Consumer Complaint: I used my debit card to purchase a casher 's check from Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX and mailed the check to my property management company via USPS. Unfortunately the USPS lost my mail. I called the Bank of America on early XXXX, XXXX right after I found the check might be lost. But Bank of America told me they were not able to put a stop on a casher 's check. I have to wait for 90 days then file a claim. After 90 days, I went back to the Bank of America branch, they found the casher 's check was deposited by someone else on XX/XX/XXXX. They filed a fraud claim for me and issue me {$1500.00} credit back to my account on XX/XX/XXXX. However, on XX/XX/XXXX, I receive an letter from Bank of America said my claim was declined and they would reserve the {$1500.00} from my account on XX/XX/XXXX because I used my debit card and pin during the transaction. I think the investigation they did was regardless the cashier 's check fraud. I did use my debit card and pin to withdraw the {$1500.00} to purchase the cashier 's check. The issue is the casher 's check was stolen and deposited by someone else. After I received the letter, I went to Bank of America branch again, explain this to them. The banker helped me to reopen the case and asked their fraud department to reconsider it. I was also told they would not withdraw the {$1500.00} credit from my account until final decision. Today XX/XX/XXXX, I found {$1500.00} was deducted from my account. I called Bank of America and was told they was not reopen my case yet. So far, they did not provide the name who deposited the check and which bank the check was deposited to. Only gave a copy of the deposited check. But no signature on the endorse area. I lost my phone in a XXXX this same week and it took me a few days to get into my XXXX account Android banking etc. When I finally got into my accounts I seen that {$6800.00} was took from my account. I've been goin through the claim process for months and they keep dening me. I believe there is some XXXX motivation, I've endured some pain and suffering, bills are due and the holidays left me miserable.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/2023, I made several calls from phone number XXXX, I wired settlement funds in the amount of {$110000.00} to a corporate credit card ( I sent the wrong number, I meant to send it to my checking account ). The issue is that they keep putting me on hold and refuse to send the money back. THis is VERY urgent and would like assistance as soon as possible. I was left on hold 3 times for 40 minutes each. No songs, no person, they would leave. They are trying to keep my money. I know they are struggling, but didnt expect this. I now am calling and cant get anyone on the phone. THey have my money in an account i can not access and they keep putting me on hold. Very intimidating and predatory behavior.

Consumer Complaint: I have dealt with XXXX XXXX XXXX twice due to two previous complaints on this same matter. Hes supposed to handle CFPB complaints for Bank of America ( B of A ). Bank of America XXXX card has continued to find that Im responsible for fraudulent charges made to a XXXX card under me ( XXXX XXXX ) back in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX nearly a year ago. Although I did apply online for this card, I never utilized this credit card nor did I activate it. After long months of continuing to open fraud claims on the same matter ( XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2022 ) with BofA, filing a police report with the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( which I provided ) and filing a complaint for the second time with CFPB and dealing once again with XXXX XXXX I was finally informed over the phone by XXXXXXXX that this time the investigation concludes the funds in the amount of XXXX were deposited to, and I quote XXXX XXXX credit card under your name XXXX XXXX. These findings are inaccurate. I have proof in the form of bank statements which I requested/received from my XXXX XXXX credit card covering XXXX and in none of these will you find the claims B of A is making to. Im not sure why they cant seem to figure out how to do their job but it is affecting me.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America modifies due dates, asses late fees, and compounds interest in a way that should be illegal, if not already. Due to Bank of America modifying the date that a credit card statement is processed it is impossible to schedule a ( date ) recurring payment that assures you have a XXXX balance as of the statement date. Moreover, even if you do pick the correct date, charges that occur on that date, after the transfer of funds are carried forward. Bank of America asses interest on your account at the last possible minute but does not give you the option to pay after/just prior to this assessment. I was told over the phone this can be done, but it can not be signed up for online. I was charged late fees and interest totaling {$100.00} over XXXX months, while making a payment each month for the complete balance of the card as provided by BoA, within XXXX day of each other in calendar date. Bank of America never notified me of any interest or late fees being assessed and does not have an option to do so. They provide options to alert me on individual credit purchases over a dollar amount or checks posting, but can not alert me to late fees or interest assessed? This is an abusive banking practice and should be mandated by law. I was never notified the account was past due in XXXX, and only let me know after multiple days of assessing interest in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX 's payment. The late fees and interest are retroactively added to the previous month 's statement so that without opening past months statements in online banking there is no way to know that interest or late fees were assessed. I was never able to find a {$39.00} late fee I was told was assessed in XXXX anywhere in their XXXX app, which is my primary way to access banking. I only found it when viewing XXXX copies of statements from the PC. After calling Bank of America they offered to credit me back the {$100.00}, but said I would need to call back and pay an adjusted balance if I continued to use the card in XXXX, which does not make sense as interest should not be being compounded on purchases made prior to a closing date. Bank of America charging me daily interest on charges I am currently making is an abusive banking practice WHEN I'm not even aware my account is past due.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, my Bank of America Visa Credit Card ( ending in XXXX ) was used to make the following fraudulent charges : 1. XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX - amount of {$12000.00} 2. XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX - amount of {$110.00} 3. XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX - amount of {$210.00} 4. XXXX : XXXX GA XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX - amount of {$48.00} 5. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA - amount of {$43.00} These charges were reported as fraud to Bank of America on the same day, XX/XX/2023 ( Claim # : XXXX ). The two credit cards associated with this account were always in possession of the owners and were not used to make these transactions. In addition to being reported to Bank of America, a police report was filed with the XXXX Police Department ( Case # : XXXX ) and an Identity Theft Report was made with the Federal Trade Commission ( Report # : XXXX ). Bank of America has denied this claim twice. They conclude that the card and chip used for these transactions had to be the actual card. A finding that is impossible and one that I would deny and contradict under oath if needed. Additionally, they refuse to provide me with signatures used for these transactions and refuse to answer why a single transaction that in by itself is over the credit limit on this account of {$10000.00} was allowed to be made without any verification. Bank of America 's security features have failed to protect a loyal client of over 21 years and they are failing to take responsibility for their shortfall. I am requesting these fraudulent charges be removed from my account immediately.

Consumer Complaint: My partner and I have been Bank of America Clients for a few years and always do ATM CASH deposits into our checking accounts. Today XX/XX/23 we went to their branch on address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NY, XXXX to do a new ATM deposit, the time was XXXX ( pictures bellow ), we inserted our cash in total {$3300.00} ( the machine swallowed XXXX {$100.00} dollar bills + XXXX {$20.00} dollar bills ), while counting the money I took a picture and the machine simply went back to the main menu, The money didn't go through. We didn't get any receipt. We talked to the Bank of America stuff, they asked us to open a Claim by Phone XXXX and say the ATM ID - XXXX, and we did. They said we need to wait about two weeks to be investigated, this is ridiculous, we need this funds today. We trusted this ATM machine while the bank is opened, if we knew that this kind of issue could happened we would go to the cashier and have our fund right now. We really need help with this matter because this is the money to pay ours bills which is due today. Thank You for helping us in this case, we don't have more funds in hands to be deposited. For sure someone will open that machine today and will figure it out and see our {$3300.00} dollars there.

Consumer Complaint: I had some authorized charges on my Bank of America credit card which I have been using for 13 years. I called the bank and filed a dispute. There was a transaction from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for {$220.00}, XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, {$110.00}, XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX {$100.00} and 3 transactions from XXXX for {$110.00}, {$390.00} and XXXX. I did not authorize these transactions. The bank went ahead to close the claim stating that my card was swiped. I do not have any other person authorized to use my card.
