Consumer Complaint: I have a business account with Bank of America. A customer service representative took my name off an account that my company owns, I am the sole owner of the business. A customer service representative pulled up the signature card from where I had opened the account over ten years ago. He made me prove who I was. I was angry. While they did correct the problem after they put me through XXXX. It was no big deal. Today, I am filing this complaint because of another error that they have made on behalf of a loan that I have with Bank of America. They need to be held accountable for this action and for the loan on my RV. It should be a crime on how they have handle my accounts.

Consumer Complaint: I timely made a payment to Bank of America Credit Card Services on XX/XX/2023 in the amount of {$3200.00} ( which was more than the total amount of the outstanding charges, in effect i was paying ahead on charges that had yet to be posted ) using a teller 's check that I purchased from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( my bank here in XXXXXXXX XXXX ). Bank of America acknowledged receiving my payment by email to me dated XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/2023 I received a letter from Bank of America saying that the check was returned for " Insufficient Funds ''. Puzzled, I went to my XXXX XXXX to inquire how its teller 's check could have been not honored. I learned that Bank of America had not presented the check for payment. When I called Bank of America to inform its officers of this fact they insisted that I prove to them that I had sufficient funds in my account at the time I purchased the teller 's check which I did. Today I received a letter from Bank of America saying the check was returned due to " Unable to Locate Account ''. Again, I went to XXXX to inquire about this and again I was advised that Bank of America has never yet presented my check for payment. All of this is documented in correspondence I will present to you.

Consumer Complaint: BOA called me about my credit card payment. I told them that my husband has been very ill and XXXX co pays and doctor visits prevent me from paying my credit cards at this time. On XX/XX/XXXX I was checking my account and saw there was a {$170.00} payment made to my BOA credit card. I called them about it and they said I made the payment which was not true. They said they would refund the money in 7 to 10 business days. After 15 business days I called them again. They said it was done through my bill pay which I do not use. Again was told they would refund the money. I called them back and they told me that since it was done through my bill pay they could not refund the money. I even checked bill pay to make sure that I didn't somehow do it but was sure I do not use it. It said no activity. Now I have overdraft fees and overdraft protection used which brought my credit card over the limit. They also used both my husband and my overdraft protection for a joint account we have for the same overdraft so we were both charged on our credit card.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, 2023, my Bank of America XXXX BOA ) credit card ending XXXX received payment directly from XXXX XXXX for {$10000.00}. On XXXX, 2023, I requested the BOA to transfer the $ XXXX fund from the credit card into my checking account. On XX/XX/2023, the BOA sent me a mail on the fund transfer, debited {$9900.00} to my card ending XXXX, while stated to send a cachier 's check that amount to my address on file. So far I've never received that cashier 's check. Later on it is found in XXXX by the BOA Payment Error Inquiring that cashier 's check # XXXX was sent to a totally different address, and cashed out on XX/XX/2023 by a third party 'IngoMoney ' financial institution which is unknown to me. It does not have my account, nor link to my XXXX XXXX account. I have no way to access the refund. I made numerous calls from XX/XX/XXXX up to today XXXX XXXX, to the Card Customer service and Fraud department of BOA on this matter. I went to BOA local financial center a few times to discuss the issue and getting helps. I also talked to the Executive_resolution team of BOA attempted to resolve this issue. So far. the BOA made resolution based on error data in my address, BOA used the third party address to send the refund check, declined to correct the error, BOA wanted me to contact the third party and its bank on the refund money! Certainly it was impossible. Only the fund sender BOA can do it. BOA declines to make the refund available for me while charged to my card for {$9900.00}. I'm looking forward to getting the issue resolved fairly, i.e. BOA is obligate to recover the refund and send me the refund check of that amount so as to remove the charge to my card.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I received a phone call with the caller ID, " Bank of America. '' ( XXXX ) requesting to speak to XXXX but I confirmed with her that XXXX was my last name 10 years ago. She asked me if I used to live at " XXXX, XXXX, FL. I confirmed with her that used to my old address. The lady identified herself as " XXXX XXXX '' from Bank of America wanting to confirm if I opened an online bank account on XX/XX/XXXX. I responded saying " no. '' On her end, she informed me that someone had opened an online bank account under my name and would need extra alerts on the account. She asked me if I made a XXXX transfer of {$1300.00} to an individual named, " XXXX XXXX. '' I answered. " no. '' She stated on her end that there was a pending transaction on my account for the amount of {$1300.00}. She instructed me to log into my Bank of America account and enter XXXX that she was going to give me a confirmation code to stop the transfer. I was also given a confirmation number for this transaction, " DP XXXX. '' I did two transfers on that day with the confirmation code that she was giving me. She instructed me to not log into my bank of America account because she was going to work on the fraud transfer. The next following day, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from the same phone number and caller ID, " Bank of America '' ( XXXX ), from " XXXX XXXX '' also identifying himself as a Bank of America XXXX XXXX Department. He was assigned to work on my case. On that day, I was given two confirmation codes, ( XXXX ) & ( XXXX ). I was instructed again, that I needed to enter to my Bank of America ( BOFA ) through XXXX. He told me that a refund would appear the next day. On XX/XX/XXXX, " XXXX '' called me again and asked if I have received a refund on my account. I replied saying " No '' and they told me that there was an issue with the confirmation codes and had to be given new confirmation codes. I was given two new additional codes that day with the same instructions that I had to do before. They asked me if I had other bank accounts enrolled in XXXX. I replied saying " Yes '' and they asked me to login into my XXXX XXXX account to add alerts on my XXXX account. I also did 3 transfers in my other bank account. ( Checkings and savings account ). I received several phone calls on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX from " XXXX XXXX '' and " XXXX XXXX '' wanting to confirm if the funds were back on my account. I confirmed saying " no because I realized that the codes that they were giving me, it turned into actual money transfers. '' I told them that I was not going to take from them anymore confirmation codes because I was not receiving my money back when they informed me that I should receive a refund within XXXX hours and that's when I realized that something was wrong. They started arguing with me saying that " they wanted to help me out to get my money back but I needed to cooperate with them. '' Every transfer I made, they were giving me emails with my name on it. These are the emails that I were able to write down as part of the instructions. For security reason I am not adding the emails since all of them have my name on it " XX/XX/2023 : {$1300.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1900.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1900.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1400.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1900.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1000.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1500.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$190000.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1900.00}, recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1500.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1000.00} recipient XXXX '' " XX/XX/2023 : {$1000.00} recipient XXXX " XX/XX/2023 : {$690.00} XXXX '' " XXXX XXXX '' gave me a phone number to check on the status of the refund. The phone number is ( XXXX ) and to call them after XXXX XXXX. His direct extensions was " XXXX. '' On XX/XX/XXXX, " XXXX '' called me again to follow up on the refund. Once again I advised him that I was not going to sign into my Bank of America account, he proceeded to transferring me to " XXXX XXXX '' and I told her that I called myself " Bank of America '' to confirm this transactions and they confirmed that there was no transactions pending. So It was confirmed that I was a victim of a Scam. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called " Bank of America '' and spoke to an agent to report the scam. I was given two claim numbers. I called my other bank and also reported about the scam but did not receive a claim number from them. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a police report about the incident.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to dispute an inaccurate report linked with my name, regarding a recently closed account with Bank of America. This account was reportedly closed due to supposed suspicious and fraudulent activity, which I firmly believe is a misunderstanding that needs clarification and resolution. The transactions i made ( XX/XX/23 for a total of {$12000.00} ), ( XXXX a total of {$6800.00} ), and ( XX/XX/23 for a total of {$500.00} ) deemed " suspicious '' were individual checks I received from a client tied to my newly established business, registered as an LLC. As the business was in its nascent stages, these checks were deposited into my personal account at Bank of America. The funds from these checks were strictly related to my business operations, a fact that I can validate with the relevant LLC documentation and evidence containing the Consumer ID To my knowledge, these checks were legitimate. Therefore, it was surprising and distressing when my account was abruptly closed without any prior, direct communication or preliminary investigation. I had no cause to suspect any fraudulent activity linked with these transactions. My client, XXXX, provided these checks from XXXX XXXX XXXX as payment for business services rendered. As such, I request that you thoroughly investigate this matter and reconsider the nature of these transactions. And not once did i ever recieve that money or used that money because it was never deposited into my account.
