Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I have opened a new Bank of America business checking account through a promotion link in the special offers and deals section of my accounts dashboard ( when logged in ). Based on my notes, the promotion code in the application was automatically populated as XXXX. The terms of the offer were that I would receive {$1000.00} bonus when I open a new business checking account and complete the following requirements : - Make Qualifying Deposits of {$30000.00} or more in new money within 30 days of opening the new business checking account - Maintain an average balance of {$30000.00} or more for next 60 days ( day 31-90 ) during the maintenance period I've made the deposit of {$30000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and have maintained this balance through XX/XX/XXXX. I have met the terms of the offer, but have not received the {$1000.00} bonus as advertised for meeting the requirements. On XX/XX/XXXX, Bank of America had indicated that the promotion code that was auto applied was expired and therefore not valid. The promotion code was auto-populated when I've applied for a new business checking account through the special offers section of my Bank of America dashboard XXXX I've attached a photo that shows the promotion on my desktop when opened as well as the date of XX/XX/XXXX. The invalid code auto-populating seems to be an issue with B of A IT and shouldn't be the customer 's problem as I've applied for a promotion through a valid link and have fulfilled all of the terms.

Consumer Complaint: I had a checking account with Bank of America. I was notified by mail that my account was being closed and that funds would not be returned. This was at the beginning of XX/XX/year>. I called Bank of America and spoke with someone I was told that my account was closed because of a fraudulent check that was deposited in XXXX, I am from Texas never have been to XXXX. I also received another letter saying I wouldnt be able to open another bank account for 5 years. This is extremely difficult. Im not sure if this is on my credit report which is resulting in me not getting an another bank account and a job. I would like this to be resolved

Consumer Complaint: Was trying to use the Bank of America ACH online Bill payment system to pay my contractor for work performed. On XX/XX/23 I attempted to pay {$7500.00} ACH Trace XXXX from my XXXX XXXX account to my contractor 's ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at BoA. On XX/XX/23 I attempted a second {$5200.00} payment ACH Trace XXXX from my XXXX XXXXXXXX account to my contractor 's XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX at BoA. XXXX XXXXXXXX confirmed sufficient funds were withdrawn from my account and sent to BoA 's ACH Clearinghouse. In both cases, the payments failed some type of audit check and I received emails from BoA that both transactions were voided and the funds were returned to the originating account. Four months later, the {$12000.00} has yet to be returned to my XXXX XXXX account. Since this is not my account at BoA and my contractor has not been willing to get on a conference call with BoA and me to authorize BoA to talk with me, BoA is unwilling to help me. My XXXXXXXX XXXX has been working with me and was finally able to contact someone in the BoA ACH Research Department, but to date we don't yet have the return ACH Trace number nor has BoA done anything to help find the missing {$12000.00} they claim was returned to me. I am willing to provide supporting email documentation if needed to resolve this.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I took out a " Zero-percent balance transfer '' on my Bk of America credit card and they charged me 3 % " transfer fee '' on a balance transfer of {$21000.00} totally {$600.00}. The " zero percent contract '' on my BofA VISA ( XXXX ) was for XXXX interest until XXXX of XXXX, but BofA withdrew a payment for the entire {$21000.00} from my checking account at the end of month one, terminating my transfer. When I called to correct the action, I got NO help. Rather BofA started charging me {$330.00} interest starting in XXXX & continuing each month until I paid off the balance and canceled the card in XX/XX/XXXX while requesting remittance of wrongly billed interest. Balance of {$17000.00} was paid to B of A on XX/XX/XXXX & card was CANCELED. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a billing statement with {$58.00} due. I immediately called BofA protesting. After sitting on hold for some 20 minutes, I elected to contact CFPB. XXXX of BofA promised a Customer Service Officer would contact me in 2-3 days to resolve the issue and hopefully refund me approximately {$1000.00} of interest charged on my account.

Consumer Complaint: I opened up a checking account with Bank of America XX/XX/year>. A regular checking account for my employment checks to be direct deposited into. I got approved for the account. Received an email that my debit card was on the way XX/XX/year>. Same day that I received an email that my card was on the way they typed of the decision letter to close my checking and savings account per their decision. I'm just trying to get my life back on track with having an actual bank account and do right by it this time. I always ask if my past will affect the possibility of my present and future with banking and I am always told no. I will be in the clear. It's been years. Any time that I call I just get the run around with an indefinite answer. It's always they can't specifically tell me its the choice of the company. I know if I was a white woman trying to get their life back on track it would be no issue for the bank to give a second chance but since I am an XXXX XXXX woman its a lot harder for that second chance. I do want the bank account to remain open so I can create the history I need to be able to move into my apartment and to be able to get credit line to create credit. I've called and have been passed around every department as they do every time they don't want to give a correct answer or they'll just figure I'll hang up and go about my day. I'm fighting to keep the account to established myself from the ground up. The debit card has reached my home and if they were going to closed the account I believed they shouldn't have allowed me to open it up nor should have they approved the application.

Consumer Complaint: Spoke to both XXXX and Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX. Indicated that this was not a valid hard inquiry because I did not request the account. I have since frozen all credit accounts, but since there is a hard inquiry that I did not authorize, the freeze will not apply to Bank of America as an " existing relationship ''. I requested that the inquiry be marked as attempted fraud, removed from my credit report and that all relationship between Bank of America be deleted so that it could not re-access my report without permission. The rep indicated that this would be complete within 5 business days. This has still not been completed, which puts me at continued risk of fraud, even with the frozen account. XXXX also indicated that they would document the issue and await further instruction from Bank of America, but neither has done their job and the issue appears to be left on my report.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was at the bank of america ATM on XXXX XXXX in XXXX, ar to withdraw cash in the amount of {$480.00}, I was about to choose my bill preference when a XXXX XXXX XXXX pulled through the lane on the back side of the atm HITTING the atm not once but twice. When this happened the machine had a message pop up on the screen saying the transaction could not be processed and a transaction reversal would happen. I was going to attempt to try to withdraw the money again on the same atm except now the machine said " Sorry we can't dispense cash right now ". I drove to the atm on the other side of the building thinking because the money was never dispensed surely it hadn't been taken out of my account. I was wrong. I now had insufficient funds. I parked and went into the bank of america and spoke with a teller, whom told me the only thing he could do was get me on the phone with the claims department. Then i was told it would take up to 10 days, possibly longer to receive a temporary credit, 45 days to receive a permanent one. IT WAS MY MONEY!! A vehicle that was too large to be in a lane hit the atm, and I have to wait for a credit?!?!?!?! A credit that ALREADY BELONGS TO ME?!!! Now I'm on day XXXX and I still have not seen a credit in my account. This is pathetic, there's video footage on the cameras at the bank, not to mention the ATM itself is over XXXX. Wrong in so many ways that I'm having to fight this hard to get money that already belonged to me.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by a buyer through XXXX XXXX. The item was {$40.00}. The buyer used XXXX to send the {$40.00}. Next thing I know there is something about a business account and having to meet certain criteria, so the buyer has to send {$360.00} more. Im then supposed to send the {$360.00} back ; which I did. Then this XXXX notice is saying he accidentally duplicated and I need to send {$360.00} more. At this point I knew something was off. I contacted the bank and reported it. A clan was filed for fraud/scam. The transaction was not stopped, which I nor the police officer understood. I contacted the police and a case was opened. # XXXX. I was told to call and give that to the bank. This morning I was contacted and told they were not going to re emburse the scammed money. There is a new XXXX policy that says if the scam is after XX/XX/year> and it was an imposter scam That the money has to be returned. Because you were tricked into transferring money, it is not an authorized transaction. This decision was made in 2 days. Was the police file even looked at? All the proof and conversation and XXXX e-mails are included. There is no denying this was a scam at my expense. Thank you.
