank of America is refusing to acknowledge their mistake even though just recently they lost and had to pay {$10.00} XXXX in a action lawsuit for this exact same thing for issuing and implementing levies for out-of-state levies, and not verifying the information and the guidelines for which the state of person lives The only reason I came into possession of this money in the first place was because my mother passed away, and this was payment from a life insurance that I desperately need in order to pay the funeral Ive never received any kind of paperwork. Nothing and Bank of America is refusing to assist in releasing these funds back to me even though I showed them police reports and pointed out their error. They dont want to do anything about it. I was injured recently and have been out of work for many months. I dont have the money to pay the funeral and wait for this money to come back. This is completely devastated my household, and will leave me in a state of bankruptcy. Please help

The Bank has taken it upon themselves to deny me phone access and insists on sending access codes to my email account to which I have said NO. I talked to a Bank Supervisor and we received double talk, open ended solutions on when my phone would be connected to my account. I have tried to work this out by phone, my wife XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX being present and we escalated to a supervisor who told us flat out they can not tell me when my account will connected to my phone again. My phone number has not changed in over 10 years and i have been a BOA customer for decades. The Supervisor named XXXX ( phonetic, as I had to ask him for his name twice and he stated in the manner of the XXXX XXXX guy, like you can't see my license plate # either. ) began yelling at my wife for her behavior telling her its open ended as to when they will recognize my phone number again. That is unacceptable as I am a 100 % XXXX XXXX Veteran and I need everyday access without difficulty to my accounts. This Bank has now ruined our weekend and our trust in the Institution. I need your help with this Institution to safeguard my funds and access to them. I am concerned the Bank is conducting a campaign RE : a " phone disconnect program '' because of inherent financial weakness and that I am feeling the beginnings of this.
