Consumer Complaint: To whom this may concern, Bank of America ( BOFA ). I have an EDD account with this bank. This is the second time my account has been compromised because I have this account. Thanks BOFA for protecting your members. On XX/XX/XXXX, I send the California EDD an email about a reduction of my payment because on XX/XX/XXXX, I was only able to withdraw {$440.00} from the ATM out of {$450.00} that was there. I was expecting to see {$900.00} like weeks before, so I sent EDD another email on XX/XX/XXXX because they had not responded to my email sent on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, they finally respond to my email and suggest I contact BOFA directly because their system shows {$450.00} paid out to me on XX/XX/XXXX which was late and {$900.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted BOFA on XX/XX/XXXX to find out what happened to my money and they tell me that ATM withdraws were made on XX/XX/XXXX for {$450.00}. I thought weird because the ATM withdraws in only 20 and 100 bill increments, otherwise the week before I would have withdrew {$450.00} also and not {$440.00} when expecting to see {$900.00}. I suspected the EDD was messed up like they have been in the past. In the same conversation I tell them it was not me or anyone in the world I know so they send me to the claims department. Wonderful. The person tells me to fax over a copy of my ID with my claim # XXXX. I do it that same day. Two days later I call BOFA claims and they tell me my claim was denied because either me or someone I allowed withdrew that money. Really BOFA, your accusing me of committing fraud against your bank. How dare you treat your customers like common crooks. What a disgrace to have America in your name and act like a bank for crooks, even your BOFA representative said that is is a common crime and my type of EDD card gets targeted all the time. Let me see your statistics of these crimes at your bank and most importantly, what the freak are you doing about it BOFA! Accuse me, send in the FBI then and sue me first so I can make some money on your bank. BOFA has the proof and video surveillance of this crime. I filed a XXXX XXXX Police report # XXXX XXXX with XXXX # XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX because the BOFA failed to mention this to me when I faxed over my info to the claims department. Now more time has been was wasted.

Consumer Complaint: Hi my name is XXXX XXXX I currently am a resident of North Carolina. During the Covid pandemic lockdown and mandated curfews put in place by our President and local authorities. So at that time I had been a small business owner for over ten years and at no fault of my own in order to do what our government said I filed for unemployment for the first in my life and I asked for my funds to be placed into my personal checking account but for some reason my NC unemployment was placed on the prepaid Bank of America card. There were some a few times that I didnt recognize the transactions on the card so when I called to ask questions about the transactions the employees of BOA filed dispute. With that getting resolved with no warning the bank froze my account and took it negative over {$4000.00}. The refused to tell me anything or release my money from unemployment during the pandemic! My power was disconnected in XXXX of 2020 where because of that my landlord evicted me and my son. Now since then I have a mountain of debt and late charges that are on my credit and I still am finghting with BOA TO RECIEVE MY MONEY OR ANY TYPE OF RESTITUTION!! When they do give me a little tiny bit of my money they make me wait 30 to 45 days to issue a check! Its absurd! How is this fair for us working class people to get treated so poorly? I have no idea! I have had Bank of America regulator complaints operations reach out to me only to send me SOMEONE ELSE BANK STATEMENTS FROM CALIFORNIA NAMED XXXX XXXX along some of my information as well! I am asking for some type of apology and restitution from the company because they have messed me and my son lives up more than they care to realize! I just want a place to live again with my son and it doesnt have to be a big nice place. If we could just go back to what we had before Bank of America costs us ours. {$35000.00} I feel like is the normal average income of annual income well thats my average anyway. I respectfully request that my voice be heard and for it to matter.

I instantly went to the police and filed a police report for everything that was going on. The officer in charge was on vacation so I had to wait until he got back to finalize the report but I was able to get in the report number over to BOA. The claim was originally denied. I called literally like every day. I was told it was denied because there was day where one of the transactions I confirmed. That never happened and if so it was on mistake. I forwarded over the police report and my claim was reopened. Since then I have XXXX every day its been escalated many times by many managers and is still under review and apparently waiting for merchants to respond. I also had my identity completely stolen a few years back so I was advised to forward over police reports dealing with that so whoever is working on my case has that information. Along with that I tried to reach out to each of the six merchants which was advised for me to do. None responded accept XXXX XXXX. They asked me for a bunch of questions to verify myself which I answered and there response to me was no account found. I have literally tried to do everything I can possibly do. I call every day its been going on over 30 days and now its hurting me financially. I am over 30 days late on my mortgage and its affecting my credit. I have a family XXXX kids and need this resolved. Please help me! The claim number is XXXX in the amount of {$7600.00}

I immediately called and got the account closed, no activity took place yet. Per their advice I froze my credit and changed all my passwords. XX/XX/2023, I woke to the same emails or an account being opened, a checking account from Bank of America. I called and took ages to speak to someone who then transferred me to the right fraud department and it immediately hung up on me. To then call back again and have to wait on hold to be told to call a specific 800 number not listed on their website. Im appalled that a banking institution would allow a checking account to be opened under a SSN thats frozen.

APPLY NOW During this time that we are in, working from home would be great. Therefore, you have been offered a campus employment office Job Opportunity at the convenience of your home or school, which serves as a gateway to pay all expenses incurred on campus. And I applied for the job. Then, they asked me for my phone number. Then i got contacted from XXXX. The he elaborated the task. After that they send me two checks to deposit and asked me to XXXX it. I knew it was scam then, I ignored it. But I got threatening calls from the local numbers. Then I became afraid and I XXXX him. After that they never called. I try not to XXXX but their calls were so disturbing and I am a XXXX. I don't know anything and I became afraid so. I called bank of america fraud claim department too and said it was a fraud transaction, please return back the money but they did not do that.
